They take great care of the units and have decorated them quite cute. The washer and dryer were a huge blessing for me while I was staying for the livestock show. It only takes ten minutes to get to the at &t center. A few small downfalls are that the neighbor kids play soccer in the field next to the house in the afternoon and are quite loud and also the place has one window ac unit that is located in the living room and not in the bedroom so sometimes it gets warm in the night. Here's the deal, you're not going to find a better deal, nice folks, and people that care as much about your happiness as this couple. I'll for sure be back!

The waterside cabana was awesome and probably our favorite part of our trip. I'd give the cabins a 2.5-3 star because it wasn't the cleanest. The cabinets had some grime on them and the counters. It didn't smell too fresh either. It didn't look anything like the photos which was a little disappointing. I can tell it has been run down over time. It's sad because I feel like a little bit of TLC and keeping matching towels and bedding can go a long way. We were also missing 2 bar stools and I had to ask for them because we were a family of 7 and there were only 4 stools, they were quick to accommodate which was appreciative! The barstools were different and didn't match, not a huge deal! It is a little disappointing when the pics don't look like the real deal. Feels a little misleading. I'd give it a 3 star for maintenance and upkeep in general. Between the cabins needing some upkeep, the decks by the game hall rotting in some spots, the game hall inside needs some TLC just about everywhere. But a little bit of it would go a long way. I feel this place could easily be a 5 star place if they tried just a bit more. Looking forward to trying their other locations. I do recommend this place but I would be mindful of how much the rate is. I think we went during a higher rate period...the value for dollar comes into play here. When you add the cabana and the wristbands for the kayaks, stand up paddle boards and the Lilly pad for our youngest the price can really get up there. I do wish that some perks were included like they used to include such as the cabanas and water toys. I feel like that would really set this place over! Overall a great family time for our family!

And drove back to the cabins instead of staying the next night in Austin. This place is heavenly. To begin with, it is a gorgeous setting ~ quiet, calming, lovely views from the porch. Next, the interior is BEAUTIFULLY decorated and appointed ~ nothing left to chance from the dishes to the wifi & TV. These cabins are elegant, more high end than some expensive hotels. And, yet, they are rustic ~ fantastic reconditioned barn wood ceilings, gorgeous stone bathrooms (with shower large enough for two;), giant full cabin length deck. I felt very pampered by the comfy king bed (super delicious sheets!) and the outdoor jacuzzi (easy to use). Another plus is that the owners are great. Easy to deal with and so willing to help. We LOVED our stay and are looking forward to staying again. If you get the chance, stay at Stony Ridge. You will be enchanted too!!!

I loved the covered porch with surround sound and the hottub. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were super soft. I also loved the shades that you simply pull down to cover all the windows at night. It really was peaceful and just the getaway we needed from the city. However, for the price I expected much more because I have never paid this much for a cabin that didn't include everything we needed for our stay. It also could have been a little cleaner for my liking when we arrived. First, they only provided 3 dinner plates, 4 small plates and 4 bowls along with 4 forks, 4 knives and 4 spoons. This would be OK if there were two of us and we were only staying one night, but they knew there were 3 of us and we were staying 5 nights. If you allow that many people for that amount of time, then you should provide enough of everything they will need during their stay. I mean who doesn't at least have an 8 piece setting? Also, while there are pots and pans, they are the cheap metal kind that everything sticks to, so basically useless. And don't count on using the oven because they only provide 1 glass 9x14 pan, so bring your own pans if you want more than a casserole or microwave dinners. There is the grill but its small. Also, the seating in the living room is not very comfortable and really only accommodates two. There is the patio, but again there is only setting for two. And it does get chilly on the patio in the evenings and unfortunately only 1 throw blanket was provided. We had to drive 40 minutes away to the nearest Walmart to get all these basic items that weren't included and that was frustrating. I would have simply brought my own items if I had known. If you are looking to only stay one or two nights with your significant other and you don't plan on making your own meals, then this place is great, but for a family who likes to cook who prefers comfort over looks, then I would look elsewhere. For that reason, I am only giving 4 stars.

We discovered the King William Manor's "Stonehouse" on VRBO and made a decision to stay there for our entire vacation. First off, Allison, with whom we dealt primarily, was very helpful. Not only did she help us with the rental by ensuring everything was ready upon our arrival, but she was incredibly useful by providing us lots of good tips on how to get around and where to eat. The Stonehouse, itself, was just what we were looking for: a chic, stylish home away from home that was also highly functional, clean, ideally located, and not overly pricey. Add the adjacent pool and it was a no-brainer to stay here. Allison and Craig have obviously put a lot of time and effort into renovating this home. Although it looks very unassuming from the outside, it boasts a lot of nice touches inside such as new paint and tile, new granite countertops, a nice HD flatscreen TV, huge master bath, new washer and dryer, and some pretty posh furniture options. It was perfect for me and my wife, along with our daughter and my 74 y/o father. Everything works and the house is/was immaculate. WIFI is fast and reliable. A nearby HEB grocery store is only .5 miles away if you need groceries. Numerous trendy cafes, bars, and restaurants line S. Alamo street upon which this house is situated. Two nearby VIVA bus stops make getting around SUPER easy and cheap. The southern end of the famed River Walk is a five minute walk away. Street traffic is minimal and generally quiet. We all slept well during our stay, especially since the provided beds and linens are so comfortable and soft. Seriously, this place is a hidden gem. It is perfect for a small family or two couples wanting to visit San Antonio. Centrally located to River Walk, Tower if the America's, and numerous dining options (I strongly recommend Rosario's, just up the street), Stone House is a perfect San Antonio vacation rental property.

The property consists of two historical houses, an inground pool behind the houses, a smaller house where the owners live, and a good-sized yard surrounding the whole thing. Craig is gifted glass blower and a few of his pieces have been incorporated into the decor (check out the tasteful, contemporary update on the chandelier in the main house.) Each room is individually decorated, and some great paintings from a local artist adorn the common areas in both houses. Alison is quick to help with directions, suggestions, or assistance with arrangements for local activities. The couple take the comfort of their guests very seriously, to the extent of expanding their culinary repertoire for the purpose of serving a unique breakfast each morning. A three minute walk will get you to the river trail (paved walking or biking trail) which provides a naturally scenic route to the Riverwalk. Alternatively, you can walk through the historic district and into downtown San Antonio and the Riverwalk. But with local artist galleries, several nearby restaurants (two of which are outstanding), and a great outdoor "neighborhood" bar/pub, you won't need to go anywhere to enjoy yourself.
