I was waiting on a Christmas gift to arrive. apparently there was some *mix up* with my address that needed clarification. on 12/8 received a voicemail requesting me to call back. Within 10 minutes called back and the phone rang and rang. Double checked the number and called again, and again. on 12/19 received a notice in my mailbox requesting information....no number or email to contact so I again tried calling the original number again, and again, and again. NO ANSWER. Guess what....My package is being shipped back to its origin because the time for me to pick it up (was never told I needed to pick it up, was never told ANYTHING for that matter) has expired. I STILL CAN'T REACH ANYONE. I get it, Christmas is insane for deliveries this year, I've been patient even though I've not received a single order yet...its all good...but this....this is completely unacceptable. you give a "10 day window" to pick up a package, but give ZERO info about WHERE the package is...then you RETURN IT??????? After receiving some very bad directions on an internet site, I finally arrived at the Newburgh FedEx location. Not sure where the correct customer service office, I asked at least 2 for information. Everyone I encountered was helpful. Most especially, those at the ground customer service area. I did not have the tracking number and the employee looked it up for me. It did not take long for the package to be located and the employee who presented it to me was friendly and gave my granddaughter Christmas candy. You certainly need GPS to find this location. read more

"FIRST OF ALL" , This was first visit ever to this FEDEX Shipping Center at about 2:00PM on Friday afternoon 08-12-16! My IPhone 6s Google Maps navigation found the site with clear and precise directions through my Ford Sync NAV System even better than the Ford NAV System itself!!! THAT BEING SAID, I pulled up to a completely empty parking area and walked inside the very modern quiet facility which was empty. A pleasant woman came out from the back area (about 1 minute) she told me to place my one small package with it's downloaded and printed out prepaid (RMA) shipping label I had already attached to the package. She tapped some buttons on the computer, gave me a receipt and said you're all done have a nice day. After some pleasant chit chat about the brutal heatvwave we were having that day and the rest of the week, their AC System not working, and how after three (3) tries and 3 days of me trying unsuccessfully to arrange for a "Pick-Up" of said package with 3 different FedEx Reps who spoke with 3 different accents and which is why I was forced to make the 60 mile round trip to the FedEx Center) in the first place (or should I say, 4th place)!!! Anyway for my first experience to this facility, I found it to be a simple and pleasant experience (except for the long drive and $12+ gas expense! Mustang GT (yeah tell me about it) with the MPG's!! I had take off one star because, I factored a few things into the review. #1 The overall FedEx Customer Support Phone Experience was horrific and unsuccessful! #2 The huge (I mean huge) fat lady who parked her car right beside my car (and close as heck) with "A completely empty parking lot (maybe a 100 car lot)" and nearly banged my door while trying to squeeze that hunk of massive flesh out of her half opened door, and it wasn't even a close up spot by the entrance either. Un-frigging believable! No matter where I go, no matter how empty the lot, some idiot will park right next to my car which is all alone and not bothering anybody. I will never understand this phenomenon in my lifetime, except that they should never have been born in the first place to aggravate my life. Oh, Sorry! I went off on one of my tangents again, didn't I ? Well I done! BTW, I didn't just drop the package off in a local "DROP BOX", because if three FedEx Customer Care Agents could not verify my shipping label (that was the original problem) on the phone for a simple pick up, there was no way I was going to just drop that expensive package into a street corner Drop Box and now worry if it was off to the "Twilight Zone" or some delivery driver's house! This place does not even deserve one star. My Fedex package was delivered overnight on the 19th to this facility. On the 20th the package never arrived. After being on hold with Fedex for over 1/2 an hour on Friday night and with no package, I hung up and waited until Saturday. Saturday came and went, and as I was looking on the tracking information, my package was actually in the facility on Friday morning but was never delivered to my house. It was then on another truck on Saturday but never got delivered. Their explanation: bad weather on Friday which was a bunch of BS since the weather was fine and I had 2 UPS deliveries that day and somehow my children's bus was able to get to and from school. . Saturday?? They had no explanation as to why it was not deleivered. None! They then told me that I could pick up my package Sunday betweeen 10 and 3. I drove down to the facilty at 1:30 and waited a half an hour for my package. They came back and told me that I could not get it because it was already loaded on the truck for Monday morning delivery. So I wasted all this time going down there after they TOLD ME that my package was there, and it was not available much to my surprise. OK, so now Monday arrives. Do you think my package showed up at my house?? Yeah, right! I called Fedex again(55 minutes) and was eventually connected to the facility. Guess what? My package was still at the facility and was never delivered due to an overload of packages! I still don't have my package. Seriously dealing with a totally inept service facility. I will never use Fedex if I do not have to. read more

