Tried to return a guitar that my grandfather purchased before his sudden death - scanned the QR code and the screen said "issue with barcode please see cashier". The woman at the register says the label has already been printed so I have to get a whole new label. Funny, because the screenshot of her computer (she printed off to make a point) clearly states "reprint available". I called to ask to speak to a manager and the woman responded "we don't have one here at the moment". Yeah I can tell. I genuinely look forward to never stepping foot in this building ever again. I'm writing to express my growing frustration with the inconsistent and, frankly, unprofessional customer service I've repeatedly experienced from a particular staff member at your location. As a paying customer, I expect to be acknowledged and assisted when it is my turn--especially after I've waited patiently in line. Unfortunately, one employee consistently fails to honor that basic courtesy. She often begins assisting other customers, answering phones, or handling unrelated tasks during my service time, even though I've already waited for my turn. It feels dismissive, and quite frankly, I'm beginning to take it personally. What adds insult to injury is the inconsistency in pricing and service. On my recent visit, I was quoted $7.50 just to backspace a document so it would fit on one page. I agreed to pay that fee. However, she then attempted to charge me $15 for two single-sided color copies, which is outrageous. On top of that, she previously told me that a simple service couldn't be completed until noon the next day--even though it was not busy and the task would have taken less than ten minutes. Another associate--professional and kind--completed the exact same service immediately, and even assisted another customer at the same time without issue. The contrast in service was stark. At this point, I feel targeted or intentionally dismissed by the original staff member, as this has happened on multiple occasions. Moving forward, if I see that she is the only one available, I will either wait for another employee or go to a different location altogether. No customer should feel disregarded or overcharged for basic services. I was having a very difficult time getting one package shipped just because of the size and the dimensions. However, when I went in the gentleman, Michael, who is the assistant manager, was more than helpful and was able to get my package shipped for me, while also being very friendly and kind he was assisting three other people. I had a print job that needed a quick turn around and all members of the staff that I had contact with were engaging - they asked what I needed to do. In particular, Denise, who was the one who helped me most often deserves special note: she was quick at her job, patient when needed, and just a nice person and made it a pleasant experience! They keep you posted when the job is done and even had it done before they promised. You can never predict what other jobs might come in before yours, so it helps to approach this like there may be some wait, and if not, it's a bonus. read more

This place is fine if you have a package with a prepaid label but I made the mistake of going there needing a shipping label. I was unlucky enough to be in front of a person that needed help making a no parking sign for the Woodward Dream Cruise. Even though I could see two other employees, it seems that the only one working with customers was the one helping this woman with her no parking sign and she was needy. The other people were FedEx drivers. Twenty-five minutes into my wait (no joke), I decided to write this review. A person called during my wait and got more attention than me. It took 30 minutes for me to ship my package. It's funny that the Dream Cruise inconvenienced me even though it was a week ahead of time and I was nowhere near Woodward. But FedEx should have more than one person working or at least teach their employees how to multitask. This was a ridiculous wait to ship a package. I should have used UPS or USPS. read more

It is bigger than it needs to be in the 21st century. 3/4 of the room is very widely spaced copy/fax/email machines, and widely space sparsely stocked displays of paper and some office supplies. The other 1/4 of the room is for print jobs done by the staff and a shipping center. Pretty basic, nothing special. I have been there twice, once the staff was great, this time they were slow and bordering on rude. I have to think they will downsize or go out of business soon. read more

Let me just say I come to this location OFTEN to ship and print. Today I had 2 small packages to ship and had the privilege of working with Pierre. No hello, how are you, a smile even. He mumbled the entire encounter and when I kindly said 'I can't hear you', he proceeded to YELL. All I could think about was, what if I had been deaf or elderly even? He truly was so unpleasant I hope he was just having a bad day; but even so, chill out. Smile maybe. I'll never walk up to the desk if he's there again or just frequent another location. read more

She's friendly and knowledgeable and I wish she worked at the Shelby Twp. location which is much closer to me! Yesterday was an abysmal day at the Madison Heights FedEx. What I thought would be a quick and friendly visit to ship a rather back-breaking package turned out to be an experience of absurd attitude and flat-out arrogance. For there was an evil old witch of a lady working that dark and sunny daynight. I do apologize that my phone rang on a TUESDAY AFTERNOON. But I assure you, my intention was to let the caller know that I'd promptly return their call. But you, you evil, evil witch you... you flung your jiggly underarms in the air while simultaneously walking away and whispering your evil incantation. Aha! Jokes on you though as I was done with the call before you could burn off a single calorie with the few steps you took. How about plain old English? You lady, are the epitome of terrible and rude customer service. Your sense of entitlement is comical. That phone call that made you think you had the right to cop an attitude with me over took less than 30 seconds. Even if I chose to talk on the phone while having you prepare my shipment, you still wouldn't have had any right to act the way you did. You see, I AM THE CUSTOMER. But alas, I chose not to be rude. But I also did not want to ignore that call which I've been waiting for. All I wanted to do was let the person know that I'm momentarily busy and would call them right back. Too hard for you to understand? Simply put... I wanted them to sit tight and expect my call. Madison Heights FedEx... we just aren't right for each other. Too bad really... I run a business that requires frequent shipments. By the way... there are plenty of people who would appreciate your job. Since you are so above it, might I suggest you get on that high horse of yours and ride off into a black hole? That way, a more deserving person can have your position. Yeesh... She was friendly and very knowledgable and was able to stick to her verbal service level agreement with respect to timeframes and cost. FedEx is HORRIBLE if you must get a delivery through FedEx CANCEL IT!!!! YOU WILL NOT GET IT!!!!!! First of all FedEx will take almost an hour before you can speak to someone, they will put you on hold and send you to someone else who won't pick up the phone, you would just get hung up on. Then they will tell you that they are taking care of it or they're going to call someone else to let them know about your package and package number and they will give you a call back, they NEVER call back. If you need to get something, go to Amazon because FedEx is fucking up everyone's packages. oh yeah, my package also got split into two pieces and they never notified me that I have two tracking numbers , and I was never able to find out when the packages might ever show up. A bunch of clowns who will try to steal your packages that you have held at their location (when you can't be home to sign for a delivery like most people) who think they can ignore you and get away with it by intentionally failing to contact you to let you know your package is ready for pick up, going so far as to make your package's tracking info incorrect, lying to you saying its not ready, so they can claim you abandoned your valuable items and keep them for theirself. Sound like a made-up group of people? Its not. Such people exist at this store. Do they even have a manager here? Fire them! No accountability, they think. Well, wait for the criminal charges to be filed you jerks and civil lawsuit. You really stole from the wrong person this time. read more

I don't work at FedEx so when I walk in to ask questions I don't know the answers to, I expect the employees to be accommodating and demonstrate good customer service. The African American lady (just for descriptive purposes) was not helpful and just plain rude. I asked her a couple questions and instead of leading me to where I needed to go, she just said "over there" and looked at the area! HUH? She also acted like I was bothering her. I didn't give one star only because there was an Asian/Indian man that was very helpful. Corporate needs to put her on a performance improvement plan as oddly enough two people I spoke to about this location experienced the same treatment.
