Let me start by saying how HORRIBLEEEEEEEEE this place is!!! Yelp really needs to allow zero stars. I'm SO disgusted by Felicia & her employees. Absolutely DISGUSTED!!! Felicia was recommended to me by a family friend who swore she was the best in the area. HAAAAA NOTTT!!!! I called & spoke with Felicia & she set my appointment for 9:30AM on a Friday. She even confirmed the time before hanging up. I HATE verbal appointments but because she was recommended to me, I had faith in her. I took off work, showed up 10 minutes early & waited in my car (even skipped stopping for breakfast so I could make sure I was respectful of her time) & went in as soon as it was my appointment time. I walk in & there was a lady working on a lady who must have had an appointment before me. I told her I was there to see Felicia & she said she was on her way & to sit in a chair. Mind you, this chair had a small box on it so instead of moving it she just had me hold it. About 20 minutes go by before I realize I still have yet to see anyone else come in & since I had never met or seen Felicia I didn't know who I was looking for at all. I asked the lady if Felicia was still coming & she just said "yeah". I waited about 20 more minutes & asked again. She walked into another stall, came back & said "she is coming". At this point I'm getting frustrated because Felicia never reached out to let me know she would be late & the lady could not give me any time frame. I also used one of my few days off left for the year so I really wanted to get my hair done that day as early as possible. I also didn't call Felicia because I assumed the lady was actually reaching out to her. I waited 15 more minutes, told the lady I was leaving & to let Felicia know I said to have a good day. I ended up getting a call an HOUR after leaving from some random lady who asked if I had an appointment with her. At this point it was almost 11:30AM! I let her know I did have an appointment that was set for 9:30AM but to cancel it & hung up. I got a call that evening from Felicia who left a voicemail asking what happened. She even called my family friend to get in touch with me. I finally called her back & we talked about what happen. She was very apologetic & wanted me to come back & she would do my hair personally (thought she was going to when we originally spoke but guess not). She even offered to do it for half off of the $180 total so I was so happy about that but told her I was willing to pay the full price since she was nice enough to call me back & rectify the situation. I let her know I would call or text her back the next day to book an appointment. I texted her the next morning & did not get a response, assumed she was busy & waited to call that evening. She INSTANTLY answered but skeptically like it was an accident. She then asked what I wanted done & if I could send her a picture. We hung up & I immediately sent her a pic of the style which is what I saw on her website. I waited a little, no response. I then followed up asking if it was possible to do that style & what day/time works best for her (because EVEN after HER employee inconvenienced ME I still wanted to be respectful of HER time). She texted back a simple "okay" without giving me a day/time. I followed up again with the day/time question but never heard back. One thing I will NOT do is chase an unprofessional person so I did not text or call her again. Absolutely RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!! If she didn't want to do my hair, she could have easily said that during the MANY convo's we had & I would have moved on but she baited me into thinking she was going to stick to her word. I will NEVER deal with her again & have already started telling people I know to avoid her at all cost. Very, VERY phony! She also works with another braider (which I was completely unaware of) who I had to give a bad review as well for not showing up to my appointment when SHE booked the time so I'm completely DONE with anyone working in Salon Plaza. There are a TON of BETTER braiders in the area. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! NOT WORTH IT!!!! read more

I have gone to Felicia's a few times. Recently my hair was done by someone other than Felicia and didn't come out the best. I called her and she redid it with no problem. She wouldn't even allow me to tip her. She seemed genuinely upset with the way my hair turned out when I came back to see her. She definitely put customer service first! I normally go to Felicia's to get my hair done. She normally does a good job but after today ......I showed the style I wanted she did not do it as the picture I told her I did not like it and if she can take it out instead she takes off my ...Apron and walks away with an attitude I wait awhile and ask her again if she may take it out she says "take it out yourself "smh!!!!! I would have paid for her to even take it out. now I do not know how to post the picture I wanted and hairst I got which is nothing like the picture or what I expected. the bun is far back on my head the braids aka cornrolls are nothing like the picture I did send it to someone and they also said they were nothing like the picture . now I left out because of the treatment I received you would think she would ask what I did not like about it and take them out and suggest another style nope. So if anyone knows me I believe in doing the right thing I called her and she tells me because of my hair she could not do it the way of the picture and that is why she showed me the first braid she did to my hair ans because I said nothing she chose to do what she felt was right. I informed her that now I now to put the picture up to my head ans see if the braids are the same as the picture I also informed her that I put my trust in her in fiving me what I asked for. that she should have informed me she could not do the style and suggest another style( now that's what other braiding professional do. I believe that if someone says they can give you what you want then they should and if they can not tell the truth instead of continuing to do what you feel and take their money now some people would have walked out I did not. I came back and paid for the style. Now her pictures online are good but if you seen my hair they are not so that showed me that she is selective in doing people's hair they want so please be careful. Again I normally do not write a review but I truly want others to know. I also posted on google and it would not let me copy everything I posted. Just want others to know because I myself look at reviews ans if I see bad reviews I generally do not go there I learned to look at reviews prior to going now mind you know some businesses have their employees, friends and family to write post. Know this is not one. And before anyone from the salon post please know that good customer service would have been to ask the customer what she did not like try to fix it. instead of getting mad because the customer asked to take it out to me if a customer was wanting it taken out then and there he or she did not want to not pay for service. Felicia is absolutely amazing. I got waist length medium size box braids and was in and out in under three hours. Phenomenal care was taken with my hair and I love my braids. I can't wait to go back again! 10/10 would recommend!! read more

I went to get my hair braided here, because my usual spot let me down...I explained to her that I broke my leg and didn't want to come down there amd wait for hours and then sit for hours. She told me to come now that they was not busy. When i get there she has one person in the chair and another one waiting and she is the only one working. So I took a chance and went to Felicia they had me in and out within 2 hours. Usually when i get Senegalese it usually takes about 5 hours. 2 of them worked on my head with no break. That made me so happy and for the job to be great. They are very polite and asked what would I like to watch, I requested a good African movie love those movies. And they put one on for me i was gone before the movie ended. And also they cleaned their equipment after a customer use which made me happy in these uncertain times. Best braids I have ever gotten in the states. Sarah was very welcoming and accommodating. Managed to squeeze me into her extremely tight schedule which I appreciated so much.
