Very toxic and uncomfortable experience today, "Morrison" the manager, was completely rude, unprofessional and bullied her associate right in front of me. When I arrived she was already screaming at a customer, the negative/loud energy from that encounter was definitely directed towards me immediately. After checking my ID and grabbing my package from the back, she asked for another form of id and two sets of bills. She wouldn't explain why what I had wasn't good enough and cut me off every chance she could. "Morrison" even told me that the initial driver handling the package deemed my address as faulty, so no attempt to deliver tag was left behind. All she said was that the driver might have went on vacation during my route.....HUH??WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ME?? She refused to answer any question I had for her after and cut me off and disappeared to the back because she didn't want to help anymore. I stood there for 5 minutes waiting for her to come back and no one came back until I acted like I was leaving and then came back in (clearly she was watching me on camera and waited for me to leave). Immediately, another worker came out and asked to help. Out of nowhere "Morrison" starts yelling to the clerk helping me what they want for lunch (RUDE). Then came out and started writing her name and number to call to complain. She stood over the sweet associate trying to hear me out and glared at her saying extremely passive things to cut the interaction. I am a current driver for fedex. I will try to help some people understand why some drivers do what they do. If you live in a small 2 family house with a basement, I'm going to scan your package and deliver to your basement steps (hidden location) without climbing the stoop to ring your bell. Saves us time and energy. If your small house has no basement, side door, back porch, etc, I will ring all bells and there's a 50/50 chance I'll leave it right on the stoop where anyone can see it or I'll leave a notice. This depends highly on the neighborhood I'm delivering too. Ghetto neighborhoods automatically get a notice from me if no answer. If you live in an apartment building, I'm going to ring all bells including your's to gain access. I will not deliver to your door even if there's an elevator unless it requires signature, special instructions are shown on scanner or if the package is heavy. Will only deliver to the mailbox area if it's a safe building( surveillance cameras). Again, this saves us time and energy. Unfortunately, there is not enough time in the day to deliver to everyone's Apt door. We would never finish the route. It is also completely unacceptable how some drivers will fake attempt deliveries to shorten their day. However, Starting now, those fake attempts will require signatures the very next day so this should help with preventing these drivers from doing that. read more

I've experienced the good & the bad with FedEx. This is not an in-person review of the facility but of the workers here DOING the deliveries to my home. The good: they've rung my doorbell to deliver things. Last time I ordered something shipped through them, I had an awesome experience with signing the door tag & having my items left in a place so secure I had to hunt to find them. That helped us discover a new package drop off spot. The bad & horrendous: when we ordered a computer chair, the delivery guy didn't bother helping me get the item up the stairs or have any chivalrous instincts kick in. Then, we have this latest package fiasco. I order something online & the shipper uses FedEx. They leave a door tag for the first attempt. We are under the impression that it's under my husband's name & he signs for it. Now, he's my HUSBAND! Surely he could be authorized to sign something for his own wife, right? I come home yesterday to see a second door tag & a note saying "signature not clear." Well, first off that's my husband's legal signature. Anything else would be forgery. Second, under the law, it doesn't matter WHAT you put as your signature. The only thing that matters is your intent to sign. If that intent is there, you can use an X or write Mickey Mouse & the signature is 100% valid (meaning FedEx would win in court if you tried to make them liable for leaving your package). I called up their customer service line, observing that today no final attempt was made. One rep I talked to was totally insincere despite saying over & over, without fail "I am so sorry for your inconvenience." She informs me that no more attempts will be made & I have to go to this facility by Tuesday or my package will be returned. I state that I can't really get to the facility since it's in the middle of nowhere & I live in an area of Queens that has alternate side parking as well as major competition for parking spaces. Not to mention the fact that I'm doing a full time temp gig during the week & have important things to do tomorrow. After getting disconnected while she claimed to be calling the warehouse (to get this woman to even bother doing ANYTHING about this "note" on the file, I had to go off on her & even used her words back at her to ask what can be done about it, why are they cheating me from this last delivery attempt, etc.), I called back good & mad. The rep I spoke to the second time did seem to care more & actually helped me. I didn't have to ask him to call the warehouse to fix this. He made the effort on this own & apologized for the screwiness of this place. I then got a call from someone at the facility, who told me that the courier apparently gets to decide if my package will be left tomorrow regardless of my signed door tag (this time with my signature in the blank). If they need an in-person signature for my package, why leave the door tags in the first place?!?!?! How do these people get to still have jobs in this economy? Incompetents should be gotten rid of considering there are thousands if not millions of unemployed people in NYC who'd do a much better job for half the pay. Based on this & other reviews, maybe we should ALL start working for this FedEx facility since it seems you get to be a lazy lump, totally screw up then STILL collect a paycheck while everyone else is laid off. If I could make any company disappear, it would be FedEx. I hate whenever I get packages from them because that's when you know you're about to go through hell. Of all the shipping services that I've received packages from, this is the one (right above the post office) I dread on ever get something from. It's always either a "We Missed You" delivery notice, when most of the time, someone's at home and my doorbell never rings. Either the USPS and UPS have magical hands, or FedEx is just lazy and need visitors at this dead location in the middle of nowhere. Coming