FedEx Office Print & Ship Center - Shipping Centers Near Me - Stamford, Connecticut

This FedEx location is one I often visit given its proximity to my house. It can be hard to get a parking space out front - be aware it has a good amount of parking available behind the building which is hidden, you can then access the FedEx by going through the back entrance (lots of steps though to walk up, if you have mobility issues, focus on parking out front). This particular FedEx location seems understaffed, you will often need to wait 5-10 minutes for help, don't expect to be acknowledged, staff will say someone else does that (e.g. if you request binding) and they don't know where that staff member is so please wait because maybe they are out on a break, etc. That said, once they are helping they are very genuine and eager to help you out. Hence, while I think the franchisor deserves 0 stars, the staff make up for it once there is someone able to actually help. Given 3 stars is A-OK (which it isn't), 2 stars is an appropriate descriptor for me given I can usually visit outside of their busy hours. If you visit during busy times (e.g. after work on a weekday or on a weekend), then 1 star. read more

Absolutely dispicable customer service. I first waited in line patiently behind a man for 20 minutes because Kevin (the store manager) was so slow, but I was so patient and kind. Then when it was my turn because Kevin was so slow a line built up behind me and he told me he was going to take other people because I was "taking too long" I kindly reminded him that I waited patiently for the man before me and he said "it wasn't 20 minutes you're taking way longer than that" I grabbed my items and said I was going to another FedEx and I was going to get his name to make a complaint and he grabbed his name tag off and held it in his hand! I have a live picture. Not the first time I had horrible customer service at this location and I'll let everyone know to use UPS instead and if it has to be FedEx DEFINITELY not this location. Guys. We have to do better. You have so many devoted (or maybe just desperate?) customers who all agree you're painfully short staffed. When you're not rude, dismissive, or totally oblivious- you're inept or totally confused about responsibilities that you should know. This is your job, not mine, I have no idea what you're supposed to be doing so please do not ask me for guidance. I relied on this location when I was in art school and now I rely on this location to print out marketing images for my job. No matter what time of day I arrive my materials are always "just finishing up" or I'm waiting in a line of 10 people deep, while 2 employees shuffle about behind the counter. I don't seem to understand why there are never enough employees and why everyone is so "hey man whatever" about pretty important tasks that you're being paid to perform. If it's too much work for too few employees, perhaps we should implement new delegation or prioritization practices. It's honestly not that hard to get people in and out in a timely fashion while giving them their due time and attention. It pains me to have to resort to this place, because it exhausting to deal with. Negative stars to this fedex office. Extremely rude, non cooperative staff, who has no knowledge of the FedEx Services or simply doesn't want to work. I wanted to send some documents to Canada along with a pre paid, self addressed envelope. I told my requirements clearly to the lady at the counter (the rudest customer service person I came across in the recent months) Her first response was, it can't be done. Flat rejection. After I insisted that it can very well be done based on what I read online, she chose to reveal that this would need opening an account with FedEx. (Then why didn't she tell me so, in the first place) I opened one promptly and went back to her. She accepted my documents and proceeded with payment without any action about self addressed envelope that I needed. At that point, I reminded her that I need self addressed envelope to be included in the same post, that's the whole reason I opened FedEx account. Again same response, it can't be done. I asked why not? Another prophecy - that would need you to create a label online and email that to the FedEx office email to be printed and included. I don't understand - when I approach you for help, why you straight away refuse that it can't be done...when you know it can be done. Why don't you tell me all the steps that need to be taken to make it happen without me cross questioning you every time. If you are so lazy to perform your job duties, for which you are being paid, then why you chose to work there in the first place. I walked away from this office without posting my documents. I'm giving this FedEx - Kinkos branch no stars (even though for me to post I have to give them 1 star - I guess for convenience on FedEx) bc they are understaffed for a Saturday and wouldn't do any printing requests even after waiting in line. They failed to acknowledge a customers presence for their printing service and when they refused to proceed to handle the request we left. That is totally unacceptable and if I was the manager of that branch I would reconsider the current resources. THERE WERE 3 STAFF FOR 6 ppl in line.!!! read more

I had my package sent here because I was on vacation and didn't want it sitting outside my house. NOWHERE did it say that they would not only return it after 5 business days, but would put a return label on it as if I RETURNED IT. The ONLY reason I even knew it happened was because I got an email from the company I ordered from saying they processed my refund that I requested. FedEx took it upon themselves to just send it to be returned without contacting me. After talking to 3 useless fedex reps they said there was nothing they can do. I just hope that this post will make people think twice about using fedex, because they absolutely don't deserve the business read more

Site doesn't work (which leads to about 15 minutes of aggravation) and there are always lines at this Fedex. Get it together.

From a printing/reliability standpoint, they are utterly incompetent. Always understaffed so you have to wait awhile, but then they are never close to meeting confirmation times. If there is an issue that would cause a delay they also don't inform you. read more

In January, 2012, I had a courier deliver approx. 250 lb very fragile astronomical optics and electronics to this FedEx Print & Ship office in Connecticut. They packed and shipped everything FedEx ground to me in Texas. Nothing was damaged during shipment owing to their packing expertise and personal attention. I can highly recommend this FedEx office. Details: Because I live in Texas, I will probably never use the FedEx Print and Ship Office in Stamford, Connecticut at 980 High Ridge Rd again. And, I am in no way connected to FedEx. The FedEx office on High Ridge did a superb job packing and shipping 8 large, heavy boxes of very fragile astronomical equipment to me in TX. Not a single item was damaged during shipment. I purchased a large telescope, high-precision mount, electronics, and "Extras" on eBay. It was an estate sale in Greenwich, and the eBay listing said "Local Pick-Up Only." So, I hired a courier in Greenwich to pick up and deliver the items, and then I searched for a shipping office in the area to pack it well. A manufacturer of one piece of equipment in Ontario warned me to ship it only by FedEx Ground. Don't send it by air or by any other carrier. FedEx Ground was the only carrier that shipped his equipment consistently without damage, he said. Another FedEx office referred me to the huge FedEx World Service Center hub a few miles north in Stamford. Sounded reasonable. I spoke to someone at the World Center about packing assorted fragile items who said, "No problem." The day before courier pick-up, I called the World Center again and was referred to the shipping expert, Linda, who informed me that the World Center does NOT pack! Thanks to Linda, I narrowly dodged a bullet. I called the High Ridge Rd location and asked for the manager. I emailed instructions about how to double-box certain items and told her to, "Take your time and pack it right." I had no idea that "Extras" would include so many items, so much fragile glass. They packed everything over several days. She called me several times with questions and an estimate. My instructions were followed to the letter. Everything, including items I had not described, was packed thoughtfully and with care. It took 2 to 3 hours for me just to unwrap everything. Owing to the weight, shipping was not cheap, but the packing charge was quite reasonable. read more

I have come here for years doing a large amount of business as a salesperson. The staff was always kind and incredibly courteous along with competent and professional. Since Eddie, the former manager left the only employee left with the former skill set is Patty. Sad to say I will no longer be using services here. I sent them via email a small order for postcards to be printed and I approved the order through email. Evidently they didn't receive the email, so I went there in person to submit the order. The man put the order into the system for me and said it would be done the next day. When I went back the next day (in evening, before they close), the small order STILL had not been completed. They suck.. The guy did not even know how to use a fax machine. Tried 6 times, clearly was not trained well. Did not tell me what was going on so was just awkwardly waiting for 20 minutes kid you not. His coworker stands next to him and says just do it the old fashion way bring it in. Some people cant just bring it in with their work schedule which is why i went in. Its just funny really, these people lack customer service skills and dont like their job just need the money. read more
