I have heard countless amazing reviews about Felius from everyone to friends, family, coworkers, and even someone who used to volunteer with them! I brought my sister for their Saturday kitten yoga and it was seriously one of the best experiences I have ever had in Omaha. I never thought I would get the opportunity to do something like this, so when I saw the listing on their Instagram, I immediately bought tickets. When we arrived at Felius, we were greeted by the friendliest and kindest staff, who were very helpful in guiding us through the process. I had never been so I was not sure what to expect, but I was truly wowed. First of all, the yoga instructor was very kind and helpful, and I felt her yoga routine was very soothing and easy to follow for all ages. I am not necessarily great at yoga but I found it simple to follow along, and I loved her guided meditation and the soothing music that accompanied the workout. The kittens they had in the room were absolutely the cutest and most darling animals I have ever seen, and if anything it was difficult to focus not because they were disruptive, but of how stinking cute they were! At one point a kitten even jumped on my back while in cat/cow pose, and I caught it on video! The kittens and cats were so friendly and well-behaved, and it is evident they are super comfortable around people. By the end we were even given around 30 minutes of play time with them, which is honestly the best deal since there were not many of us! Felius Cat Cafe & Rescue is such a wonderful addition to Omaha and the Dundee area. I've gone here several times now for different reasons. My nephew loves visiting the cats and decided to have his birthday party here one year and it was such a a fun time for the kids and it was great for the staff to share their mission with them. They partner with Cupcake Omaha and Lola's for food and treats and they have a small room to hold your event in. They also allow for some cat time too for you and your guests as well. Since then, I've gone to visit the cats with my boyfriend and family and most recently I've enjoyed their coffee and a delicious Mocha chip cookie. Sadly, Bad Seed Coffee is no longer there serving coffee but thankfully Felius took on the role in the cafe now too! When that change happened I knew I needed to try the coffee they offer and I will have to say the change from Bad Seed to Felius was seamless. Most recently, I stopped in when I saw that Felius was hosting a pop up of hand crocheted loaf cats, dolls, and keychains. I happened to be off that day so I definitely wanted to check it out and see what gifts I could find for Christmas. While I enjoyed my coffee and cookie I contemplated which cute creation I would purchase. I ended up with one of the cats for a friend and then stopped into the Felius shop that's right before you go into to see the cats. They have a few items in their shop front for sale that helps their mission. They also sell drinks behind their counter as well. They also sell Calendars that raise money for the care of their cats as well. I've gotten one last year and look forward to their 2026 calendar soon! What I love about Felius is that they take really great care of their cats. They have ample room to sleep and play in the cat room and they also have volunteers that help them as well. They are mindful of what food they give their cats and they make sure potential adopters know exactly what they're getting into when they decide on a cute kitty. If you're looking to add a furbaby to your family I suggest getting down here and meeting these kitties. If you're in the area and want to try some great coffee or need a place to sit and read their cafe is a great option. This is one of our favorite places to go when love seems crazy and we need a beat! You can reserve your spot on their website and fill out the release form ahead of time. When you get there, there's always a friendly face at the counter that runs you through the rules and any updates. There were a lot of kittens our last visit so they we reminded us about the rule not to pick them up, especially to ensure they're healing well. Then with a quick hand wash, you're good to go! The room is spacious and clean and there's plenty of room to spread out if others are also there. The cats roam free so I just pick a spot in the floor with a toy and let the cats run around me. Felius Cat Cafe offers two treats-- good coffee and cats to pet and adopt. The coffee shop used to be Bad Seed, but is now operated by Felius with income helping support the cat rescue mission. If you want to pet the cats, you need to sign a waiver. I did that a while ago so I don't remember exactly what it said. You also agree not to pick up a cat, but it's okay if they jump into your lap. There are some rules about age of visitors, but I didn't pay attention to that. We paid $10 each to spend 30 minutes in the cat room. A tiny black kitten named Otis jumped into my lap immediately. Bookguy sat on the floor and had two kittens climbing on him. There were several older cats as well as the kittens. Felius provides a valuable service by being a place for strays to be adopted. We love Felius cat cafe especially at their new location! We actually had my son's birthday there since