Disclaimer: I consider myself a 'customer service zealot'. I was in town visiting my parents, when I decided to visit some local BNI chapters while in the area. Fresh out of business cards on my drive up from Jacksonville, and had only 90 minutes before my first BNI meeting. As I walked off the mean streets of Tysons, VA, I was greeted with a hearty welcome. I was still some 20 yards from the desk,/! Who dared to exhibit true customer service skills in the year 2023? A new rival, or perhaps a 'ride or die' to join my customer service crusade?!? Quick tip: All you business owners out there - this is how you're supposed to welcome someone to your business (esp. post-covid). I responded in kind (from 20 yards out) and threw down the gauntlet: "Do you want to be a rock star" After a quick trip to Best Buy for a new laptop, I returned and asked if Andy had anything for me. His response: 'how about a box of spanking new cards?' During his reveal of said box's content (just like the ones I've HEARD are on YouTube). Uncle Mike, the proud owner of 250 sales opportunities , felt a sudden accumulation of moisture in one of his eyes, and reached this conclusion. Andy is not a rival, but indeed worthy of inclusion as a fellow customer service crusader! I've found my ride or die promotional material contact. Now it's your turn: 'come get some'! The WORST FedEx I've ever been too. Ever. I'm traveling for work and need to ship multiple envelopes. Second day in a row. No envelopes available to package documents. If they had envelopes I could just drop and go. But for the second day I am more than 10 minutes in line with multiple people in front of me. I've asked for envelopes and I was told to wait. They just focus on gauging you-- they wanted to charge me $95 to print a PowerPoint file because the self-service machine can only accept pdfs. So now I'll be driving home just to pdf a file so I don't have to be extorted. That's the opposite of customer service. read more

Brought in something to ship and the agent gave me a price of $112. Ridiculous. So I asked if they had flat rate shipping. He had never heard of the term "flat rate shipping". He works at FedEx and he doesn't understand flat rate shipping. He told me they don't have it. So I went on ups.com and bought a flat rate shipping label for $30 before I even walked out the door. Later on, I looked up flat rate shipping with FedEx and they do have it. Moron. This is exactly the kind of employee you don't want. read more

Manuel, you are the man! This was my first time using the Vienna FedEx Center but after my five-star experience, it definitely won't be the last time! I had some questions after uploading my files online so I gave the store a ring. Manuel answered, and I was able send my files directly to him and talk about the different options to make it an efficient and affordable print job. Because of their schedule that day, I was told that they would have to push back my order from a 4 pm pick up to 4:30 which unfortunately would not work with my schedule since I had to be in the city earlier that evening. I inquired about rush order prices but Manuel must have sensed my panic because he said, "No worries, I'll make it happen for you!" He called me at 2 pm saying the project was done and I was overjoyed. My project was printed beautifully and even the pick up process was a breeze. Walked in to this location with the intent on using the p.c. to print out a resume. Alex said it can be done with him just as easily if i were to send it to the store email. I opted in! He was knowledgeable and even recommended different types of paper once he found out it was a resume. All employees I noticed, were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing! I dropped off my time-sensitive package on a Sunday at 12pm, just when they opened. My package was pre-labeled and I scanned it in. They did not start the shipping process until Monday at 8pm. That means my package sat there at the facility for over 24 hours. It added an extra day to the shipping, which defeated the whole purpose of dropping it off at the facility on a Sunday. I would've been better off waiting until Monday morning at another location and it would've arrived on time. I will never go to this location again. read more

Closest FedEx to my house. The people are very sweet and helpful. I never had a bad experience. They have computers along side the left wall which is very useful if you need to quickly print any documents. Of course, to use the computers you have to pay using your credit card or the Fed Ex card. Overall great place to get things done. read more

