My only other thing was that the technician who moved my car was smoking as he got into my car. He wasn't smoking in my car but the smoke got in there and I could smell it for the rest of the day. He looked at the bulletin and I asked him if he would perform the work outlined in the bulletin with my parts and he said that if there was any supplied parts that were incorrect or he needed additional parts, he would slap the old parts back in the transmission, push the car outside and would charge me a Second time to do the work. I walked in for a New York State vehicle inspection, a service they advertise, but from the moment I arrived, Scott was dismissive. He immediately assumed, "You're probably here for an inspection, that's the only time you come," which set a negative tone. Before I could even respond, his uncle chimed in, bringing up an irrelevant issue about tires I supposedly didn't pick up two or three years ago. What does that have to do with my inspection? Absolutely nothing. It felt like a deliberate attempt to shame me and avoid doing their job. I expected to be treated with respect as a customer, but instead, Scott and his uncle teamed up to make me feel unwelcome. They didn't offer to inspect my vehicle, nor did they provide an appointment, which they are legally required to do under New York State law (§ 79.8(c)--if they can't inspect your vehicle right away, they must offer an appointment within eight days). Instead, their hostile attitude left me with no choice but to walk out--it genuinely felt like they threw me out for no reason other than their own bad attitudes.

I took it to Sharp Transmissions because of the reviews and its a transmission shop. I work on my truck as much as I possibly can but dealing with repairing a transmission is out of my wheel house. I dropped off the truck in the morning and I got a call about 2 hours later. Milt told itme he had inspected the car test drove and it was not the tranny it was the power steering pump that had a small not noticeable leak but the fluid resevoir was almost dry and that was the noise I was hearing coming from the truck. He added power sterring fluid and solved the problem but let me know it something that will need attention down the road. I thanked him I picked up my truck later that evening. Drove the truck home ran like a charm. I will certainly take it to him again when I need work done. The AAA tow truck operator asked me where I wanted it to be towed, and I immediately said "Sharp Transmission." The dropped it off and put the key in the after hours slot. Next day,I called Milt and said, take a look and give me my options. No rush, I said, since I have other cars I can drive. Milt and his crew found some time to not only diagnose the problem (two rubbng hoses put a hole in one), but to repair the problem. Same day! I picked the car up this morning and it is working perfectly. Like I said before, if you are not taking your car to Sharp, you should start doing so.
