I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND this place! Anyone who has food allergies/sensitivities, & for those who like to fuel their bodies with superior quality food- this place is a MUST! Quality- meat is all grassfed, non GMO, no hormones, no preservatives, NONE of the junk! And it costs pretty much the same as the competitors which use the crap quality substitutes. Allergies- I almost never get to eat out because I'm very lactose allergic, and gluten sensitive. Most places don't take that seriously, tell me "you should be fine", and I always end up sick because of their negligence or the cooks cross-contamination. Especially if you're going for ethnic food- usually all bets are off and you almost always get sick. These guys TAKE FOOD ALLERGIES SERIOUSLY! And the employees are knowledgeable about food allergies as well. Every item on the trendy menu is clearly labeled as: V, DF, Veg, Gluten free. And if you're lacto like me- their garlic sauce is AMAZINGGGG and an excellent substitute for tzatziki. Oh, and their hummus is gluten free too, unlike most places :) Building- very clean & modern - you get the mom & pop ethnic taste without the dingy broken-down & unpleasant atmosphere that most ethnic places have. FelFel is more upscale and trendy than chipotle is, to give you an idea, and even has a fire pit to sit around outside in warmer days. Customer for life? Find this place after hearing it mentioned at a meeting while in Denver for work. Glad I searched it out because I love Mediterranean cuisine and this place satisfied that craving. Ordering was simple with the help of a very friendly staff who walked me through the process. The shawarma plate with hummus and salad was delicious and they threw in a couple of falafel since I was a first time visitor. The food was fresh, well prepared and the warm pita really brought everything together. I wouldn't hesitate to visit FelFel again and you should make time to visit, too. What a gem!!! Ishmael the owner went above and beyond when my mother wasn't happy with her initial dish. She didn't know the difference between fire grilled and just the regular shawarma chicken. I frequent this restaurant AT LEAST once a week. In fact I believe I am the longest standing customer! I love everything on the menu. I get something different most times but definitely have a few favorites. Rotisserie chicken, beef shawarma, and lamb wraps are at the top of the list. Fresh hummus, tahini, pita, salads, and yogurts are among my favorite sides though there are many more I have not tried yet because I keep going back for my favorites so far. FEL FEL NOW SERVES BREAKFAST AND IT IS AWESOME!!! Breakfast wraps, croissants, meat pastries, fruit treats, baklava, they have it all. I live close by and work from home, so once a week I treat myself to lunch out. 9 out of 10 times, I choose Felfel and here's why: The food is solid. I normally get either the chicken or beef plates, I like both, but the chicken is great with garlic sauce. The hummus and baba ghanoush are better than anywhere else I've been in the Denver area. The tabbouleh is also wonderful- it's heavy on the parsley, which is wonderful for me. I don't really like it when it's bulgur or couscous with a dash of parsley. I always feel wonderful after I eat here, which, when eating out is often not the case. The owner is almost always there and always greets me with an enthusiastic "Hello! How are you today!" To my knowledge, he and his team are very good about resolving issues if one does arise. For example- I ordered garlic sauce once and they forgot to put it in the bag. Not a problem, he apologized and handed one over. I do recommend checking your order before you head out though. Especially if you are stopping by to pick up an order during lunchtime. They do get busy and when they get busy and, well...mistakes do happen. Price wise, it's fine. It's more expensive than most of the other places I've tried in the DTC/ South Metro area, but you get what you pay for. Felfel is fresh and delicious! read more

OUTSTANDINGLY, RIDICULOUSLY, YUMMY. I haven't traveled the Middle East and don't know what's "authentic" for each region, but I can tell you that THIS is the way food should be. I absolutely have to give 5 stars on the basis of the terrific food, no matter what minor pet peeves anyone else could mention. It is mind-altering good food. Service can be hit or miss depending on who's behind the counter. The owner and his family will treat you like family, and they clearly train their employees to do the same. Sometimes a new employee hasn't quite got the idea. Also during off-peak hours it is possible to catch some salad a little less crisp, or some meat a little dry. This is after all Colorado, where ambient humidity is like 3% or something. But with those exceptions being acknowledged (because perfection is unattainable)... THIS PLACE IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS. You could not find better food for $60 a plate at some ritzy downtown place. And this place is quicker, very affordable, more friendly than such premium venues. Make allowances for the casual style, and there's no better deal in town. I've eaten fine Mediterranean fare in New York City, in California, in North Carolina, and elsewhere... but none better than this! read more

Very delicious food and friendly staff. Glad I finally made the effort to try it out after driving by so many previous times. Very happy that this is part of my neighborhood and I can add it to my regular stops. Very fresh food. I'm a vegetarian and their Falafel plate was great. The spices in the rice were a nice surprise and the hummus was just outstanding. From the outside I expected it to be like that chain place but was pleasantly wrong. I've been twice now and the food has been consistently tasty, plus there is a lot of it if you order one of the meals. The service both times has been great in the sense they are patient and helpful explaining if it is your first time and also friendly when checking back in throughout your meal. This is my favorite place for Mediterranean food. I usually get the chicken shawarma. It's absolutely delicious! My wife gets the falafel(her favorite), also her favorite place in town. It was closed while they remodeled and we had a hard time getting our Mediterranean food fix. We are excited it's open again and can get our food fix! Love this place. Everything from the service to the food was exceptional here. This was our first time their and they were very patient and helpful with our order. We both got shawarma, and they gave us free falafels for it being our first time. The atmosphere was pretty cool and people were constantly coming in to eat which is usually a good sign. Exceptional! Not only was the food delicious, but what stood out the most was the man behind the front counter taking orders. Didn't catch his name (bald, little scruff/beard) but he was so friendly. Moment I walked in the door, a warm greeting, almost like he was expecting me, and then I let him know I was really hungry, it was my first time here, and asked for recommendations, and he very knowledgeably led me through the menu, and helped me select something I'd love, was just very personable and friendly. The owner is a great guy with a commitment to the community that just won't stop. When they first opened, he was working about 100 hours a week, it seemed, because he was always there -- always smiling and welcoming and offering free samples of his wonderful falafel. They have grown a lot since then and have earned every customer. I don't like their serano pepper garlic sauce, though. I wish they made two types -- one with serano and one without.
