We have always heard wonderful things about this church through a friend who used to be part of the church. We also heard about this church by their program called RE|GEN aka regenerationrecovery.org has launched several locations in our community. What a phenomenal program started by this church! It's life changing. Highly recommend for every human person to go through the powerful discipleship program! It's worth it! Life changing program for all who have sin struggles ::: that's everyone!! I went to this church a couple of days ago and needed to get to the East building. The building I entered was the main church entrance. There were a lot of people going in there that worked there and do you know not ONE PERSON smiled at me or said "Hi"??!! Shame on them. Not the type of church I would want to attend. read more

When we first walked into this church, I thought "this place is way too big, we'll just be a number here and the message & worship is probably watered down to cater to everyone". Boy was I wrong. Watermark preaches the uncompromising truth week after week, has deep and profound worship, and does a great job of making the place feel small and intimate. In addition to all this, the church is incredibly organized. There is always childcare on Sunday and even sometimes for events. There are also great programs and studies throughout the week as well as small groups to be involved in. This Church is definitely home for us. read more

Comprehensive Review Watermark has a large, well equipped building with two designated community spaces for gathering with groups or just hanging out. Many Gen Z and millennials attend this church. It has a fairly large staff (even considering it's size) which also seems to be mostly comprised of Gen Z and then millennials. Staff is overall helpful and genuinely tries to make people feel included in such a big church. There are many places to serve at Watermark (they have many community partners); they are equally mission minded and community oriented. The "community" part of Watermark Community Church is, in a word, intense (The membership process at Watermark is also quite thorough and maybe "stricter" than other comparable churches in its types of questions and formal admission process) A community group at Watermark consists of less than 5 or so people in your same age and demographic that are required to meet once a week and essentially keep each other accountable, confessing sins to each other and building each other up. Being in a consistent community group is a requirement for membership. Watermark claims "non-denominational", but is closer to a reformed/Baptist church, and cessationalist (believing that the spiritual gifts of tongues and prophecy ceased after the day of Pentecost in Acts). However, I have personally met continualists that attend Watermark. Watermark is quite detailed and transparent in presenting their "why" behind their "what". Go to a membership class and you'll get lots of questions answered. Overall I would say this: if you are looking for a spirit-filled, more charismatic non-denominational church, and a place you can jump in and serve at while you're trying it out, you might want to try another place. If you want a place that doesn't hold back when it comes to being accountable and vulnerable with community, that leans toward more traditional teachings, and that has a lot of young people and families, you might feel right at home here. This is just your typical mega church. I went to their youth service on Tuesday hoping to meet like minded people in Dallas, unfortunately my experience wasn't that great. The sermon and worship portions were pretty good and insightful, however, the actual church/networking experience is inexistent. First off....if a church needs to have "walmart greeters" when you come in telling you "Welcome to our church" and they're the only people who will actually greet you because, well , it's what they're there for, an alarm should go off. Usually church members WANT to get to know people coming in, ask about them, help them connect with others, etc, not here. You're thrown into this massive auditorium, watch the service and leave without 0 human connection. It felt empty and vague, you'd get more from just watching it from home if that's your thing. The search for a church that is actually understands what COMMUNITY is, goes on ... Conclusion: Don't go if you expect to meet anyone. Do go if you want to listen to a solid sermon. read more

