My haircut experience with Andy was fantastic. He listened attentively, patiently guided me through the process, and offered his professional opinion. I'm quite particular about the symmetry of the shape and lines, and Andy was incredibly precise, nailing it perfectly. I'm definitely booking Andy again. I left feeling like a rockstar, and I'm incredibly satisfied with my haircut. read more

I love coming here to get my haircut by Evelyn! She is really good at understanding what I want, even when I'm not very good at explaining it, and has a great memory. She's also very friendly and fun to chat with as you get your haircut. I always leave feeling good! 11/10, I recommend her to everyone. The whole place has a fun, chill vibes and it's in a great neighborhood. read more

AWESOME. Loved the vibe of all the workers there, extremely welcoming and courteous. I always have thick hair that's hard to shape in a great way and most of my life I've had barbers that can't handle it. I moved here a year ago and Shanon not only knew what I wanted based off a 20 second description and 2 pictures, she did it consistently and told me how to handle it. Even during the heat (which I would highly advise Management to install AC for their barbers) Shanon had a fan for me the entire time, loved it!! read more

I get my haircuts from Evelyn and it's always an absolute treat. There's no substitute for a good haircut and she nails it every time, even when I'm probably fumbling to describe what I want. Friendly atmosphere, great location. Highly recommend read more

More expensive than a "regular " barber shop but a whole lot better- and cheaper than the typical overpriced salon, especially for a classic men's cut read more

Got a fantastic cut from Alyssa! I just had my first ever appointment with Alyssa and she gave me exactly what I asked for. I have long-ish, very thick, frizzy hair - I usually come out of a hair appointment looking like a shrub. My cut from Alyssa looks fantastic. Easily the best cut I've had since moving to NY almost 10 years ago. Thank you! read more

Every now and then I get frisky and want to change up my barber. If you're like my buddy who says: I've been going to "X" for 20 years, it's the best $17 haircut on Long Island! Hey man, bully for you. I kinda swore off Fellow Barber because I had an expensive haircut at the Soho location and the end result wasn't what I wanted. I figured now that Blind Barber is closed, lemme hit up the good fellas at Fellow Barber. I actually found this place by accident. There's no signage stating this is a barber shop. I went to get coffee over the summer and saw the shop connected to the barber. I made my appointment online. When I walked in early I asked is there a free coffee with my price today? I wish the counter person says. Man do I miss Blind Barber... I had both a cocktail AND coffee afterwards. I meet my barber. I look him in the eye and tell him how I want my hair to be cut. Away he goes. Snipping, buzzing and cutting. After the cut, I see he made the top a little too poofy. (Is that a word?) not a problem sir, he went back and shaped it nice. Like a pro. He starts putting their product in my hair. And this Is the fifth star. He's upselling me! I friggin love that, know your business and promote the products. He's telling me these products are in Men's magazines, what do you think? I ran out of my Blind Barber products, I'm now using the Fellow Barber hair products. I love my cut, I will return. Now lemme buy myself a coffee.... read more

I see Alyssa! She's super cool, cute and talented! Whether you want something simple or a fun dope design, she's your gurrrl! Book with her! Fellow Barbershop itself is clean and everyone is chill. I highly recommend! These are some of the designs she's done on my lil bald head previously. Thank you Alyssa read more

Some terribly grumpy person hung up on me after a quick "no" when I asked if they had availability for an afternoon cut (since their website doesn't easily provide this service). The rudeness was off the charts. Never going here. Neighborhood resident. read more

Started going to Fellow as soon as I moved to Williamsburg last summer -- Love the staff / vibe and consistently have a great experience with Travis! Alright... CHECK. IT. OUT. I'm a client who's very hard to please, mainly because my sister is a hairstylist and cut my hair most of my life. She's a perfectionist and so am I. After bouncing around to about 6 different premium barber shops, trying to find the right fit, I FINALLY FOUND DOUG. Holy moly, this guy is nothing short of an ARTIST. The thing about him is he genuinely enjoys making men look their best, and that's exactly what he does. No matter what I throw at him, he always KILLS IT. I can honestly say I feel the best about my look the moment after I walk out of an appointment with Doug. read more

NEVER GOING BACK It was my first time at Fellow Barber today. The barber shop looked amazing. However, I couldn't say the same for the haircut I've had received. I had a senior barber name Richie, nice guy by the way. However, it seems he lacks experience in cutting hair although with 16 years of experience. Reasons 1. He didn't know how to properly give a shape up.My hairline is a mess. 2. He doesn't seem to know how to give his input with recommendations on blending the beard with a skin fade after 16 years of experience. 3. He didn't understand how to do a shape up for the eyebrows. ( until I explained it to him ). The total price of the haircut plus beard was 89.97$. Was it worth 89.97$ ? The answer - HELL NOOO. The shape up is one of the important parts of a haircut. It helps the hair stands out. To be honest, the cut I had received I've could of gotten better for only 20$. Would I recommend this place ? HELL NOOO. If a senior barber is cutting hair like this, I can only imagine what everyone else is doing. read more

