I've been a long-time customer at the FedEx on Sunnyside in Clackamas (Store #5303), regularly printing and scanning documents for my notary business. I've spent thousands of dollars here over the years and always appreciated the service--until recently. The other day, I needed to scan a full set of legal-size documents, around 140 pages. To avoid any issues, I split the documents into three smaller batches, just in case the scanner couldn't handle all of them at once. All the pages were the exact same size, and I fed them through carefully. Each time, after the scan appeared to finish, the machine threw a fatal error message. Not once, not twice, but all three times. This was clearly a technical issue with the self-service scanners. After the third failed attempt, I brought the issue to the front desk. Instead of acknowledging that their equipment wasn't working properly, they told me I would need to pay a fee to have the documents scanned behind the counter. That makes zero sense. Why should I have to pay extra because your machines failed? This isn't just about me being a frequent customer--it's about customer experience and common sense. When your tech fails three times on a simple scan of same-size documents, and your response is to charge the customer more, that's a terrible business decision. It shows a lack of problem-solving and a complete disregard for loyalty. Something has definitely changed here--whether it's the culture or the people, I'm not sure. But I used to rave about this location. Now I'm second-guessing whether I should keep bringing my business here. read more

Stevie, along with all other staff were extremely helpful. They got our banner printed beautifully and made sure it was on the right material. They were very efficient and even performed special cut on our coupons since we did not size them correctly. I would highly recommend this Fedex location, they really know what they are doing and happy to help in any way they can. Really frustrated with FedEx. I had a pre paid label but the quality was bad so I needed to reprint. I took to this location and given a card to scan in order to self print. My phone for some reason was unable to use the QR code and there was nothing they could do. They couldn't print it for me and I had to figure out how to print myself and come back. Worst service experience ever. Resume paper marked at $13.99. Charged $17.99. Came back in to get the $4 back. Then told they will not accommodate the price listed. So we opted to get a full refund. On a cash transaction he wanted my phone number. It was so poorly drawn out over a $4 difference. So we gave you a (503) go f yourself number. read more

Every time I come here they give me attitude and are angry for no reason. Nobody was in there besides me and the lady was acting like she had no patience. My husband came here to few weeks ago and as well attitude treated the customers with rude tone. Assistant manager on her badge. read more

very poor service, the young guy there could not scan the label, an said it was my fault an too small, i said i had shipped about 30 packages with them over last two weeks, he told me to not bring them in that small an maybe a good idea to take my business somewhere else, so i went down to the fed ex west linn store which i use to use when living in beavercreek, scanned the tags , got my receipt an left, west linn store was always very good, happy valley store is not user friendly, read more

Called and asked for inventory about a specific box needed for eBay shipping. The lady confirmed they had them in stock. I arrived and was told "no we don't have them in stock", I indicated I had just called. Clerk then states, oh we must have just sold out. I live about a mile away. None of the information needed to print high quality is available online, and once in store, you have to grovel for this information. Then when you find out what you need, they go from telling you that they will do a proof for free to charging $4 for one single side of a page. At first they wanted $3 for black and white ON ONE SIDE, after initially offering this for free. "Oh that guy isn't here today". Yes I know, Mary. But you also offered to do a free proof over the phone. I guess that turned out to be a lie to get me in to the store? When you agree to pay this fee, another person (the one who offered a free proof over the phone--named Mary) behind comes up and says "make sure you charge extra if you have to do any resizing". Thanks sweetie but I've spent the better part of two days groveling to find out the needed information about your file format requirements. No resizing is necessary--even though your software seems to auto resize almost everything I send you. By the way 96 ppi is a default setting for windows computers, not Mac (Mac is 72 ppi). I design on Mac. That means that when it my png file resolution gets automatically set to 96 ppi, that's happening on YOUR end, not mine. And the extended conversation with the other person which you must have heard overhead and not understood, included him being flat out incorrect about what was happening to the file. In fact, your machines and software were changing my file, and then you were blaming me for it! So you comments about "charging to resize" were completely inappropriate! In fact, I should have been charging YOU for changing my file! Every other FedEx print shop has given ten times better service than this one. The guy today literally said to me today "I don't work for free". Then why did you say 'hello' to me when I walked in the door sir? I hadn't paid you yet! Give me a break! Further, the dots per inch resolution claimed by them is not anywhere close to what they say their machines will do. Dots are plainly visible at "600 dpi". For color representation to be invisible, a much higher dpi than their machines will do is needed. At their price points and service level, their product quality doesn't make up the difference. At the level of egotism about their knowledge level, they should know and be able to explain the difference between the different levels of resolution. They don't know, and they can't explain it. And they also don't offer free proofs, for you to be able to see for yourself. Well, they do "offer" it. But they don't HONOR what they offered once you are ready to do the test! The people at this store have a serious lack of knowledge about what goes in to the process between design and printing, and a terrible attitude towards describing what is needed from the customer to achieve their goals on their specific equipment with their specific software. They want to charge you for breathing the air in their store--which is the only way to find out what their capabilities are, and what their format requirements are! There is nothing online about ppi, dpi, file format specifications, what info is needed... nothing! A terrible experience, and still after negotiating with them they want $4 for a single side of page! That's the test "discounted" price! The real price starts with $12 just to set up your job! For one page! Even then, the quality is only marginally better than the self serve printers! A TOTAL scam. Go literally ANYWHERE else. Like even a different FedEx store. I've had ten times better service from other FedEx stores that have the same printing capabilities. They call me back, they email me back, they follow up and they actually care about the product. These folks happen to be closer to me. But they are awful! It's worth an extra drive to go to a different store. West Linn, perhaps! David at West Linn is an all star! HE is the one who helped me figure out the issue--by phone and email! A man at a different store! Who I wasn't even standing in front of! These folks, on the other hand, would be better off clocking out and going home. Just phone it in today. You already are. Just make it official. If you "don't work for free", why did you greet me when I walked in the door? I suppose we are to work out our transactions and jobs over a series of grunts and nods? Or would that be "working" too?