I've been coming to this church for four years now and THIS PLACE is the reason I have such a strong relationship with God now!!! Thank you all so much for giving me knowledge about the Lord, His ways, and that He will accept me as long as I pursue him. I've never felt so much passion between people who just have a love for Christ and want to learn more about Him. So many lessons to learn from the Bible and all of the pastors do a great job of teaching them. So glad they are finally back open so I can visit while I'm in town!! There are churches I have felt something wrong and I left but it is not Godly like to go and post the harsh cult reviews that are said because you don't agree with certain things. I was a very active member of the same Southern Baptist church in Fort Worth for sixty years. Then my daughter invited me to attend Watermark Fort Worth with her. I was shocked at the difference! I knew that Watermark was different the moment I walked through the door. The people were so genuinely kind and friendly. The music was worshipful, not just entertaining. And the sermon was nothing like I was used to. Listen to me! The sermon was nothing like I was used to, and definitely not what I expected to hear from a church that is growing by leaps and bounds. I love this place! If you are looking for a Christian home this place is the best! It's a non denominational church! Tuesday nights are great for young singles. They also offer service on Saturday afternoon and several services on Sunday. Last but not least you can stream Sunday service online. Shane and Shane perform before most services! Pastor Todd and JP really speak to your hearts and most importantly this church loves and appreciates everyone! We actually read the Bible and are encouraged to join many of the community groups and to serve the community! Watermark has changed my husband's and my life! We took the premarital course here, MERGE, and are currently in community group for newly weds. I attended the evening Women's Bible study many years ago. It is the best Bible study that I have attended. The historical and cultural context was taught about the time the book of the Bible that we were studying to bring a full understanding of the lessons. I would attend this Bible study again. The church itself has many southern baptist traditions and doctrines. Also, the church as many churches has a focus on youth. As our population in the U.S. is more aged than a youth population, I am not sure what this dynamic will look like in the future for church populations. read more

This place is great! Pastor, staff, attendants, everything here is so wholesome. I do attending service here and it's been great, but I'll talk about this building more so about the Christian-related things. I love the architecture of this place. The scenery, atmosphere, and ambience here is so peaceful and relaxing. I like to go here during the weekdays to study, and there's even a coffee shop within the building. This place is open throughout the week. Has a lot of tables, chairs, and outlets for you to come by and study or relax. You can bring a group here to talk as well. It's an awesome church to come an attend, but the building offers so much more, that I wouldn't take this place for granted. read more

Watermark college ministry promised you didn't have to be a member to be in a community group 2015-2019). They recruit on university campuses and pretend they are "campus ministry." And then after a lot of college student started attending midweek - many of whom already ready have a home church on Sunday - they decided to make membership a requirement (Dec 2019). They moved Homebase from campus to the church building even though many students don't drive. This is after we asked if that would happen and they said no. When confronted about the switch and bait tactic - they owned it but didn't do the honest thing. Instead they said our community group could keep meeting, but unaffiliated with college ministry. So that's what we did. Not surprising: this church has a LONG history for kicking people out of things. If you have an 18 or 19 year old, protect them from what is described as cult like or cultish behavior. It's a place to go for fun parties and games, not for growing your faith or studying the Bible. Keep your home church. Don't get sucked in. I never joined the church and never will. Membership is how the spiritual abuse happens. If you don't join they can't control you. That's why my community group refused 3x. Further more, google their church in reference to racism and in reference to lawsuits. Seems like a money corp. read more

I visited mid 2017 so hopefully the spiritual growth in this church has evolved however here was my past review (edited due to misspelling). There does exist a line between religion and cult. God is LOVE. Anyone preaching less than love is not speaking of the God I serve. I came here as a visitor and some young pastor's entire message was centered around hating Muslims. Huh?!  Sir... Child... Fool... you need to revisit the god you claim to serve and know that whatever that is is certainly NOT the One and True God pf Abraham. You sir are lost, spreading hateful rhetoric is never my God. As I stood up to walk out of this deplorable display of shepherding clearly lost sheep into fields of propaganda, hate and misdirection I was only shocked, dismayed and frankly hurt that none of the thousands who attened even motioned to do the same. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to find a REAL church who emphasizes living authentically. This is a "no excuses" church which is refreshing in today's day and age. They do not demand perfection, but an acknowledgement to continue to strive for your best life by trusting and following Jesus. Their children's ministry is like nothing I've ever seen and my children get EXCITED to go to church. I highly recommend their mothers ministry (the NEST) as a great way to meet other biblically minded moms. I was born and raised Catholic and was still attending Catholic Church when I started to come to the NEST and was SO encouraged by the group of moms there. It took 2 years of just attending the NEST before I actually went to a Sunday service and was blown away! My husband and I made the switch immediately, got plugged in right away, and honestly have never been happier in our lives. Our marriage, our children, our friends, everything has benefitted and become sweeter since attending Watermark. read more

How do you really review a church without sounding like you're preaching or being overbearing?!?!.....Here goes nothing...... I come here every Sunday for the 11am service. I love hearing JP speak. Talk about an uptown party boy turned 360. I love hearing his stories and all of his sermons. You can relate to each one without feeling that weight of judgement. I'll still visit the church I grew up in for formal holidays but I'll continue to go to watermark every Sunday that I can. read more