I saw that you could reserve their cat room for varying lengths of time. I loved that you could add on food and desserts from neighboring restaurants in Dundee! Also with your rental fee, we had an amazing person to help us out during the party! It was really an amazing experience and one little kitty even found a new home after that party! Fast forward a couple days, my son requested getting a membership to visit the cat cafe monthly. I think it is an great thing because we can visit as much or as little as we'd like! Felius Cat Cafe shares space with a really good coffee company. The Bad Seed! Went here for the first time for one of my kids friend's birthday party. The cafe is kind of hidden but right on the corner down a few stairs. Once you find it you won't miss it again. Walking in was cute cafe with pastries and coffee. Through another door was the area where you could hang out with cats and kittens, then a small party room area in the back. What a fun place! I got my niece a gift card for her birthday and we checked it out. This is actually the last week they will be at this location but I'm excited to see their new location. We booked a time online and showed up a few minutes before. My niece got a lemonade and the barista asked if she wanted any fun flavors so she got Cherry. I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, tasted pretty standard. When I booked online I did not realize that it was per person. So I technically only booked 1 spot and then wasn't able to use the rest of my gift card for having to do the other ticket in person. Other than that, it was a smooth process. Went with adoption in mind, would not recommend. Awkward shaped rooms encourage sticking to the walls to give the cats room to play. Way too many children, poor cats had 3-4 wands in their face the entire time. Little opportunity for quality time with the cats. Gets crowded and hot quickly. I love this place! I was visiting from out of town and this ended up being the best hour of my day. There were so many kitties of all ages to pet and play with. The ladies working there are so friendly and happy to answer any questions you have about the cats. Cats we're great. People are just rude. They gave my group rude looks. The lady joined our group in the cat room and she kept on taking the limited cat's attention away from us. There were 8 of us in the room and around 8 to 10 ish awake cats in the room. The room is already pretty small for that many people and having her in there was not necessary. We followed all the rules and there was a huge glass window which she could see if we were breaking the rules. The first visit at the last location was way better. Will not be going again. read more

Drinks were just ok both times and the play room with the kittens is fine when it's just 3-4 people, but when it becomes 5 plus the volunteer allowed in the room is becomes quiet crowded. Definitely recommend reserving a time because you may not get in if your arriving as a walk-in. Overall would recommend trying at least once though for the experience. What I was surprised most by on my recent visit here - while my dog was being groomed next door at Wag - was the cleanliness. The cat room is a separate space that you can pay to play / sit in with six or more cute little baby kitties. Otherwise you can sit in the coffee shop and watch the cat antics. (Note that the minimum age to enter the cat room is 6-years.) Okay I love cats, I have one of my own, so a cat cafe was just a must for me to go to. You can order coffee (or other drinks!) and play with all their adoptable cats and kittens while you drink it. I had a blast at Felius! Not only is the coffee great (they use locally roasted beans from Muglife), but the atmosphere is bright and inviting. Of course, there's the room full of cats, which is the main draw. The cat playroom is sectioned off, so you can opt to just watch the little kitties as you sip on your coffee and work on your laptop. If you pay a small fee, you can head into the playroom and hang out, play with and pet the cats. Heck, you can even adopt them if you fall in love with one or two of the cute little cats. A purrr-fect spot for cat lovers! Felius is a cozy little cafe with three window-side tables and bar style seating in the main cafe area. You can enjoy delicious gourmet coffee and tea beverages while watching the cats play through the gallery window. (I highly recommend the orange mocha!) Reservations are recommended and primetime can fill up fast in advance.