I make the journey over here from Vienna because zi needed to print out a couple of documents in a hurry. When I went in about mid-afternoon, there were barely any other customers inside of the store. The place was calm, clean, and orderly. !I appreciated the fact that the music wasn't overwhelming, and I noticed a few employees behind the counter ready to assist. I didn't need any assistance, as Im pretty capable by now about how to use their service copy machines. I was able to print out my documents without a hithch and it probably took me about 30 seconds max inside of the store. read more

Wow. This place is pretty incredibly awful. The day of the DC James Bond Yelp scavenger hunt, I was planning to print off my clue lists and trivia answer sheets at my office, but discovered that the network was down for the weekend. With little time to spare, I looked up the nearest Kinkos, and this location came up. First, the parking for this plaza off Route 7 is always a zoo. Doesn't matter what time of day or night, apparently. I'm always amazed to see nice cars parked here, because I know if I owned a 6 series, I wouldn't come near this place. At any rate, I only needed to print out four pages, two in black and white, two in color. They were already loaded in my thumb drive, so I figured I could just drop it off with their print shop folks and head out within five minutes. Oh, HECK, was I wrong! - They easily had at least two staffers to each customer, yet it took me ten minutes waiting in line to speak with someone - I was told by a staffer to use the self-service area, and later discovered it's expensive AND their color printer was broken - I went back to the printshop area to request my color copies, which they did (and it took about five minutes for two pages); the guy was nice enough not to charge me because of how outrageously pricey their self-service area was (bonus!)... but unfortunately forgot to return my thumb drive to me (bummer). Sooooooo... about half an hour later, I'm finally on the road on my way to the JB Day meeting location and barely get there in time for the kick-off! And it wasn't until I got to the Metro that I realized I'd left my thumb drive, but it was too late to go back by that point. I did call when I realized, and the lady on the other end of the line let me know that the shop was open 24/7 and I could pick it up whenever. Okay... that's redemptive... So late that evening after an awesome time with scavenger-hunting Yelpers, I made my weary way back to Kinkos to pick up my thumb drive. This time there was one staffer and a half dozen customers. He looked completely harried, exhausted, and frustrated. It took me -another- fifteen or twenty minutes to finally speak with him, but he was nice enough to return my thumb drive to me after I described it. They earn an extra star for saving me $10 on a new stick. Their operations here make absolutely no sense to me, their hardware is apparently not always functional, and it's a nightmare to get assistance from the print shop. So help me, I'd rather stab my finger and write in blood than get copies made here. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Gerald is just a terrible person. Perhaps he's having a bad holiday even though he wasn't one of the unlucky workers who suffered a layoff from COVID. He treated my wife like garbage as she was trying to return a $2,400 product. He made multiple curt and rude remarks to her, everything from how to swipe her credit card to making it difficult for her to take a picture of the packaged product (a very normal request!). Without any explanation he just kept telling her to "Ma'am, swipe the card," even though there is a chip reader. I've been to stores with outdated technology and they usually just say, "the chip reader doesn't work." Instead, Gerald kept raising his voice at my wife with no explanation just saying "SWIPE IT." Then, she couldn't get a clear picture of the package because he wouldn't move it closer, he made her walk around the counter. He rudely asked, "You can't get a clear picture with THAT CAMERA?" (it's an iphone 11, folks). Perhaps Gerald is racist against asian people, I don't know. But he should not be employed. Anywhere. read more