We visited this very large church for the first time today. Since it is Easter, the parking was quite a problem, but I understand that it's usually not this tough. Probably, the parking is the only thing that I would say is a bit of a negative. I understand they're doing everything they can to try to make it easier however. The main minister is an excellent speaker, and the audio system is also excellent, so I was able to hear him very well. This is clearly a Bible centered church, so if you don't want to hear that, I think you will not be very comfortable here. However, if you believe the Bible, this is a great place for you. Everything about the message and everything about the entire church tells me that this is a bible-believing, gospel presenting Church. What a great testimony you're giving. My hat is off to the minister for delivering such a fantastic Easter message, centering on the resurrection of Jesus. It was very clear and a very powerful message. They have lots of friendly people around to greet you. There is lots of free coffee around for the worshippers on Sunday morning. However, I did not see any donuts at all! Come on Watermark get with it get out those free donuts! Of course, the song leaders are incredible! A young lady sang the famous song My Redeemer Lives, and it was absolutely heavenly! I don't know when I'll be back in this area again, but you folks are doing one tremendous job! Keep it up! read more

No they won't allow you to sit and stay in your sin and be comfortable practicing sin. People are loving. The gospel is preached. After three long years...and being faithful in Gods time and not my own.... God finally led me to my new Church Home. God has a sense of Humor. HE invented laughter and smiles and every breath I take. Yelp is a new passion so he used it to LEAD me to Watermark. WOW! Did Frank Lloyd Wright design this church? Futuristic yet nurturing with with warm woods and plenty of comfortable places to gather as groups or just a few friends. The lakes, bubbling fountains and gardens are God-deigned. I did not want to leave....and I almost didn't! But it's just a building. My new church home was everything and a million times more than I had asked for. Meaty, stick to your ribs services. Stand up and SING praises to God! I felt welcomed and at HOME the second my car hit the driveway and to the dedicated visitor parking. No one is a stranger here. I sat down with one new epic friend and in fifteen minutes there were five of us holding hands and praying to Our Father! This is even better than my new job which also took Christ Jesus My Lord And Savior to find. I asked for a cold french fry on that. God gave me the keys to the Bellagio Buffet. I LOVE BEING SPIRITUAL FED! Join us at this banquet of joy and salvation and feel God's loving and enduring mercy and abundant joy. I have been going to this church for some months now and it has been a great experience for me just getting closer to God. This church definitely TEACHES you about Christ and how you're supposed to have a relationship with him. I have several friends who attend this church, and have raved about it for years, so although I'm a member at a different church I thought I'd pay Watermark a visit! Not only is the church absolutely beautiful on the inside and out (like for real for real, I would come here just to sit outside with a cup of coffee and straight kick it) the sermons are full of wisdom and bible based. I've been to the church for their Saturday service. Both JP and Pastor Todd do an excellent job of going in depth with the word. Everyone is super duper friendly and down to earth. Anyone who is everyone could benefit from checking out this church. Parking was a breeze even though the congregation is massive! Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy what this wonderful place has to offer. You will be glad you did. read more

Review is for the Tree Fort. A friend of mine attends Watermark and told me about this epic Tree Fort, so we decided to meet there for our weekly catch up. My little man (1yr old) is not quite walking, but there was still plenty for him to do. An extremely welcoming environment for kids of all ages. I felt very comfortable leaving my stroller, with baby bag, parked to the side while we followed him all over the place. Even up at the top I felt very safe with him crawling around. After he had worn himself out, I put him in the stroller and my friend and I grabbed a coffee at Watermark's very own coffee shop and then headed outside to sit by the water while my little man napped. This Church is our new home. We've been a part of several Dallas bible churches and there are so many great communities to plug into. If you're looking for a Christian community that intentionally leads people towards a more honest and real relationship with Jesus Christ, through grace and TRUTH, Watermark is worth looking into. There are a few negative reviews by people upset with this community since Watermark is very intentional about getting people to turn away from their sins (LGBT, Adultery, Porn, etc) but obviously these reviews are from people looking for a church to fit their lifestyle. One reviewer even has a review for a gentleman's club... seriously?
