And these were "top" movers with high ratings-the horror stories I have could fill pages about these "great" movers. Promised times on arrival and drop off - so called quotes - promise of a truck pick up only to find out on moving day that the company sent a crate instead - great packers that care - ALL BS! PORTER'S is the only 5 star company that DESERVES 10 stars ! This move was a son going from Iowa to Louisiana. 1. Arrived when they said they would - came with super clean truck ( I am talking about the inside where our items go) 2. Brought plenty of moving blankets and wrap. 3. Worked efficiently and kept in motion the whole time. 4. ***this is the most important ** we just remodeled our home everything from new carpet , new painted walls to brand new entryway and we were so worried about heavy furniture coming up from downstairs. We worried for nothing. Kyle and Adam were fantastic and there was not even the smallest mark anywhere from anything. They had to bring up a super heavy hideaway couch along with a king size Lebeda ( heaviest mattress out there) and our woodwork and walls stayed perfect! 5. Showed up in Louisiana next day as promised. 6. Found out my son experienced the exact same GREAT service and care on his end . He said everything arrived in perfect condition. Porters handled the move the same there ; no walls , floors or entryways were damaged . They set everything up and worked in the same efficient manner . My son was so grateful and happy that we made the choice to try Porter's , he asked if they would drive to Louisiana to move him to where he needs to go next round. "WORTH EVERY PENNY"......... my sons exact words!! Glad we found this company! Don't hesitate to call them . John is great in the office. His quote was exact ( we knew there could be variation in the labor part of the quote and we were good with that ) but turned out to be exactly what was quoted. Once again ....our thanks to Kyle and Adam for a perfect move ! ( trust me , I review under JetterJ on trip advisor and I am very truthful and very PICKY and critique everything . I had no clue that you could get 10% off if you mention Yelp! I wished I had because I spent a…read moresmall fortune on shipping my visa application (and all the supporting documentation) and could have used all the discounts possible! Anyway, as mentioned, I needed to ship very important documents and UPS was one of two options I was given. Now, the instructions I was provided with specifically state that Express service must be used and that I must supply prepaid return shipping and packaging as well. I figured since these instructions were issued by the British Government that this would not be a problem. The store is quite bare and as far as shipping supplies, they had some, but it isn't a massive variety. I grabbed two large, padded envelopes and made my way to the counter. At the counter, a very friendly staff member greeted me and I explained the situation. He typed in the information in to give me a quote, but after typing in the information the option to create a return shipping label became greyed out. I showed him the instructions I had received and also mentioned that I created and account and I could create a return online for international shipping, but I couldn't figure out how to combine that with creating an outward shipment. This is usually why I hesitate to go to the stores, I always feel like they don't know as much about international shipping options... HOWEVER, I do feel like this guy should be given five stars for going the extra mile to get answers for me. He called the help number and was bounced around a number of times, but kept on until someone could provide an answer. Not to mention it was prime time for people to drop of their shipments and he was able to assist all of them at the same time. And just in case you were wondering, you can hear the chatter from the hair salon next door. Eventually he did get an answer (kind of ridiculous how long he was made to wait after being transferred around) and the answer was that they could not create a return for an international shipment in store. He did offer the UPS Express Envelopes so I didn't have to purchase and use the massive padded envelopes. Unfortunately, I did have to correct the addresses on the labels twice, so part of me is still a little worried that something might be incorrect with the shipment. I guess I'm a little confused as to why you can do this online, but you can't do it in store. So while I appreciate the extra effort of the staff member, I can't say that this store meets all of my shipping needs. I think I might opt for the other company if I have to do this particular shipment again.

When it got there, monitor broken..no worries..its insured!! right?!?! Nope, over a year nothing...... refund me the damn insurance then! go anywhere else..Fedex, Amazon, USPS...whatever. Don't go here.....
