I really had no idea that this location even existed, as I always had gone to a couple of their other locations off of 14th street. This one is way closer to my work. I needed to make a bunch of copies and have them ready to file in court early Monday morning. They were here and still open late Friday afternoon. The parking was the easiest, and I needed to watch the time as to not get a ticket, and thankfully there was none of that. I walked in and used the self serve copier to print out about 75 docs rom my thumb drive. I put everything into a folder, and off I went. The store was also cool and comfortable inside. The female rep at the counter on 10/17/2022 at around 6pm really went above and beyond in helping me find the tripod/canvas holder i was looking for! They dont have stocks in that location but she made an effort to call another store- faced time just to make sure it's the right item and on stock, and asked them to wait as I find my way to the Fedex office at 3111 14th Street. When I was literally standing there swiping my card after the employee told me he was ringing me up. They have a new manager and she was really slow and did not know what she was doing. I went to the FedEx Center to fax a single page to a local number. I them asked how much it would be for for a single local fax. The person said $1.89. After he did the fax I couldn't believe the charge came to $4.97. Why more than twice as much? They said they are charging for the desk person to assist me. Why didn't he tell me this up front when I asked them? To continue: then when I put in my credit card to pay, it said I had to agree that "I have read and accept all terms and conditions". But I wasn't given any terms and conditions beforehand. It gave a web address for all the terms and conditions - so I went to it. Page after page of legal matters - waiving away arbitration rights and etc. and etc. More than I could read standing there. I told the man that I had to decline to agree - but I wanted to pay - but it wouldn't let me without me saying I had "read and understood" the legal requirements, which I couldn't say I had. I ended up just giving the person five dollars in cash - which the man accepted - but I wasn't able to get a receipt for it - the man said because I couldn't confirm my legal knowledge. Summary: I had to pay more than twice what I was told the fee would be, and then was unable to get a receipt for my cash payment due to all the mind-numbing excessive legalese. All for a simple fax. Was this a good service? I'd been to this location for well over ten years and it wasn't like this in the past. I'd strongly recommend you try to avoid FedEx now. Instead, use one of the simple apps you can download to send a fax at at just a fraction of the fee, (and sometimes even for free). Just avoid the FedEx surprises and complications. read more

This FedEx is located in Adams Morgan. It has a decent amount of foot traffic but the wait isn't too long. The ladies that have helped me have always been professional and very efficient. It looks a little cluttered but other than that I think it's just fine. read more

Great location; near a major intersection in a neighborhood where a lot of people need their services. Not that far from the Metro; there are a couple of metered parking spaces right in front but if those are full or if traffic is building up behind you, parking is not easy in this area. Nice-looking, sunny building if you need to stay and work a bit. All kinds of printing and shipping and computing services at reasonable prices. People working there were helpful and made me feel welcome. I'm usually in and out reasonably fast. Printing tip: it's set to color by default, which costs a lot more. Switch to black and white if that's sufficient. Sadly, I think it's places like this that are putting the post office out of business. Not their fault for providing useful service though. read more

Have been living in Adams Morgan for 12 years, and have often visited and used this FedEx Kinkos store in particular. I was never too impressed by the service, but my experience today was bad enough to warrant a review. It's funny when you encounter insecure clerks who would rather give you any answer instead of honestly admitting their lack of knowledge. What's funnier, of course, is how enraged I got by that meaningless encounter to the point that I decided to review the store. But, hey, this is a matter of justice! Is it not?! :) My wife and I entered the store and printed some tax return documents which we needed to mail. We spent $11 between computer and printer use. The issue we had was related to the actual mailing of the letters. It was early Saturday evening with barely any customers. My wife first approached the clerk and asked him to weigh the letters in order for her to figure out how many stamps she needed. She weighed one letter and the scale showed 0.15 with no measuring unit. She asked him about the unit of measure and he told her that the digit before the decimal point was lbs, while the digits that followed were ounces. Obviously that made no sense. She walked back to where I was standing as I was rocking our baby's stroller and asked me to figure out the weights of the letters. I went up to the scale and weighed one letter (it showed 0.15) and then I weighed my iPhone 6 (it showed 0.35). The clerk started off by asking me about what I was doing. He was clearly already irritated judging by his tone. I'm not sure why, since I was trying to help myself. I tell him that I was trying to figure out the unit of measure. He responds by asking me for the letter's weight. I tell him it was 0.15 and he quickly responds by saying, "then it's ounces." I confront him in a non-combative way by asking him, "how could my iPhone weigh 0.35 oz?" He said, "what?" I repeated myself and he responds by, "probably because it weighs 0.35 oz." He ignores me and returns to helping other customers. As we were walking out of the store I called on him and said that it was wrong of him to mislead his customers. He gave me the thumbs up accompanied by a sarcastic smile and said, "OK that's great, enjoy your day." Well, at least he was jolly. Hopefully he's working at FedEx full-time and is not planning on becoming a mathematics teacher, or, say, the person that weighs your luggage at the airport. read more

