Express Haulers Moving company helped us with our local move this past week. I was very impressed! I probably sent about 6 requests for quote out to different companies and Lynn at Express Haulers was the first to call me within a minute of sending the request, and the only one persistently following up with me. I told every company that we have a small move as we had been moving things little by little by ourselves, only Lynn provided me with the lowest minimum hours and competitive pricing. When I said I would get back to her, I appreciated her persistence in following up. They estimated 2.5 hours of work and Carlos and his team did a great job efficiently moving things, only took 30 more minutes than they estimated. They also didn't have any hidden charge for wrapping material for couch etc. My husband at the receiving address said they were very careful with our newly renovated home, the floor, the wall etc as they moved and assembled furniture. After the move, the owner Diego himself reached out to check in and asked for feedback. As somebody running a business myself and working with business owners, I really appreciate how they run their business, the efficiency, the flexibility and the care. My entire experience with this company was exceptional! From booking with Angela, who was incredibly sweet and helpful, to the actual move with Jr, Juan, and George, who were the hardest workers I have every had the pleasure of observing, I have nothing but praise and gratitude for all of them! They worked no-stop, carrying heavy furniture down then up stairs, taking wonderful care of my fragile items, and never complained once (at least that I could hear. lol) Their estimated time-frame was accurate literally right down to the minute. The icing on the metaphorical cake is how affordable they are! For the quality of service that I received, I should've been paying double what I actually paid. Professional, fast, and transparent pricing! Eddie and Carlos were my movers and they were great! Fast and careful with all of my biggest items. Great phone experience as well. You won't get transferred to third parties doing your move or answering questions. Text follow ups were also done to keep communication open and I could still call in if needed. Lynn C helped me get initially set up with easy online signing and easy to read contracts - and you have the option to pay with a card or apple pay. The cost at the end was $300 more but explained on a call and was happy for a careful moving experience. This was our first time using a moving company and have heard some horror stories about broken furniture/belongings so we were a bit nervous and did a LOT of research before choosing Express Haulers. Lynn did an amazing job coordinating the moving details and Diego, Matin, and Alexis did a fantastic job physically moving our items from our old apartment (with an elevator) to our new apartment (no elevator). Overall the move went well. The reason for the low score is the price went from $900 to $1200 and after completion the price was $1500. *OF IMPORTANCE* This company hires day workers. They hire freelancers, and the guys rent their own truck....penske/hertz. This is not a company with their own trucks. When you book a mover, simple questions like "how many rooms, what is inside" does not make for clear info for a quote. I moved within the same town...the houses were 15 minutes from each other. the movers disappeared for 45 minutes between houses. They can eat. i hope i wasn't billed for that. They came with a 26' truck. Everything fit. but somehow things took longer than expected. For the quote, i told them everything i had including 60-70 boxes...which was true. But i was billed more than the quote. The guys did a good job. The guys were professional. But truth is truth. Cost 20% more than quoted AND they wanted a tip (which i gave because it went to the guys..not the company). I don't want to do that job....but business is business. you can't low-ball customers. read more

My partner and I were combining households which is never an easy feat. I came to hear about Express Haulers from a general inquiry on yelp. Their prices were significantly ($500-700) cheaper than every other business that responded and offered a flat rate with their quote. The team was prompt, efficient and extremely careful with our furniture. Everything was wrapped meticulously. They tried their best to avoid any damage to our walls and staircase which moving into an old house with a narrow and short stairwell was tricky, but they worked carefully and didn't rush. They listened to our considerations on where we wanted our things and moved a few when we changed our minds. The quote actually ended up being slightly higher than what we paid which was a wonderful surprise given the prices were already fantastic. I was super paranoid about using a random moving company i found online. This company put all those worries to rest. They were quick, kept in touch constantly so I knew what was happening, strong, careful and DID NOT make up bogus charges. They moved me from The Bronx to a house in NJ. Was moving about 13 miles away from a 1br in a building into a 2br in a house and knew I needed to have movers to move the furniture although I wanted to move all the small things myself. I looked into about 20 different companies and the cost was absolutely insane for what I needed where it was making sense to just rent a truck and hire helpers. Then I found express haulers!! They were SO quick to respond and their asking price/quote was 100% fair/normal/not taking advantage of!
