The 2005 era technology exacerbates the longstanding problem with customer service at this chain. I was having trouble with my personal printer / scanner and had to swing in. It was a big headache. - There is always someone using at least one customer service rep's time to send a fax on the year 2005 era fax machine which of course takes forever. They need to be able to send faxes from the copiers. - It takes forever to print documents individually from a thumb drive. You have to manually select black and white and go through multiple selections with poor touch screen effectiveness. If you don't choose black and white then it charges 50 cents a page. - You can't scan and email, or scan and store on a thumb drive. You have to take your printed documents direct to the counter where they charge about a dollar per page to scan and store. - The lack of emailing scanned docs means you can't scan and email from your iPhone. Rather you have to go home to access your desktop or laptop. That's a huge time drain. If you're using a pad only then you're out of luck. - At least one copier is always jammed or out of paper. - Customer service reps ignore you. I had a quick question and the other customer getting help in the fax actually had to point out that I needed attention after standing aimlessly for five minutes. I think the rep purposely positioned herself with her back to me and avoided eye contact. - It is understaffed. If there were tech improvements and machines kept up better along with improved customer service, this would be less of an issue. - Employees don't smile or engage in anything other than bare minimum communication. I would short their stock if I did any trading on individual stocks. read more

As a photographer, there are sometimes that I need last minute enlargements and nothing else is available. My experience with this location was that on a Thursday morning I had submitted an order for a canvas print that I needed Friday evening, giving them more than 24 hours to complete. I had received a call Thursday evening from someone asking if I had submitted an order for a canvas print and I had told them yes I did, and that was it. So I thought it was going to production at that moment. I was wrong. I called Friday morning at 2 am to make sure that my print will be ready by evening time. She said please hold, and then came back to tell me that the canvas person doesn't come in until the weekend and it wouldn't be ready until Sunday night. Oh because no one told me that. I had told her to cancel the order then and I will order from somewhere else. If you need prints, send it to the 24 hour location off on Southwest Fwy in Greenway or if you def have the time, order for Akers Lab. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: I received an email Friday evening saying that the order was complete, I had called them and they had told that they had completed the order, despite me telling them to cancel it. I had told her that I had ordered an enlargement order but for a glossy print rather than a canvas print to another Fedex, but I told them I would still go ahead and pick it up even though I already paid for the other enlargement. When I had arrived, I was rung up and they had adjusted what I had paid at the other Fedex so only had to pay $1. Overall it wasn't the best experience but glad they corrected the mistake. read more

I was surprised and very thankful to find a 24 hour location still open within a reasonable distance from me. It was a bit of a drive, about 25 minutes from where I was, but worth the trip. From the moment I walked in both staff were eager to help me with my job, stopped what they were doing, and processed my order immediately. Well done. FedEx is insane. My pipes burst in Texas and My step dad managed to find the parts I needed in Louisiana and paid for Overnight saturday delivery on a Friday before lunchtime. We were assured that the parts would arrive Saturday morning by 8am. We chose this route instead of meeting at the Tx/La border as I am due any day with my baby girl. After the package was picked up we received a notification that the package would not be delivered until Monday (today) at 8am. He requested the refund for the amount he paid for the overnight saturday delivery as it was the woman's fault that processed the order, we only received 20dollars back. I received a text at 9:24am stating that the package was scheduled to be delivered at 8am today, clearly that is not correct. Status online changed to before end of day. Now the message says pending. WTF?!?!?!? I have not had running water to my home since Tuesday when the pipes burst. If I had known it was going to be like this I would have just waited for Amazon. read more

