I paid this UPS Store over $200 JUST for packaging four car wheels (over $50 per wheel). This did NOT include shipping -- I provided the labels separately. These were shipped as four separate shipments (one wheel per box) and every single wheel arrived damaged. When you are paying $50+ per wheel for what is ultimately cardboard and packing materials, the expectation is that you are paying for the store's expertise and professional judgment in packaging expensive, heavy items so they actually arrive safely and undamaged. I specifically chose to pay professionals because I wanted them packaged correctly and safely. I even called ahead to discuss box size and was told extra room would be left for bubble wrap, padding, and protective material to keep the wheels immobilized. Instead, the extra space was left empty. The wheels arrived sliding around inside oversized boxes with only a couple of lightweight packing pillows that did absolutely nothing to secure heavy metal wheels. There was no meaningful foam, Styrofoam, rigid protection, or face protection, which is especially frustrating because the wheel faces (the most exposed surface) are exactly what suffered the worst damage. Afterward, I spoke with the manager, Joseph, who was polite and acknowledged the wheels had been poorly packaged. He specifically told me the store should have offered a more robust packaging option, which I absolutely would have paid for had it been offered. He also told me he intended to refund the packaging charges but said he needed ownership approval and was confident it would be approved. The next day, ownership refused. I was then told to pursue a UPS insurance claim -- despite the store acknowledging the damage resulted from inadequate packaging. UPS reviews packaging as part of any claim, leaving me in the frustrating position of being expected to pursue reimbursement for damage the store itself acknowledged resulted from how the items were packed. I remained polite and patient over multiple calls and gave the store every opportunity to make this right. Unfortunately, after they refused to even refund the packaging charges, I was left to pursue other avenues. See the photos and judge for yourself how a heavy wheel would fare bouncing around in a box with that much empty space and so little protection. If you are shipping anything valuable, fragile, or heavy, I would think very carefully before trusting this location to package it.

I had a ~10' conifer that I needed a price to transplant from the front to the back yard. Obv. having this done would only make sense if the cost to transplant was less than just buying a similar tree to plant in the back (then cutting down the one in front)[sorry, but as much as we like the current tree alive, it had to be an economic decision]. Short version of the story: I was quoted a very reasonable price to have the tree moved/transplanted, Mencos' crew (5 guys) was out the next day, and did a fantastic and quick job. Took them about 1.5 hours to dig out a big root cluster with dirt, strap the tree to a beam, and lug it to the back and re-plant it. Even shorter: I'd definitely hire them again for any tree work or landscaping, and plan on getting them back out to do a drip irrigation system for the front once we have it all planned and planted out.

Racist old white male employee with glasses this morning. Great service by the store manager (Robert), however. I printed here several times and this morning I needed to print here and then drop the box, which already had label on ready. Usually at other Fedex or UPS in this city or any other, the work for recording label and printing result takes less than a minute. So I walked towards the cashier. There was noone in the line except me (another customer was working with another employee). This Fedex employee from Printing section initiated his help to another senior white woman who just came in right at the same time I was looking for people to drop the box at the cashier. She asked about shipping and packing her gifts, which were not ready in a box. So she dropped her goods at the counter and went out. This old white male employee ignored me (an Asian female) to serve the other customer, who would need much more time for packing her gifts, not ready. He continued to ignore me when the woman was out. After a while of no sign of the woman, I asked this employee whether I could drop my box there. He questioned if I had label. I said yes but when he knew I needed label, he said that I had to wait because of two customers in front of me (I barely saw anyone in front of or behind me!) If he couldn't help me, he should have clarified that only other employees could do. So I waited while he was just looking into the computer screen. No other customers were in the line waiting. After about 2-5 minutes, the store manager came and offered to help me. He must have heard the conversation. And thus just scanned the label and handed me the printed receipt in less than a minute without asking. I thanked the store manager and appreciated his manner. But felt badly treated by his employee (?). This old white male preferred to let the Asian female customer to wait rather than offering 60 seconds or less. He either was racist, or had no common sense and customer service at all. Or all of the above, perhaps? First time I had to drop a box at this location. I used Fedex to print a tons of time and usually had good opinion of their service in other cities. Obviously not with this specific employee! Have all other fellow citizens and customers had to endure this attitude? Total abomination because the experience caused me pain and fueled me to write this review. My partner often says to let him deal with this white people or fellowmen every time this kind of experience happens. The point is why I should do that, to begin with!? read more
