Mackenzie gave us the run-down on which trails and Wineries we might want to visit during our ride which we appreciated greatly. I knew…read moreI wanted to bike, get some exercise, just work out and what better way to do it than to cycle! I found Bike Partners online as they specialize in folding bikes esp trikes!! I went downtown a few weeks ago and saw they were closed. I texted Geoffrey and found out they operate by appt only since he's a one man show. I made an appt online for 6/20. Went in and tested the Workman Trike and the low rider trike (with a seat like a beach chair). I liked the look of the Workman Trike better because I wanted the "bike" look as well as being able to sit tall. I also liked the basket in the back. This particular trike is not your normal kids trike. This one it's made by Workman which is the oldest bike manufacturer in the US since 1898. They make both industrial and recreation bikes. It's a sturdy little bike and I am very happy with it! Maybe I can work my way up to riding a 2 wheel bike one day. If not, I'm happy with this bike just to work out. I will try to find a way to fit it in the Prius. It does fold but just barely fits when closing the hatchback. We will try different positions and see if we can make it work. Otherwise, loving my new bike. I highly recommend Geoffrey at Bike Partners. He even delivered my bike the same day since I couldn't drive it home.

The resulting route winding through these private parcels offers an unmatched "biking through the vineyards" experience. It really should be on every wine country visitor's must-do list! Along the 8-mile stretch, you'll pass more than 25 wineries including Napa Valley's famous "Castle Winery," Castello di Amoroso, and Sterling Vineyards, known for its aerial gondola. The trail also detours through Bothe State Park, where you might be tempted to stop and park your bikes (locks provided) to explore the trails on foot for a bit. Bicyclists who make the full journey to Calistoga (8 miles) will be rewarded with charming local shops, cafes, tasting rooms and restaurants to explore.
