I just took a person to be repaired and I do not have it back yet but from the looks of the purses in his shop he does a very good job with leather. This place is in Greenfield and a little off of the beaten path so you may need to look for it but it is worth looking for. To repair my boots it was under $30 so for another 5 years of life or so it is so worth it!