AWFUL. I managed to get a hold of this location trying to fix an issue that FedEx caused. We shipped 2 packages to a customer in this area and the customer only received one even though both tracking numbers show delivered. Come to find out they delivered the other package to a wrong address. Trying to make the customer happy, I called and spoke to a Lori at this location. Lori did not let me finish one sentence before rudely interrupting me. Typically when a company messes up a service they try to fix it which is what i was hoping Lori could do. When I asked Lori for an employee identification number she wouldn't give it to me. My company spends millions of dollars a year with FedEx and I would expect to get better customer service than this. I am going to continue to research to figure out a way to formally complain about Lori. read more

I was expecting a package today but it says that my package won't be delivered because it has the wrong address/street name which I'm 100% positive I have the CORRECT one. I've never had a problem receiving package before from any other carrier until FedEx. I've spoken to two customer service and they were very unpleasant, like they're being bothered for doing their job. If I have a choice I will never again use this company. read more

We were supposed to receive very important papers via Fed Ex. The guy did not even knock at the door. I went outside to see if anyone was there, and there was a post on my door saying they missed me. I was sitting on the couch waiting literally 15 feet from the door watching tv. Had he knocked, I most certainly would have heard. My mother called the company four different times, and we never received the package. It is a time sensitive thing. So needless to say, we are not thrilled right now. We were supposed to get a 2 box delivery from FedEx... our driver dropped one, and when my husband asked about the second box we were told that was all he had....even though the box said (2of2) and the tracking information said both boxes were on the truck for delivery.... Called FedEx, they said they would look into it (i'm sure they didn't). Sorry not our problem is the gist of what I got. Call the shipper. The shipper said FedEx told them they delivered BOTH boxes, and claimed we received NONE!!! And in order to get our items redelivered, we would now need a police report. Are you kidding me?! Thankfully, we didn't have to go through all that. I sent a copy of our FedEx tracking page to prove they (FedEx) were full of it, and our package stopped tracking on their truck and was forever in transit now. It has been over a month fighting with these idiots. And I cringe to think my replacement package will have to travel through them again. I sincerely hope all FedEx locations aren't as lazy and unhelpful as mine. read more

This has to be the worst customer service I have ever They made 2 attempts to deliver the package at the same time of day didnt try after or before normal working hours and then as far as a phone call to the Newburgh Terminal it took 25 minutes after speaking to fedex people all over the world and even then they didnt hold the package or try and deliver it in the am as promised.. For the second time, FedEx claimed that they attempted delivery of a package but that I was not home to receive it. Both times, I was waiting at home the entire time and never left the apartment. The driver did not ring the doorbell nor leave a delivery attempt message and I did not find out that there was even a delivery attempt until I checked the tracking website and saw that they supposedly tried to make a delivery. I believe that this was a complete fabrication on the part of the driver who made no attempt whatsoever to deliver my package even though I was home the entire time. Calls to complain have been futile and only after repeat calls to the toll free number was I able to finally talk to someone at the local terminal to lodge a complaint. In the meantime, I still don't have my package and I can't waste another day waiting around for a delivery that the driver apparently lies about. read more

