Everything was delicious but the samsas and korma chop really stood out to us. We also ordered tea to share, it had a fantastic flavor and ended up being a highlight for us. There was a burger and chips option but when I requested it they told me that just don't have it. No reason why. They don't have plastic cups for kids either. We ended up getting the beef noodle soup, a noodle dish with beef and a few lamb and chicken kebabs. The beef noodle soup had no flavor / it tasted like water with chillies. The beef noodles were over cooked and needed salt or something. The lamb kebabs were chewy and the chicken kebabs were way too spicy. The wait time for the food took 30 minutes and while I am pretty patient - it was not worth the wait. The servers were non- existent and I had to constantly ask for napkins, water, take away boxes. The only time I saw them Was when I called them to order and then called to pay. They should not work in the service industry as a smile goes along way but clearly they hate customers. There was just no attempt to be nice at all and they were not very accommodating with questions. Let me not even get started on the bathroom. It was dirty and there was no loo paper. Give this place a skip. It's just not worth the time and the money you will spend there.

They're friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. We've become regulars not just because of the amazing food and hookah, but because of the people. If you're in the area and looking for a great hookah spot, Oceans8 is a must-visit. And don't leave without trying the crepes and matcha--they're a huge bonus!

The atmosphere is modern and inviting, and not overwhelming. I ordered food to-go because I did not want to deal with the Hookah smoke, and this is what I suggest for anyone else not comfortable with Hookah. The food is absolutely worth it! I ordered the Uyghur Samosa and Lamb Kabob. Uyghur Samosas are flaky, buttery pastries packed with a ground meat mixture(just like Vietnamese Pate Chaud!). Super delicious. Now, I'm not a lamb guy but the lamb kabob just blew me out of the water. Not gamy in the slightest, the meat is tender and has plenty of spice. Pickled onions and pita are a nice compliment. Could not recommend the lamb enough!! Please do yourself a favor and visit Ocean8, they deserve more recognition.

Upon entry, we were greeted with warm smiles and a friendly staff. The general manager was also there and was very welcoming. Right off the bat, we were offered complimentary tea even though we were ordering for take out. The gesture was really cool. The menu has a bunch of offerings so it took us a minute to choose. We ended up getting a little bit of everything so we could try all the flavors. We got the Adana and Chicken Platter and the Beef and Lamb Donner platter. The Adana which is a ground beef skewer was delicious and surprisingly juicy. The chicken was a little dry and under seasoned making it hard to eat. I would pass on the chicken in the future. Maybe they could have benefited from using chicken thighs. The beef and lamb donner was a little underwhelming for my preference. With the meat being cooked the way it was, I was expecting a little crisper texture on the outside which would have made the eating experience more enjoyable with the rice and the bread. The meat could have used more seasoning but that could just be my personal preference. Both entrees came with a healthy portion of rice, bread, and veggies which was really great and filling. Overall something to definitely try if you have never had Turkish food but would only go again when I'm in the area.

Taste of Istanbul was a delightful experience. I ordered the combination kebab platter to sample a bit of everything, and not a single item disappointed. The real standout was the chicken, it was cooked to perfection, incredibly juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Even the rice exceeded expectations, as it was well-seasoned and genuinely delicious rather than just a side dish. The service was attentive, with the staff offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we asked for. The ambiance is relaxed and inviting, and the outdoor seating makes it an especially enjoyable spot when the weather is nice. The mixed mezze platter was another highlight, offering generous portions that were easily enough to share among a few friends. The bread was fresh, warm, and crisp. It's also worth noting that they're open until midnight on Sundays, making Taste of Istanbul a fantastic option for a satisfying late-night meal.

Also have outside table around the restaurant if you want to dine out if the weather is nice Service was ok noting stand out. Food so delicious remind me went I was in Turkey. The only thing I didn't like is the Soda that supposed to be from Turkey. The version of the Coke that was $3 for little bottle was not that appealling. The Lamb Shish Kabob 5/5 $ 24- Omg so good serve with rice and pickle vegetable, also come with flat bread if you want. The Lamb was cook perfectly and full of flavor, the rice was mix with some sort of grain that was a interesting texture but good. I would come back even know the price is above normal what I pay for lunch, but the food is good.