here is the only time I'd ever have to desperately beg my father to drive me because I can't--and refuse--to come here via bus (are there even buses that around here?!). The first thing you need to know about dealing with FedEx is that what they tell you at the call center and what you'll hear at this location are completely different, the latter spewing b.s. Prepare for lots of unfriendliness and unhelpful service; these people will not go the extra mile to help you and don't care that you drove all the way or had some kind of inconvenience getting there. They will not spare you any kindness or remorse and the people are the typical retail employees who hate their job, that cannot wait to run off 10 minutes before their shift end. After several weeks of trying to resolve an on going delivery issue, dozens of calls that go unanswered and a customer service department that doesn't seem to know what to do, I am at my wits end with this FedEx hub. No one wants to help, Facility Managers don't return calls and no one seems to have a clear answer on how to bypass or remedy a delivery issue. Without receiving ANY door tags! Very frustrating. THREE failed attempts to deliver. I swear they don't even get out of their delivery truck. Pick up: thankfully I was able to pick it up at the ship center with no problem. Employees are helpful yet monotone as fuck. Just provided the tracking number and an ID. However had to truck my ass through 2 subways and 2 uber rides to make it to the ship center in the middle of the Serbian desert. ((BEWARE: you have to pick up before they send back to sender! Find parking on the street if possible, parking lot has only about 5 spots. When you head upstairs, almost certain you will see about 6 people in line and only 1 person operating the register. The person behind the counter is probably in a bad mood, but I went at 9am and they were already in a bad mood... lady you just opened! What made me angry was that for the past month we were fighting with Fed Ex on a package that supposedly got delivered to us, but we never got it. So we had to fight for them to cover the package from the sender. We reordered it and Fed Ex again was the carrier. This was under my wifes name but we live together. I went on my day off and tried to pick up the item, and they said that I missed the package and its out for delivery, And that I cant pick it up anyway even if my ID says the same addess. So I left the store empty handed. My wife calls Fed Ex at 10 am and they tell her that the package is not out for delivery and that I am able to pick it up if I want. When you have work sent for an important campaign, it is absolutely unacceptable that FedEx wouldn't even come to the door to knock or put up a door tag when you've been waiting in front of the door for three hours only to check on your cell phone that during that time you were in front of your door they decided to record that it was attempted. A FedEx driver coming out of this location stole a $500 package - never delivered it, despite dropping off another box that was part of the same delivery and then marking both as "delivered." When we reported the package missing, he came to our door, tried to trick us into a signing a paper that voided our missing package claim, and made threatening gestures when we refused. We reported this alarming behavior in phone calls and emails to FedEx, citing not just the loss of the item (which the retailer had to eat the cost of, not FedEx, who didn't reimburse us for shit), but also the potentially violent behavior of a FedEx employee/contractor who knows your address and your purchases and can do whatever they want with zero oversight and zero repercussions. FedEx sent us an email in response with the usual bullshit platitudes about how safety matters to them, then stopped responding entirely. We try to have any FedEx packages held for pickup in Astoria as much as possible now. The FedEx driver in question was never reprimanded for literally stealing packages, trying to cover it up, and behaving aggressively, and I believe he even still has our route. Driver claimed to try and deliver package but never actually showed up to my apartment and didn't leave door tag. (I would know, I answered the door for Grubhub just fine ).. I called this location multiple times and had alerts sent to the driver but after "3 attempts" (not real attempts but who's counting) they couldn't send it to my apartment so I will have to pick it up at a drop off location. If I could give this place minus a zillion stars I would. EVERY TIME anyone sends me anything via Fed Ex they never deliver. The driver never rings the bell, then lies and claims no one was home. He also never leaves door tags, so I don't even know if he is actually came to the building or not. I only find out that something was not delivered when the sender contacts me. This has got to be the WORST FedEx shipping center in the world. I've been at the delivery mercy of the incredibly unprofessional people who are employed here for the past six years because of my geographical location. Whenever I get anything shipped I try to avoid FedEx like the plague. But in the occasions in which my shipper doesn't give me a choice, I have to brace myself for the following. For years I would stay home waiting for packages that never arrived, only to find a door tag at the building's front door. "But how?!" I would cry. "I've been home all day, waiting patiently and have not heard a single buzz, doorbell ring or knock at my door!!!" And so the delivery dance begins. The location is difficult to reach by public transportation. The only way to get there would be by car (this is NYC, cars are not really a thing for everyone) or a bus that takes 45 mins to get there. While in line at the center, other customers have the same complaint: drivers are not really announcing themselves at delivery locations and just leaving tags because they can't be bothered to actually do their jobs. The person behind the counter couldn't care less. And here's where it gets interesting. In my last interaction with this vortex from the seventh circle of delivery hell, the driver didn't buzz, ring, knock OR EVEN LEAVE A DOOR TAG!!! I only found out my "delivery attempt" failed because the application said so while i was sitting in my living room, waiting for the driver to arrive! I go outside because i see another driver and ask him if he has my package, but he says he doesn't have anything for my address. I tell him about the situation and he responds: "I've been at this job two weeks and already seen some shady shit". When I called the help center, the customer service rep assured me he was going to contact the driver to get them to come back on the same day and said they would do so between 11a and 3p ( I called