I wish that you could give no stars at all. If I have the choice in shipping I will never use Fedex again. From now on I will only use UPS and USPS. My package was sent on Monday and now it is Friday and it is still not here. The expected delivery date on the package was Wednesday and there was a weather delay so it was not deliverable. This was understandable as we did have very bad weather. Yesterday I spent most of the day reviewing my tracking information and at 6pm the package's estimated delivery date changed from Thursday to N/A. At this point I decided to place a call to Fedex. If I was told by Fedex what I had expected to hear, which was that since it is the holiday season there is too much volume on the trucks. However what I was told was the package was not delivered because of weather in my area. I found this irritating and amusing due to the fact that the weather here was 45 degrees and the snow was melting. I also live on a State route. There were no school cancellations or delays. And mind you UPS was able to deliver without any problem. I should also make you aware that on Monday the weather was horrible in my area and both Fedex express and Fedex Ground were able to make there deliveries. Fed ex called me yesterday at 2:30 pm to verify my shipping address. I returned the call at 4:20pm. However, the package had already been returned to the shipper. WHAT?!?!?!?! I spent over an hour on the phone (mostly on hold) and heard all sorts of excuses: They dont deliver to apartments (I dont live in an apartment), the driver asked for me at the address and they said "no one by that name lives here" (impossible as no one was home), the driver decided to ship it back, my address is incorrect, blah blah blah. Then, at 10:46pm last night, Fed ex calls me back and leaves a message for me to call "Kim" with domestic freight "to try to sort this out". I call back today, and they tell me she just wanted to tell me the package was returned to shipper. REALLY??!?!? No one could explain why within less than two hours the package was returned to shipper and not held for 24-48 hours which is their policy. NEVER again. UPS gets it right all the time.. they will get my business all the time as well. I prefer NO stars but thats not an option. read more

i never ever left in my life a bad feedback, but i got to do it here, we have a business in Chester NY where we got our packages %90 of the the time through UPS, but whenever it comes with FedEx there is problems, this week we had 3 different issues, one package was never put on the truck for early AM and then they lied to me that we will get the package by the end of the day which never happened and the next day it was "Mistakenly" on the wrong truck again, today the driver lied that he was here trying to deliver a package but there is no note on the door, and we have plenty of employees in the office, when i called in if i can meet the driver somewhere they told me NO your package will be delivered by the end of the day, there is no customer service to talk to, so basically we can close down half of our production if we are going to continue with FedEx read more

I gave one star not for those that answer the phone in customer service, drive the trucks ,fly the planes or sort the packages. The one star is for those Fedex higher ups, think tank, software inventors ,system tech operators who do not do their job effectively. This past weekend everyone knew it first was a holiday weekend and forecasted in the Midwest and Northeast a weather problem. FedEx was open for operations on Monday, they accepted express delivery to all the effective areas, they charged money for a service they were aware they could not deliver. We were in South Carolina and needed to express mail a legal document that we didn't have advanced notice of having to accomplish by Tuesday morning. We rushed to Fedex Monday midday paid $34 dollars and change to have it delivered by 10:00AM in Newburgh , NY. We made arrangements to have someone wait at our home for delivery. They were there at 8:30 AM and waited most of the day because the tracking system said it was in transit from Memphis to Newburgh at 5:30AM to be out for delivered at 10:30AM. This message stayed on their tracking message board until 1:00PM.It wasn't till much later we learned it never was anywhere in transit since it arrived at Memphis center since the evening before.First complaint your so called tracking system is defective /flawed. Secondly, FedEx should of never accepted packages they knew they could never deliver...why send a truck from SC to Tenn. Where there was big time warnings of incoming terrible storms...dumb! Your delivery system should be able to punt,think outside the box ...deliver on your promise...something should be in place when a package being sent from SC to NYC when the distribution center for that zone is in a weather war zone. Red alert should be automatic on your system when conditions make it unlikely for delivery, and your tracking system is useless to your customers. Lesson learned ask where the FedEx distribution center is that will fly or drive my overnight express mail.Customer beware it's about them taking your money , run like thiefs and have customer service say to the customer " I am so sorry for the inconvience". read more