(See their website for schedule) $7/30min session for interactive play with the kitties. It happened to be a no-school Friday so on impulse my girls and I decided to try our luck without a reservation knowing at the least we could oooh and awe from the window. We arrived around 11am and were in luck as they had not filled the mornings reservations and had not yet met capacity for the playroom. We were also told that first thing in the morning and midafternoon times are best, when the cats are most active. You pay at the register in the cafe, enter the small prep room with rules for conduct and a handwashing station and then through the next door are the kitties! There are lots of cushions, toys, and structures for the cats with a handful of chairs for human seating as well. The cats often walked up to or past us but were busy being entertained for any kind of snuggles. They have many hiding spaces and can use the tunnel (high on the wall above the entry door) to retreat to a private human-free room with litter boxes or to take a quiet nap. They are pretty easy going with the allotted time you have, as long as they don't exceed capacity and you don't impeded the next reservation. Follow Felius on Facebook or Instagram for daily news about adoptions and new additions to the playroom. Yes adoptions, th o.j s may be the best part. Paying for a snuggle session helps support the care and upkeep of the cats and facility and all the cats are available to be adopted! This is a brilliant concept and so far I've seen many of the cats being adopted. There is no pressure to adopt when you are there though, with three of my own I am unable to bring home any more, but I can gladly do my part and share a little love with some deserving rescues. read more

I have waited a long time for this place to open and I'm so excited that Omaha has its first cat cafe! If you love cats you must make a visit, you will love it! Today I had the pleasure of attending a birthday party there and we rented the cat room for an hour. You can order drinks and we were permitted to bring in cake and snacks for the party. They do serve coffees and teas, both hot and cold. It costs $12 per hour or $7 per half hour to spend time in the cat room. The monies go to maintain the cats and room they are in, which is both reasonable and smart. When we were there four kittens shared the room and they were sweet and precious. The room was spotless and well maintained. The owners have each person sign a waiver before they enter the cat room, which is both wise and necessary. The owners have done an outstanding job of preserving the welfare and health of the cats in residence while running a very nice coffee shop. I wish them lots of success and I'm definitely heading back there. Note: You need to call a minimum of 12 hours in advance to reserve a spot in the cat room. read more

This is a fun little place to get your kitty time with a cup of coffee WITHOUT the full-time responsibility of taking care of a pet (if you can resist) and helping shelter cats at the same time!!! You start by making a half hour or hour reservation online (or you can walk-in if there's space-they don't want to overwhelm their 'residents'). When you get there to check in, you have the option to purchase coffee and tea beverages as well. I saw people just coming in off the street and grabbing coffees too. They have you wash up and then it's off to the bright kitty room!! All the cats are rescues and up for adoption so their info is on a monitor in the cat room. There's also a volunteer to answer any questions about the kitties and the cats can actually come and go if they get overwhelmed by going into an overhead tunnel into a back room. The cats are of all ages and energy levels so if you ARE looking to add to your family, it's a nice way to spend time getting to know the personalities. They do charge for going to see the cats but along with the coffee, merchandise, and adoption fees, all proceeds go towards taking care of and rescuing more cats!!! Win-win!!! Overall had a fun time! The cats are absolutely adorable and are all available for adoption. They are quite young (12 weeks- 5 months). The employees seem to genuinely care for them. After passing the coffee seating area (which is free of charge to spend time in) there is a small room for handwashing (required before and after the visit) which leads to the cat room. There are lots of toys and playgrounds through which you can interact with the cats. Customers seemed respectful of the sleeping kittens. My only complaint is that even at the main entrance, there was a hint of soiled cat litter in the air, but nothing that will ruin your experience (especially since it is realistically not possible to get rid of anyway). I am so happy that Omaha has joined the ranks of cities with cat cafes! In case you are unfamiliar with the concept, it goes like this: you go to the cafe and order your beverage, then enter a separate area where you can spend time with adoptable kitties! These particular kitties come from a local rescue group called Omaha Wags To Riches and are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Visitors must book time with the kitties for a fee that starts at $7.50 for a half hour. There is also a yearly Black Cat Membership for $350, and students, veterans, and seniors get a discount visitor rate! Per the website, "The entry fee goes towards cat care and ensuring the best possible experience for you and our feline friends." Before visiting the kitties you must wash your hands and review a list of rules about interacting with the cats. The rules are highly respectful of the cats' personal space and set a good example of how we should interact with all animals in almost all instances. For example, do not wake them up if they're sleeping and do not restrict their freedom of movement. A friend and I first visited Felius for the first time in October and stayed for an hour sipping our lattes and playing on the floor with adoptable kitties.
