My. Son and I took 20 boxes to be mailed from FedEx on a busy Saturday . There was only one employee. She did a remarkable job helping multiple people at the same time. She never lost her cool and was consistently friendly, efficient and professional. I have no idea why only one person would be working there on a busy Saturday. I had a good experience here yesterday when I came to make a copy of my 85 page will and trust. I also scanned a digital pdf copy into my thumb drive because I travel a lot internationally, and you never know when or where these documents would be needed. Plus the fact ghat since I'm often gone for months at a time, anything could happen to the coppied document that I leave in my house. A nice and experienced employee gave me instructions on how to d everything myself using their self-serve copier machine. I was there for about twenty minutes, and that was because I came in the middle of the day when most people were out doing fun things. I have come to a couple of their other locations in the past for less complicated print jobs, but I'm glad that there was someone here who was experienced to help me. read more

The worst customer service that exists in DC. The employees are super rude and not helpful. I called before going there and they hanged up in the middle of the conversation while I was giving the tracking number, when I went in there they neither apologized and they also gave me false information about my package because they didn't check at all. They were super rude. When I left the store I received an email from the company that shipped the order to let me know that the package was still in the store after investigation with Fedex and they sent me away without checking at all !!! The manager is the worst in customer service! Even worse that the employees... Never seen such a thing!!! I came in on Wednesday as was helped my 2 Woman & A Man. Extremely helpful and understanding that I knew nothing about shipping my recently sold items on Ebay. Well, My package arrived in Chino,Ca Today and my buyer was blown away by the amount of packaging that kept these Chinnesse artifacts safe during the long journey. This is the single worst experience I have ever had at any FedEx in my life and I use Fedex often. The woman who told me her name was "Precious" (not sure if that's her real name--has purple nail polish if that helps management) sassed me so horribly for absolutely no reason. I simply asked what the box size choices were and received the rudest treatment, saying, "You don't know anything about the product." And when I asked if a roll was packing paper, she said, "Can't you read the package?!" Then proceeded to tell me she was not familiar with the products at FedEx. I'm helping my child move and only went in for boxes. She should be FIRED immediately. How does someone like this maintain a job?! Shame on you FEDEX. You need to do better. I don't frequent the store-formerly-known-as-Kinko's, but in theory, FedEx Office should offer a variety of quick business services with good customer service. This location flat out fails with an I-could-give-a-damn service attitude. I had stopped at a FedEx office location that morning for a passport photo, but it was the wrong size - which to be fair, wasn't 100% their fault as different countries have different requirements (though you'd think in DC they'd maybe know this...) The Observatory FedEx Office is close to the embassies, so I walked there to get the passport photo retaken in a slightly larger size. It was already busy when I walked in when one of the two employees shuffled slowly out the door as the line was getting longer - maybe on a lunch break? The other employee first told me that "we only take one passport photo size." I tried to show her the embassy instructions and explain that another FedEx Office had gotten it wrong, but she seemed completely uninterested in helping me or anyone else in the store. I had to persuade her to at least take a step closer to take the photo so the face measurements would be correct. The first time, she cut off the top of my head then glared at me like it was my fault, then retook it. So much for customer service at this location. Buy your own printer and copier. It's less trouble than coming here. read more

I have never had an amazing experience here. Employees are generally rude, unhelpful, and slow, but it is within walking distance of my house and serves its purpose. Today, after walking the .5 mile distance to the store, I find it locked with the lights on. It was within business hours so I was confused until I saw the hand-written note saying the employee would be back in 10 minutes. I called FedEx customer service to find out what was going on and they called the store a few times but informed me that no one was answering (shocking!) Twelve minutes later, Unisa comes and unlocks the door and asks if I have been the one calling. I say that it has been FedEx since I called to complain about standing outside in the cold for over ten minutes and he starts screaming at me about how he is the only one there and he put up a sign so he is allowed to close the store if he wants to take a break. I say whatever because I am over being screamed at, print my labels, and leave to go drop my boxes off with a competitor, which is what I will be doing in the future. I guess go here if you absolutely need to, but you might want to see if Unisa feels like working first, unless you want your twenty minute errand to turn into a two hour one. read more

Spent way too long trying to get what I needed and ended up paying for something I threw away when I got home and went to the Kinkos on M Street instead the following day. in-person experience: I've used the computers and printed. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait during the day as it seems some clients can take a while and they don't have more than one or two people on hand at least as of several months ago the few times I went in last year. Ordering prints via email: I have been able, once a year, to email them my business card file and I get a response within a couple hours that they are ready to be printed (250 cards). The corporate website takes a lot more time to go through to place that order when compared to simply emailing them the attachment with my request. The results are always top-notch as well. read more

I came in at the last minute and had to print 6 heavy packets of several hundred documents. Teairra was well versed in everything from paper to printing. She even suggested a more efficient way to print my packages. I live down the street (within walking distance) and usually come here to print color documents. I agree with some of the extremely poor ratings and experienced poor customer service on several occasions. However, Teairra was a breath of fresh air. Extremely customer-focused, knowledgeable, patient, and just plain nice. From this point on, I will look for Teairra and if she's not there, I'll probably walk out. I've had so many awful experiences that I will now look for the one who went the extra mile to make my experience a special one. I pay $35 for FedEx delivery. The clerk types in the wrong address after I handed her the letter. It goes to the wrong address. Their solution? Have me pay them to have it delivered to the right address. read more

I can walk to this store and to the one in Georgetown from my Apartment. I needed a new black ink "thing" for my printer so I brought the color ones with me so I know which number to get. Unisa J says to me in a kind of rude way that is the color one. I said I know I need the black one. He should take a class in communicating with people. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE - STAY AWAY: The lady who answered the phone today, was rude and should be fired immediately. Her customer service skills were horrible and I will never do business there ever again because who ever hired her must be just as clueless. I called today to print out tickets for a game which was starting in 3 hours, the lady said she had 30 projects ahead of me and she would not be able to help and me and that my tickets might be ready by tomorrow. I replied, "All I want to do is come in, print two tickets, pay you and leave, is this possible? She replied, "NO" After reading the other reviews, they are all true. The employee I spoke with not only deterred me from my neighborhood store but has put a negative connotation on the FedEx brand. Terrible experience: We order a package to arrive to the store on Saturday and it didn't arrive neither on Friday (as promised and paid), but on Saturday at 4:00pm it still WAS NOT on the store! In addition, the costumer service was rude and straight up useless, saying they couldn't help me to track my package and just gave a phone number to call costumer service... I received and witnessed great service here on December 23. Michael had the shop open promptly at 8am. I was there for 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon working on a complex printing, copying, and shipping project and heard him deal effectively and politely with a broad range of customers' needs. read more