I usually have really bad luck at Kinkos, so maybe I've just gotten lucky here. Yes, they are all outrageously overpriced and staff are clearly a bit undertrained (probably a result of how little they are paid). I've had good luck here. There is rarely a line, and I've only had to wait for a computer once, and only for like 5 mnutes (we had sporadic internet problems for a few weeks). The few times I needed to make copies and the machines were problematic (a constant problem at all kinkos), they were able to fix it for me in minutes. All in all, it's a useful neighborhood amenity. Granted, I have plenty of rants about Kinkos/Fedex as a company, but those are more general and not related to this particular store (for example, they don't recycle office paper. Seriously. Kinkos doesn't recycle in DC. That's for a different post somewhere else though). read more

This is the worst Fedex location I've ever been to hands down. I generally avoid this location but came in to pick up a print job and to send a package for work. After unnecessary waiting, a failed POS system, creating my own label that did not print, waiting again, filling out a physical air bill and then waiting while the manager interrupted the cashier to talk about another customer, I was at this location for almost an hour. Avoid if you can. The UPS store in Columbia Heights is MUCH better. read more

There are many FedEx Office & Ship locations within the D.C. Metropolitan area and all of them offer more or less the same services. What store #1748 does not offer is customer service or up to date web browsing software. The combination of these two factors has led to a less than satisfactory visit to this location and as such there will be no further visits to this particular store. Having arrived at this branch in the early morning hours in order to print documents from Google Docs it was frustrating to realize that FedEx Office & Ship does not have the software needed to allow one to simply print from the web and be on their way. When the store manager was politely asked for assistance he was too busy engaging in idle conversation with a non paying and only additional customer to assist in finding an effective way to access the aforementioned documents. Ultimately a semi convoluted workaround was found that produced the desired results with very little to no help from the manager. The Consumer General does not recommend this location to individuals who are not locals to the neighborhood, familiar with the store's manager, or who do not meet whatever mystery criteria is required for assistance. Resourceful, tech savvy, and self reliant individuals should however encounter few frustrations, but their time and money would best be spent elsewhere. read more

This fed ex location charges more than any other I've been to in DC for next day delivery and cannot explain the price difference. The customer service is also downright rude most of the time, especially from one cashier in particular. Even after paying for overnight shipping, they kept one package for several days and I had to call to inquire about it only to be told it was sitting on their shelf. UPS is so much better. read more

This place is very convenient and unlike most kinkos there is rarely a line. When there is a line it is short. The staff isn't very quick in their pace,but everything else is more than adequate. I find most people who go to kinko's have had too many cups of coffee and need to take it down a notch anyways, so the relaxed pace doesn't fit well in D.C., but I don't mind it. The only negative is the staff's seemingly slow movement. It is well stocked,clean, the machines have always worked fine, and the computers have worked fine for me too. Because I'm tired of this case and waiting for them to resolve it, I'll be brief. Dropped my TV off and insured it for full value. The TV was brand new and packaged by myself (I have been packing and shipping professionally for 5+ years). It was in perfect condition and arrived as such (http://imgur.com/a/L7FG4). I cannot be any more upset with this service. It was shipped through a corporate account and I filed a claim. The claim was denied. Reason? The agent at the counter claimed the box was damaged ahead of time. The box was brand new with 4 1" high density foam corners. I have a receipt for the purchase date of this box. Two other boxes were damaged, one to the point of being tattered and fixed by someone along the line with packing tape. To comment on the rest of the store? They didn't greet me. Not a single hello either of the two days I came in, no friendliness or assistance carrying in over 15 large boxes to move my entire life across the country. This wasn't service at all. I try to be patient since I have worked in customer service my whole life, but I wholly believe you get what you give. I was incredibly patient and friendly and to no avail, I was still burnt. Pick another location, these people aren't trustworthy with expensive/insured packages. EDIT: Improved rating because the manager was so good in this process. All of the reviews thus far are off topic. They're reviewing FedEx Kinko's when the subject is actually FedEx courier and delivery services. FedEx delivery sucks ass. So far I've been waiting 20 days for a delivery that was supposed to take 5-7 days. While tracking my package, I've noticed that they've changed the estimated delivery time multiple times with no explanation. I showed up at 4:45pm and, despite their office listed as being open until 6:00pm (both online and on the door), the place was completely dark.