Let me start off by saying I joined yelp after the horrible service I received at this place. Also, I've never written a review on anything until now. I went to this store to get my resume copied on quality paper, wanted to mail it and wanted to buy card stock for future use that had nothing on it. To begin this story I had gone by the UPS store but they didn't have resume paper in stock so I quickly went by FedEx to buy it there and was going to ship it to Austin. I was asked if I needed help and said what I was looking for as far as paper to copy my resume on. The guy pulled out a book and quickly asked me 20 questions about what I wanted which I replied that I had some example paper I had bought from FedEx previously to do my resume. He continued to talk and ask which paper I wanted and I finally had to cut him off and remind him I needed to show him the example. His reply was,"just relax man" when I was short with him. We identified the appropriate paper finally and I said that I would like some quality stock paper as well to take home with me for future use. He went and got the paper for copying and I began to browse for some other items I needed. After about 10 or 15 minutes he walked by me after helping someone else and checked the copier for my resume and said, "oops it ran out of paper". Dude seriously you just went to get all the paper to make the copies how did you run out? Keep in mind I only needed 15 copies and its been almost 15 minutes. I then went to grab a shipping envelope from the area where they were located and filled out the form to send it to Austin. When he finally had finished my resume copies he walked over long enough to tell me apparently I had gotten the wrong envelope to which he politely pointed back at all the other envelopes where I had just got the one and said you need one of those. Keep in mind he has just pointed me back to the same envelopes where I grabbed the one I currently had in my hand. So I go grab one that is different assuming it is the right one and when I return he informs me that I am apparently an idiot to which I say just check me out I'm going back to UPS to send my stuff. Not that he seemed to care about my agitation at all. So I am finally checking out and I notice he has made copies of my resume onto the card stock I was purchasing for future uses and decided to just make copies of my resume on it instead. When I mention this he states he'll take care of it which in his mind meant keeping my resume under the counter and giving me blank card stock. I am sure some people dream of having their resume found under a FedEx counter and getting an awesome job but I would rather my personal info be kept on job search sites and not in a FedEx store. He was also nice enough to tell me that it was only .02 cents more to make the copies of the resume on the card stock. Apparently he missed the point where I wanted them for other uses other then having my resume copied on them. Of course it was no big deal to him that I never intended to put my resume on the card stock. I then paid for my stuff left and headed to UPS across town at Memorial and Kirkwood. It was a great experience the ladies were extremely helpful and I didn't even have to fill out any paperwork to have my items shipped. They even had the same address on file already that I was sending it too. The truth is before this I didn't care about FedEx vs. UPS but after this I will definitely only be using UPS. After FedEx today UPS restored my faith that customer service isn't dead. If you really must use FedEx I would steer very clear of this location. Even the manager that was onsite didn't seem to care about the lack of urgency of his employees. Massive fail for FedEx. Terrible. My boyfriend and I needed to print out some documents. We went to the self serve station first and it was giving us blank copies, yet charging us. Yes, the place was relatively busy, but that wasn't an excuse for the terrible customer service we received. My boyfriend waited for 15 minutes and was not recognized by the staff and he had to speak up that he had been waiting to be serviced. The staff member named Orlando said he would be with him in a minute. As soon a my boyfriend approached the counter. The guy walked away to help another customer. That ticked me off so I spoke up and asked for the manager. The manger was right in front of me not helping his employee and had a terrible attitude. All in all we got our paperwork, but not with a smile nor without hesitation. If this fedex wasn't so close I would not return. read more

I came in here extremely frantic because I had a job interview and I still hadn't printed my résumé.... It was a hot Houston day and I came in, hair in a bun, no makeup, sweaty, and pressed for time. I tried to access the Internet on the computer and something was preventing me from getting to my email, which had my résumé.... Anyhow, DARRYL was amazing and saw me freaking out. He quickly told me that I could send my résumé to the FedEx email and while I got ready in the bathroom, DARRYL printed my stuff and I made it to the interview on time. Today, my cousin has an interview.. So we came to FedEx. Unfortunately, it seems as though the manager is not as excited to be there, as he was pretty dry.. However, DARRYL was there again!! Large facility, I've come by a few times to overnight some things. Service was slow though, even though nothing else was happening.

Go here only for self service and don't expect any help because you will be faced with unhappy employees who doesn't care to help and claim "your paper might mess up my machine". HORRIBLE SERVICE STAY AWAY AT ALL COST: Horrible service! My company uses FedEx for their printing service. They are great company but this location is far worst experience I have ever had with FedEx. The staff are unhelpful and unknowledgeable. I understand it's Friday and they are looking forward to their weekend but that's no excuse to treat your customers rudely. I went there to place a printing order valued at $8K for my company no one wanted to help me. They acted as if I was not even standing there. I stood there for 16 min before a girl greeted me asked how can I help you. I told her my situation and what I had on a flash drive to see what other service I will need to complete this presentation. Her reply: well you don't know what you want so browse our online site and come back when you're ready. Those were her exact words! Long story short I ended up going to the store on Eldridge. Smaller store with only one person in there and he was really helpful. Mosin was his name he even stayed after the store closed to help me. I kid you not he worked with me for almost two and half hours. All said and done the order was valued at 13K but I guess with BP discount it came out to 8K. Monday morning they delivered it to my office 8 am sharp. I have advised all my colleagues not to use the Tully office and take their business to Eldridge. read more

This location ruined my event. A simple print and left-hand corner staple job, gone completely wrong. I picked up my materials for a workshop I was teaching and didn't count the copies. of a 25 copy order, I received 13 copies. Discovering this upon my return to my business i put a call into this 24 hour shop, and got an employee on the phone who said they would reprint the missing copies and deliver them. This was at 8:30 am . . . my class started at 9:00 the Fedex location was 10 minutes away from me. 5 phone calls later with everyone telling me each time I called in that it was definitely on the way. The final call I asked for a manager and was placed on hold for 5 minutes (according to the call timer) before I hung up. At 11:00 the Fedex truck rolled up.