I've seen several wonderful barbers at this location over the last few years, but none as personable, impressive, engaging, and talented as Derek. I've always strived to have a strong personal connection with the person responsible for taming the mane, and it's such a fulfilling feeling when you find that person you can trust to do it right, every time. Fellow Barber - Barbers Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Soooo let me start this by saying the 2 star review is no way a slander to the staff at Fellow Barber but more of an observation of our society. My partner and I are in NY for a wedding and wanted to both get haircuts. So we figured Fellow would work for both of us. we called and made appointments that would be at the same time. My partner asked was there any barbers that know how to cut African American hair and we were told that there was and we were set. we arrived a few mins late but we were still helped by the receptionist. because we were a few mins late our appointments had to be split which wasnt a big deal. we were late so we took what was offered. My Partner went 1st. I waited and then I was told another barber was open so I took that spot. The Barber cutting my hair was very nice. I told them I wanted a "low fade" and showed them a picture. things were going good at 1st but did not end well. the barber tried but it was clear they had no experience cutting African American hair. a suggestion is for Fellow to get more barbers that can cut other hair and also can admit when they cant. Im leaving names out because I dont want anyone to get in trouble or harassed. Just want them to be more aware. read more

HANDS DOWN THE WORST BARBER SHOP EXPERIENCE. I selected a " senior" barber on the site and chose the trifecta of a haircut, beard trim and hangover treatment (mind you this about to be a well over 100$ day excluding tip). I arrived on time and my barber was late. When she finally arrived I told her a wanted a fade to which she blankly looks at me and says "I don't do fades," and made me wait for a different barber to help me. First of all, how do you have the audacity to call yourself a senior barber or a barber in general if you can't do a f*cking fade?! How can you charge 80$ for a haircut and not know how to do a fade???? Finally I was seated with someone who in all fairness, as hard as he tried, did a TERRIBLE fade. So I opted out of the other services as they clearly don't know what they are doing. When i voiced my disappointment to the front desk they said that this normal and only some of their barbers know how to fade. That is the most absurd thing I have heard from any barber establishment. So I left feeling robbed and with a terrible hair cut. How did you get your barber certification if you can't fade. To hell with this place, save your money and go to a local place that charges 20$ for a cut where all barbers can give a killer fade. I'm flat out disgusted. read more

Fellow barber was a nice and clean barber shop. My boyfriend and I came around 2 on a Sunday and had to make an appointment for the next available barber who worked with long hair. It was a 2 hour wait so we went home and came back. The barber Anderson was on time and saw him right away. He let him know exactly what he was doing to his hair as he was doing it. He also gave him tips to protect his hair from breakage. He took his time and the haircut looked great not to mention the shine and volume from the blowout. Anderson is definitely his go to barber from here on out. Bring cash if you have it as we weren't able to add on the tip onto the bill. You'll get a double tip next time Anderson! All and all 4.5 Stars. read more

Greg at Fellow barber is the best. I've been coming here for years and I would highly recommend having him cut your hair. Fellow barber is always super clean, following COVID protocol and has a super friendly staff. 5 star all the way! read more

See Annie for the best haircut in Brooklyn! I've been seeing the same barber for 10+ years but recently started working in Williamsburg and needed to find a new spot closer to work. Change isn't easy but Annie came highly recommended and I couldn't be happier with the cut and overall experience. She's an absolute pro, gave a few great tips/updates to the cut I've been getting for years and provided excellent customer service. The shop is also top-notch with beautiful beamed ceilings, huge skylight and a cool, Brooklyn vibe. read more

I've been coming here for about 7 years and though there have been changes throughout that time, the constant remains how amazing my barber Greg is. I had tried another (very skilled) barber first, but once Greg first cut my hair I knew he was my guy. He's got a great eye and is extremely precise with all of his haircuts. He genuinely cares about how you look and takes pride in his work. On top of all of this, I'm happy to call him a friend and we talk about everything. He is a part of my regular grooming and relaxation routine. read more

I went for a shave and barber cut my face in 5 different spots without even an apology. Rude and horrible service.

