Highly recommend attending any of the several locations with Pastor Ed Young and staff. My favorite church in DFW.

Well I came during a "marriage series" which was ok but extremely stiff (coming from a married person). It was more like advice from the pastor and his wife's book, than a Biblical message. One of the best things I've learned from preachers is to make sure every sermon speaks to the person who's never gone to a church and may never go again. At the end of the service they did ask if there was anyone wanting to "take that step for the first time", but there was nothing in the sermon that would have encouraged them to do so. God was brought up maybe twice, so the sermon gets 2 stars, the 3rd star is for benefit of the doubt. Personally, I did not feel spiritually fed. Maybe just bad timing. *But nobody talked to us, even though we came early, so the sermon is all I have to go on. read more

Church has nothing to offer whether you are new or more spiritually experienced. New people will never get a sophisticated and in depth response to their questions. This church is more concerned with "saving" people through an impulsive confession of mouth instead of a thought out commitment and belief in scripture. You can not save people with a 5 minute conversation. True belief takes time and thoughtfulness. If you're not new, you will not learn anything or grow. You will not be fed spiritually. You will not go into depth with the scripture or learn anything about growing yourself and others around you. You will likely not even open your Bible here. Pastor also lives in a 3 million dollar house in absolute lavishness and excessive luxury. I would be willing to bet his "tithes" are investing in more church branches to which he profits more from. These are business investments to which you see financial returns, not biblical tithings and sacrifices. read more

More like a concert and not a personal experience. They bump the music where you can't even think. No kids allowed in the regular part of the chairs you have to sit in the way back where it's dark. My son made a "ah" noise at the guy talking on the screen and they Insisted on me sitting in the back. After I said " no thank you" they waited and pressured me to get off my third row seat to go to the back and I immediately left. If my son was crying and being extremely disruptive them I would agree to go out but he wasn't he simply said "ah" pointing at this man on the screenI most definitely will not go back to this church or recommend it. They speak nothing of the Bible. Everyone loves kids but they won't tolerate your child being a child. read more

Great church. We love Ed and all the other pastors. Our teenagers have grown up with the Dallas campus of fellowship and they always look forward to going. Ed relates today with the history of Bible. He is not old school but very direct. The music is great too. Your kids will love the Sunday school teachings. Never base your opinion on one service at any church. Give it a few months. You will either relate or need to find a better match. I have attended many churches over my life, but I knew this was the one after 3 weeks. It's kinda like friends - you either click or don't. Not a Bible based church. Had a few verses in the sermon used out of context to evoke feel good feelings. Amazing worship team. Probably all hired musicians that may or may not actually believe in the message. They have an amazing musical performance, but it didn't feel genuine. The pastor seemed to want to give a dumb down message, assuming that the congregation didn't have the intellectual capacity to handle anything deeper. My husband and I went here once over 5 years ago and we STILL talk about and laugh at how awful the experience was. This is not church. This is a money hungry organization that clearly profits on peoples generosity. As I am new to Dallas, I thought I would give this church a try. I felt very welcomed at first and the worship was great, but unfortunately that is where the good things stopped. The pastor seemed more concerned about selling his own book than preaching the word of The Lord, and he spent a lot of time bashing on marginalized communities instead of explaining how to love them as Christians. I am very sorry to say that this church is why people are so wary of Christians nowadays. read more

Finding the perfect church that speaks to you is extremely important and Fellowship Church has found a creative and forward thinking method to minister to both young and old. This is not your grandfather's Southern Baptist old fashion revival...this is a true 21st century, cutting edge non-denominational church, not afraid to use audio/visual media, social networking and technology to reach worshipers. Now you certainly can have all the technology in the world but still not have a message. This is where Fellowship is truly blessed to have Pastor Ed Young who not only knows how to craft and deliver the perfect message, but does it in a way that is meaningful and relevant to today's world. The church itself is a branch of the mega-church located in Grapevine Texas and has local pastors and staff starting things off. The main message is then beamed in (via satellite??) and shown on three huge high definition screens. Performances by the in house band are inspiring and rival any performance by bands in today's top 40. It is powerful, moving and helps to bring a youthful feeling to the church. The crowd at the downtown location is a mix of young and old, but is mostly comprised of 20-40 y.o. uptown/downtown dwellers. Everyone is always dressed well...ladies are wearing their uptown best, and guys dress to impress....but not too over the top. This is church not a club. If you've not found a church or your soul is looking for something better, I recommend checking this place out. At worst, its an hour you spend in a beautiful air conditioned environment with plenty of live music and positive thoughts. Highly recommended!! read more

I was looking forward to visiting this church. However, I was disappointed when I realized that the sermon is on a big screen, rather than delivered in person as in traditional churches. I guess this modern way of doing church is not for me. If I am going to travel a long way to watch the preacher on a screen, I might as well stay home and watch the sermon on TV in the comfort of my living room. I have to say though, to be fair, the ushers do an excellent job at making visitors feel welcome! High five to the amazing volunteers! God bless you! read more

If you go to church to be entertained and have a brisk service then this is the church for you. You would probably enjoy it because it starts and finishes almost as loud as a concert or dance club. The pastor is comfortable with marketing his books before or after and sometimes even during his presentation. I'm not sure it's a "sermon" because I'm not sure it's a "church". Pastor Ed Young put his Campuses all over the metroplex, mostly choosing affluent areas. You really don't need to bring your Bible with you because it doesn't get referenced very much. I'm giving it 4 stars because I am a Christian and it is a house of worship. I'm pretty sure. read more

