When one person in our group bristled and told the staff the literal definition of a cabana is a *shaded* lounging area, the manager told him "I could do without the attitude." Clearly they were stressed about how few umbrellas they had, but also why did they feel it was okay to sell us such a pricey table without one? The pool was tiny and cramped and full of kids and not as advertised at all. The food is alright-- I actually really enjoyed their tuna crispy rice, kale salad, and margaritas both times I've visited. The whole experience was overpriced and truly we could've done without the attitude from the staff.

This hotel checked all the boxes and has become one of my favorites so far! We arrived about an hour before check-in, and the front desk was able to accommodate us with an early check-in for a $75 fee, which was well worth it after an early day of traveling. One thing I wasn't aware of before arriving was the $15 daily fee for non-local residents, so keep that in mind if you're planning a longer stay. The hotel is currently being remodeled floor by floor, and we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to one of the newly renovated rooms on the 11th floor. The room was beautiful, but it's located directly below the rooftop bar. If you're staying on a Friday or Saturday night, expect to hear music and activity until around 4 a.m. Thankfully, I'm a heavy sleeper, so it didn't bother me much. The moment I walked into the room, I was completely distracted by the incredible city view. I barely took any photos of the room because I couldn't stop looking out the window! Waking up and winding down with that skyline made the stay even more memorable. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely book this hotel again. If you're looking for amazing views and a convenient location, this is definitely a great option. Just be mindful of the additional daily fee and request a room away from the rooftop if you're a light sleeper.

It is conveniently located only a couple of blocks from the 4/5/6 lines, and is relatively inexpensive, especially for being in Yorkville/Upper East Side. With the included meal during the weekdays, it was a great experience to get to know a bunch of guys from around the same age group who are from all over the world. The rooms are small, there's no denying that. And community bathrooms may not be for everybody. But it was like being back in a college dorm without all the craziness (and with your own bedroom). I wish I had gotten the chef's name, but he's been popping outside and checking in with tables, which I really appreciate. Besides him, the staff is ALWAYS so friendly and attentive. This past week, I had the pizza (shoutout to Mike!), turkey club, turkey wrap, buffalo chicken bites, California chicken sandwich, and lobster roll. I have no complaints, except I was so full I had to roll back to Boston. I'm loving ABC's glow up. This is such a great club with great people, and now the food is just as good.

It's a way to enjoy a sunset or afternoon to just kick back and relax with a drink. That being said- the bar is not always open- so don't fully rely on it being open, but you can still bring your own drinks and snacks on board, which makes it even better than other bars with rooftop and waterfront views - huzzah! It will take you to Brooklyn Army Terminal and Downtown Rockaways if you like a stop there as well. It's not faster than the A train or S train, but way more relaxing and lovely and enjoyable- even in the rain through the dirty windows.

I booked a room (Studio 5) at the High Tide for an anniversary weekend trip, and it does have lovely amenities and a great location (very close to the beach). However, from 10 PM until well after 1 AM, the noise from the bar below was LOUD, making it impossible to sleep (even with using a noise machine and earplugs). I think it was a live band until about 1, then switched to a loud sound system. The bed and walls were reverberating from the bass. It was perhaps the worst sleep I've gotten in years and I was exhausted the next day. I checked out early and we cut our trip short because I couldn't deal with two sleepless nights in a row. I got in touch with management hoping they would refund me for the night I wasn't there, and they wouldn't. They said I should have contacted them to switch rooms, but I don't see how that would have fixed having a hotel above a loud bar. I wish I had read the many reviews I now see here about how loud this place is at night. If you're a night owl this place will probably suit you, but keep this in mind if you go to bed earlier.

I'm not really bothered by it, however I could see this being a major frustration for anyone looking for a quiet place to sleep, relax, or work so it's something to keep in mind. I think they are open to the public after a certain time so if you aren't a member you can still stroll on in. Smart move on their part because they'll get extra business that way. I wasn't too much of a fan of the band playing but it was really nice to be on the beach hearing some music that part was pretty awesome. I walked down to the beach area to check it out. My friend wanted to eat and I didn't have a lot of money so we shared a pizza. She picked the toppings. Many times I'm a people pleaser. I just don't want to get into an argument and will comply with the wishes of others pretty easily if I am okay with it so I let her pick the toppings. Overall it was a nice experience being here and I would come here again especially if they had a band I like better than the rolling stones tribute band.

She had paid a full deposit for a cabana share, and after her passing, I contacted the Beach Club to address the money she had paid. What followed was months of frustration, excuses, and, quite frankly, an unacceptable lack of integrity. I was repeatedly given conflicting information and assurances that the matter would be handled, only to have those promises go nowhere. I was continuously told different things, and despite numerous attempts to resolve the situation, my mother's money was never returned. This is not simply about a deposit. It is about how a business chooses to treat a family that is dealing with the death of a loved one. The complete lack of compassion, transparency, and accountability shown by the management and ownership was disgusting. A reputable business should not need to be chased repeatedly for months over money belonging to a deceased customer. And management should certainly not make promises they have no intention of keeping. What makes this particularly upsetting is that this could have been handled with basic decency and professionalism. Instead, I was met with what felt like constant runaround and dishonesty. The way this situation was handled says far more about the character of the management and ownership than it does about the amount of money involved. I would strongly caution anyone considering giving this establishment their business to think twice about how they may be treated when something goes wrong. Absolutely disgraceful.