at 10:39a). He took my number and told me the driver would call me before coming so we would be ready. Needless to say, no call, no delivery attempt. I call again, and the next rep says that the delivery would be attempted again next day. I gotta work, but my wife agrees to stay home and wait for it. But that same night my app says I have to go get the package at this facility. I call again and the third rep says that its too late to contact the facility but that he'll send a note on the system and that we'll get it in the morning. Again, no buzz, ring, knock or even door tag, and my app says that the package is back at the facility. All the while, my wife has been home all day. I call back, get escalated to a "consumer advocate" who says she'll call me back to follow up on my complaint but never does. While at work, we get a FedEx delivery and I chat with the driver, tell him my story. He says: "I know what you're saying. Some of my coworkers are super lazy and I can corroborate your suspicion. People don't knock or ring because they don't wanna bother." !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I call again, get told that the system is down (something that apparently happens to them 74% of the times I have a problem with my delivery) but to rest assured that the next day I would get the delivery. I wake up today, no buzz, no ring, no knock or even a tag on the door. The app says it's still at the facility. I call again and after being put on hold, get told that the system is down and they can't track the package or contact the facility. I hang up, immediately call again, get a different rep and decide to not give them my tracking number. The rep says that they had some trouble with the platform, but after asking some other questions and chatting her up, the system miraculously works and she tracks the package. It's still at the facility. It wasn't put out for delivery. I guess no third attempts for me. She took my number (it's now the fifth time) and says the package will somehow be delivered today and the facility will contact me before they send it out. I'm still here, waiting. Third day of this BS. These people hold me hostage in my own home, waiting in terror of missing the delivery person for days thinking I might be going crazy because I almost never hear the buzz, ring or knock. But now I know, they don't practice their own terms of service. One pays for door to door service but, because of the most unprofessional work ethic I've ever experienced, most people in my area have to go to BFE to get their stuff in the middle of an industrial area far from working transit services. read more

You can sit home all day waiting for a package and then see later that someone left a tag and never bothered to ring the bell. On other days they'll come, not leave a tag, and only leave a "final notice" tag when it's too late. Today I found out (via FedEx email) that a company accidentally sent me the wrong ~200 lb box. Be very careful because this dispatch center hires criminals who steal packages and do their best to ensure non-delivery in order to have their co-horts then steal your packages. They have been running this scam since last year. Be very careful to avoid Federal Express at all costs, as reporting the issue to Federal Express customer service garners no assistance. Additionally, Federal Express claims to not have a corporate office and theft of packages must be handled through their legal department which they claims is unable to assist with theft issues unless you retain legal advisement. If you value your items, avoid Federal Express. Just read the reviews, it's shocking that they have not been investigated by law enforcement already. read more

I called that same day and they said they would have the driver attempt the delivery again (if they ever did in the first place LOL) so I waited and waited. They didn't show up and instead I get a notification that the package went back here just before 12AM the next day. So I had no choice but to wait until Monday despite me needing this package ASAP. I got a notification in the morning that it was delivered, so as soon as I checked. My package was not there! Uhm... ok? So I called this location because this location has been dealing with my package. They said that they would investigate and give me a call. I waited for it, and nothing. I called again today to check on the status. And this girl on the phone keeps laughing like WHAT IS SO FUNNY CAUSE I'M NOT LAUGHING. She says she needs to figure out what that status means and puts me on hold TWICE. And basically says she cannot do anything about it but she puts an alert on the package because that is all she could do. So out of frustration I just hang up because ONE she was no help and TWO she keeps laughing for no reason! I have another package delivering through FEDEX and I am terrified at what would happen to my package! Trying to steal another one of my packages? Cause this isn't the first time! I would give this depot 0 stars if I could. Need anything delivered? Better pray it's not by the FedEx Maspeth location. They constantly claim they attempted delivery while you're physically home (legit, I just got a notification that they attempted delivery and I wasn't home while I was SITTING ON MY STOOP) and never gotten a knock on the door, a doorbell ring, anything. Here is a list of things I never received because of this FedEx location: new cell phones, laptops, replacement debit cards, Christmas presents, medication, important legal documents, and more! I've had to find alternate means of getting these things because FedEx can't do the one job they have. The best part is when you call FedEx customer service and they have to get back on the line with you to tell you that no one is answering at Maspeth or (my new favorite, heard this today) that it "took them a while to pick up because they were all out at lunch." Worst FedEx customer service ever, this is not my first time here but the first thing that came out of the mouth of the red hair lady, who seem to be bossing around two other staff on the floor was "Are you here for animals?" Excuse me I said? What are you trying to say? "It's a legitimate question" her rude self said, as I'm confused as to how you even start off with a question like that..obviously profiling was in play and it's sad because you can feel her wack energy, she's been at this company for far too long and think her position matters, I don't have time for her, so I left it alone but people should know, it's worth waiting for the package than coming into this miserable work place where waiting for packages on line at the post office is faster than their slow pace rude ass crew that lets this happen to customers who pay for their service to be treated like shit. read more