A friend said it best, "I'm not one for organized religion but this is different." I cannot lie, I struggled with what I believed in for a long time and had a hard time figuring it out and definitley wasn't comfortable trying to do that in public by attending a church. The service started off singing mainstream music ("We Were Young" by Fun.) and had a message to not live a "cubby-hole" existance where everything is siloed and kept separate from each other. The pastor was pretty charismatic appealing to a younger crowd, I laughed and agreed with the message over and over again. I mean, a church that uses humor?! That's not the majority and you know it. I think my favorite part is when the pastor said that religion is both destructive and constructive, and that God doesn't destroy anything that He doesn't want to make better. It has taken me years to see this, the positive that came from the destruction. I love that they seem to promote that mainstream is okay, it seemed far less stuffy and controlling that any organized religion that I've experienced. I've been looking for a different type of spiritual experience that would speak to me and I believe I have found it. The Word is delivered in a contemporary and very real way without the message being sucked out of it. What pleases me the most is the culturally diverse congregation! In today's world where people seem to be have a robot-like response to worship, I like how this church and the members go out of their way to make newcomers feel welcome and to spread the word of God without it being an in-your-face experience. I've been twice and I'm excited about a third trip. Traditionalists may criticize some of the extras at the church like a coffee shop, book shop and the social media presence; but Ed Young has his finger on the pulse of the contemporary public. I don't knock him and his team for going the extra mile to deliver important messages to people who want to hear them delivered in a different way. read more

As a young single professional, I was looking for somewhere welcoming but wouldn't single or call you out when you walk in the door. Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is so uplifting. You can be as involved as you choose to be as they offer several different outlets to meet people and get connected if that's what you're looking for. The pastor, Ed Young, is so animated and charismatic and I've never enjoyed sermons more. The worship is fantastic and I am always amazed at the creativity and originality of the music. They use audio/visual media, social networking and technology to reach worshipers, which I thought I would find over-the-top, but I very much enjoy it and feel like it only adds to my experience there. There are all ages here and I can't stress enough the friendliness. Whether you are looking for a new church home to get involved in or you just want to hear a good service on Sunday, I recommend Fellowship Church. read more

Friendly but weird that they don't let you bring a water bottle into the sanctuary. First time visiting and they stopped my mom telling her she can't have her water bottle in the sanctuary. What if you need it for your health? It's cement floors too, what are we going to mess up with a water bottle. Pretty sure Jesus would let her have a water bottle. Love the energy at this location .. I've been to Calvary in Irving and watermark in north dallas. Both church's were just as great but I like that this one is much closer to where I stay .. I am so psyched about this because you get to see a fresh take on movies, as well as here a great message and combine that with popcorn! Great church if you're passing through Dallas on a Sunday. We were immediately greeted and welcomed, and offered a "welcome" bag. We were carrying a backpack and they don't allow those inside the auditorium (I respect the safety aspect!), so they offered to lock it in a staff cabinet or have the security guard watch it at the desk. The welcome bag included a coffee mug, a coupon for a free coffee at their expresso bar (reasonably priced and good coffee), a copy of the lead pastor's new book, and a coupon for 20% off a purchase at their chic bookstore - I bought a statement necklace which will always remind me of my Dallas trip. The sermon is a pre-recorded taping of Ed and his wife in a talk show type setting. While it did seem more like day-time television, it was a nice change of pace from my home church with the typical pastor preaching at the podium - it's important to mix it up! I encourage attendance for a unique experience that still focuses on the Word, but adds a little Dallas flair. read more

I think people should know what kind of reckless message the leaders of Fellowship Church are preaching. I have never walked out of a service before much less walked out only to meet a number of people in the parking lot that walked out for the same uncomfortable reasons. I am all for everyone having their opinion about same sex marriage and abortions but when the first 20 minutes of your service starts with how horrible our world is and how we are lost as human beings because of adultery, same sex marriage and abortion one starts to wonder if you came to hear a message from God or if you stepped into a political rally. This church claims to be nondenominational and welcoming for people from all walks of life no matter what their story but that was not the message sent. Even when talking to the church volunteers you are told "well at the end of the day we do still preach from the bible," pardon me but I don't recall reading the part of the bible that teaches hate and judgement I read the part about love, patience and understanding. It's even more disheartening when never once do you mention any scriptures only opinions. I am very disappointed with Fellowship and after reading many reviews about how the churches money funds a lavish lifestyle of the board and to later find out the the person giving this judge mental message sits on that same board, I have to be honest in saying I'm not interested in being apart of that circus. So I just moved to Texas and I need to find a new church and this is the first one I tried out. I'm writing this review in the cafe while the service is going on because my wife and myself already dislike this place. First. We walk to the gift shop and we realize that every item is priced like it's an amusement park. 100$ for a chair. It's more like a thrift shop. Second, they offer water and coffee right out side the door and as we walked in, they wouldn't let us bring it in so we had to hurry and finish our drinks. Third, we like to sit in the back because I have to use the restroom very often in a church, but we were not allowed to sit in the back rows because "they are reserved for late arrivals". And finally. This church is all about money. Before you even hear one word of God, they had passed out the offering and made a huge deal about it. You felt every eye gaze upon you when you don't put money in the bucket. Nothing about this church seamed real. This church is a resemblance of Jim jones. Drink the punch and die. Have you seen this mans home? The pastor lives in a 2.2 million dollar home and says you won't go to heaven if you don't put anything into offering. He said you might as well go home, that they don't want you here. I will never come back to this greedy church. read more