I didn't get MY haircut here so my review is based on mine AND my bf's experience of this place. He needed a haircut before flying back home to California and we were recommended this place by the chicken and waffles place down the street. My bf has a specific haircut (tapered style) so our waiter said to ask for Mike. Walking upon this place we see there's no door, it pretty cool because it looks like the shop is in a garage. But upon walking in it looks very chiq and modern, well lit. Bf asked for Mike and the front desk guy got on his fancy computer and booked my bf. The computer said it was a 32 minute wait; awesome system, never seen that before. Wait was about 25 minutes, and Mike called my bf in. Nice waiting area right in the middle of the shop equipped with magazines, so that I could sit right behind my man while he was getting his cut. They also have cubbies behind the register to hold your bags if you have any. Turns out Mike was originally from yay area, Cali as well! Small world. When it was time for him to cut the hairs around my bf's face, Mike brought out a hot towel to open up my bf's pores, which meant no razor burn! My bf liked that a lot; they don't do that at home. He was very pleased with the cut and the service. read more

I grew my hair for 3 months.,I explain what I wanted (same style but shorter). Barber doesn't ask questions. I kept emphasize show me when u made big decision. End up with hair cut that doesn't fit head shape (so it's not fking same style) , and cut way too short so I can't fix it. He also cut my pimple (visible without needing attention) at the base of my hair. Showed you how uncared he is. Worst hair cut I ever have in 2 year and the price is the highest I ever paid 80 dollars. I can't recall being this mad after a haircut. read more

I booked a 6:15 haircut at Fellow Barber the other day in lieu of my usual spot because I was in a bit of a hurry and the barbershop is near my place of work. Immediately after booking, the manager texted me and asked whether I could come in at 6PM instead: no problem there. But although I arrived promptly for a 6PM, the shop kept me waiting until 6:30pm and then reassigned me to a different barber than the one I was booked with. Although the manager seemed well aware of the problem, he was all too glad to charge me full price for a late haircut with the wrong barber. So much for customer service. read more

I cut my own hair normally unless I'm need of a revamp or change. I'm very specific and bring pictures. Derek listened and crushed it! On top of that Derek is a genuine first class human who along with the barber shop made my Saturday afternoon wonderful. Found my spot & it's a vibe. read more

I have gone to this location a number of times For hair cuts. I want to love it and keep trying. On more than one occasion I have gone back directly after the first cut to get it fixed from not being satisfied with the original cut. I just got it cut again yesterday and not satisfied again. Questions were asked but It just feels like they are doing you a favor . Other reviews are correct about the people at the desk, they are a bit rude. (Wasn't this way when I first went there). Another interesting thing is the price change . I was told there is an additional $10 charge for a "senior barber". I joked to them "so it should be a better hair cut ?", They replied "no". Well they were right about that . I have gotten a couple of decent cuts there over the years there but it doesn't feel good when you walk out of a place feeling like you have just been duped . Really disappointing, that's a kind way of putting it. read more

Fellow Barber - First side shave from Lexi. Love it! - Barbers Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Used to have a great experience overall, but last time I was assigned this red-haired barber, I believed she was called Sue... long story short, the woman cut my hair most of the time not facing the mirror, which was annoying but ok... but she kept correcting my head posture in micro movements every 30 seconds, rather than her moving around, to an annoying extreme!! She should learn that a haircut is also a relaxing experience, and she should move around more or the chair if needed, a correction of the head here and there is normal but this was incredibly frustrating. read more

I've had so many disappointing haircuts in the past few years that my wife finally said "That's it - you're going to Fellow Barber!" and handed me a gift card. I covered my embarrasing Eraserhead 'do with a hat and sheepishly ambled over to the well-light, warm retro shop in North Williamsburg and recieved the best haircut in years. I was assigned Annie K, who was able to salvage the accumulated tonsorial wreckage from Astor Place haircutting malfeasance. She's extremely efficient and professional, and a home grown, Brooklyn-born tattooed savant with the scissors. Perfection! read more

Greg was amazing! Exclellent service! It was my first time at fellow barbers and would definitely go back. A little more in depth about my haircut. I'm not a fun of getting a haircut. Greg was sensitive and attentive to my needs. He gave me a full scissor haircut (he used clippers only to clean the lower back of the neck). This is one of the best haircuts I've ever had. In addition, Greg was great conversation and definitely reached out and connected on a personal level. I also had the Hangover treatment, highly recommended, felt amazing! Thank you Greg. read more

Fellow Barber is a great experience. I had Jeff cut my hair and I asked him for what I wanted, but wasn't really able to articulate it. It's always an intimidating process in finding that perfect barber when you are traveling; especially one that makes you feel like they can read your mind to best understand what kind of haircut you are looking for. And I always feel at ease at fellow barber because I know that any barber there can deliver amazing results! Oh and by the way, Ritchie at the New York Williamsburg location is on point!