I was asked by my boss to get over 600 pages printed at a printing store and initially went to Staples. I was very disappointed with their customer service, so I left the store in search for another printer store in the area. Luckily, down the street was a FedEx, and I couldn't have been happier about my decision to use their services. A man named Keith greeted me at the printer station and helped me for a full hour to ensure all my documents were printed exactly as my boss wanted them. FedEx, if you read this, please, for the love of God, promote Keith or give him a good raise. I am now a FedEx customer for life because of his customer service. Seriously a rockstar. Ok - Kevin said this place was awful. However, in a year, they've gone completely off of the deep end. I went in here to check the net when I couldn't get on the Panera net. When I was waiting to ask the lady what I could need to do, I actually had to wait five minutes while she was in the middle of a personal cell phone conversation. Never mind the fact that I was staring a hole into her face and just causing her to turn around as she kept talking. All I know is that this experience reminded me of the Dave Chappelle skit of 'Pop Copy': Male employee: Girl what's wrong? I walked in and went to the Print Services area. Within 5 seconds, the lady behind the counter knew exactly what I needed done. But, she curtly told me how expensive it would be and that she didn't have time to do it because they had a lot of work to do. Three stars for the honesty, but minus one star for being unapologetic and unsympathetic. Minus another star for not smiling and for not making any discernible effort to soften the blow. It matters little how good you are at printing/packing/shipping if you compel customers never to return again. read more

On a late Friday afternoon, I walked up to the Full Service Counter, behind two guests who were being semi-helped. An associate approached me and asked me what I needed, and then told me, as he'd apparently told the two guests in front of me, that his "more experienced" staff member would have to help. With just him and this "more experienced" staffer, Marvin (see other reviews) on duty at the time, the line began to swell. I would've been annoyed enough, but was super annoyed because I was clearly in a walking boot and did not need to be on my feet the full 23 minutes it took for Marvin to finish taking phone calls and help the two guests in front of me. Minus 1 star. ... Tempted to deduct a second but I'll be nice. After this, I asked Marvin to use the cutting machine to shave a little off of some invitations, but being that these were originals, I asked him two separate times if he could just do one and bring it back to me to make sure it looked okay to me, and that it also fit in the envelope I had brought. He said sure and I was certain he understood my request. Sure enough, though, he brings back the whole stack already cut. Luckily, they looked fine, but it really irritated me because there was a chance I wouldn't have liked that cut and wanted it to be done differently. Minus 1 star. Once I finally got helped it was only 5 minutes from start to finish. And the price was really great, at $1.69 per cut, which meant one at the top and one at the bottom set on the machine, and not per invite. I've been told that this place has better equipment than the one in Mosiac/Merrifield, so if you've got something you need done right and have a lot of time to spare, this location might be your best bet. read more

I never used FedEx's print center before, walking in to this location the staff were very friendly and helpful, prices are fair and on-site equipment works well. The fax machine is the only thing that doesn't work well, but after mentioning it to one of the employees he took the initiative to refund my $2.18 in a form of a discount on my purchase without me asking which was great! read more

I needed to drop off a package and get a receipt. I thought I knew where it was, but with the mess of Rt 7 construction, let me be specific. This Fedex office is in the Pike 7 shopping center with Staples and TJMaxx. It is at the Panera end, farthest end from TJMaxx. People were pleasant and a gal stepped over from the printing desk to help out at the Fedex desk when several people appeared to drop off at the end of the day. No one bother to come and ask "How can I help You" The employees were eiter talking on their cell phone (not company phone) OR surfing the web... I can't describe how awesome this location is. I have never had a problem and they have become my go to place for printing flyers etc. for work. These guys are on top of it which I appreciate so so much. They call you within a reasonable time if you do an online order that requires special instruction. They are super friendly. The atmosphere there is so laid back but that is not to suggest they are slow. They get my orders ready before I need them. I have never received attitude from the employees. I honestly feel like they are genuinely interested in helping me. I've noticed some new renovations which look great. It's clean and organized. I just can't say enough about them. I came into the FedEx office to print a banner for a client that required a fast turn around. I was greeted by Asher and Asher carefully helped me choose a banner size, while Mac identified a banner that would meet my clients' needs. After we reviewed the options, we decided to go with a retractable banner to display my client's logo. As promised, my banner was ready within 24 hours and the product quality was beyond my expectations. I shipped the product from the store and Mustafa took the time to show me the banner before it was sent off to my client. Mustafa carefully packaged the product and created the shipping label. I noticed the employees worked as a team and that was great to see! I will definitely be back as they've exceeded my customer service expectations. read more
