He looked at the bulletin and I asked him if he would perform the work outlined in the bulletin with my parts and he said that if there was any supplied parts that were incorrect or he needed additional parts, he would slap the old parts back in the transmission, push the car outside and would charge me a Second time to do the work. While they were in there, they were upfront about the spark plugs - noting that since access was already open, it made sense to take care of it now rather than paying for the same labor again down the road. After having my car for over five hours I receive a call from an arrogant little man telling me they won't do the flush because their sad excuse for a mechanic took my vehicle out and he says my torque converter is shot. When I tell this little worm that my car is fine he continues to snidely tell me that it will be $4,700 to fix it "right" or it will not last more than a few more months. I go retrieve my car from these geniuses and promptly take it to the dealership and ask for the same service, which they perform with no issues. I also ask them to take the car for a test drive and a transmission diagnostic test to which NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND! F this location. I used to like this company and I've used other locations with no problems. They picked the wrong person to try to scam. I wonder how many people have fallen for this garbage. Should I spend 2K on a used car I knew nothing about or put that money into I car I loved and knew it's complete history. I had some misgivings but decided to have the transmission rebuilt. It turned out to be a wise decision. I'm posting this now because I just came across the receipt. That rebuilt transmission is now 3 years and 3 months old (It was warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles) and both it and the car are still going strong. I do recall that Consumers Transmission was easy to work with, had the car done when they said they would and they even came in slightly less than my original quote. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Next day,I called Milt and said, take a look and give me my options. No rush, I said, since I have other cars I can drive. Milt and his crew found some time to not only diagnose the problem (two rubbng hoses put a hole in one), but to repair the problem. Same day!
