After a stop at the local playground we headed to Fenceline to check out the live music, on Fridays, cider and onsite food truck. The outside area was pretty packed but we found a seat on the tables in front of the food truck. I ordered the two pork taco special and the pastrami sandwich, pretty much a Ruben. For some reason they call all of their sandwiches tortas but I'm not sure why as the bread wasn't what you would expect on a torta. The kids got the grill cheese with nothing but cheese and enjoyed it. The pastrami sandwich was great and the tacos were nothing special. My wife picked us up a couple of ciders and they were enjoyable. I've had more ciders in this part of the country than I've ever had before, they seem to be common fare. The live music was enjoyable and the crowd seem entranced by the music. Fenceline is a solid spot for a cool drink and sandwich if you're in the area.

A nice casual place between Mesa Verde and Durango. Delicious ciders and good bar food from the trailer outside.

Cute, quaint little place to enjoy a glass of wine or hard cider while overlooking the river. It was a very peaceful afternoon. They had a food truck. I enjoyed a glass of their Red Blend. Our server was friendly. Next time I'm in town I would like to visit when they have live music.

We stopped here after a day of hiking. I was thrilled to learn it was the ciders we sampled at the Telluride farmers. The ciders are delicious and have unique flavors along with the traditional. The patio is right by a small river. Such a relaxing time on their patio. The music was good too. And service was friendly. Too bad my vacation is over tomorrow.

On my honeymoon, I wanted to seek out a new-to-me cidery in between the dozens (literally dozens) of brewery visits. Fenceline popped up on Yelp on our road trip in the middle of a small town called Mancos, so we decided it was time for a break from the drive. The cider garden is expansive, overlooks a petite river, and is pretty well shaded thanks to the large trees that cover the patio. We went up to the bar and spoke with Jordan, the very knowledgable bartender, who walked us through the ciders that were listed on the board outside. We couldn't decide on one, so we went for a flight of everything. They have eight on tap, plus cider slushies available. We grabbed a seat at the tall barrel table and went through the flight, trying out each one and saving our favorites for last. For us, that was a tie between the Pollinator and the Elderberry - both in the semi-sweet category, but there wasn't a single cider we didn't enjoy. One of the cider-makers came out and introduced himself which was an unexpected surprise - we love talking about fermentation with people. We ended up snagging a mixed four pack to take with us, and made sure to seek them out when we landed in Durango for our final stop of the road trip. Not sure if we'll make it back to Mancos, but luckily they have a cider finder on their website, and five bars and liquor stores have them available, so we'll be imbibing more shortly since the four pack disappeared very, very quickly.

    Perfect post Phils World interlude.

This is a great place to go after riding Phils world. They promote a lot of local talent as far as art and music, and provide great snacks that keep me going until dinner time back in Durango. You can tell this place is well thought out and is a labor of love for someone.

Nice place, friendly service, food truck, and a dog friendly patio on the river, a little slice of heaven in a sweet little town. They have a large selection of ciders and a small selection of excellent local wines. A really nice spot to relax and quaff a few beverages with friends and family.

Such a sweet spot in Mancos, and the ciders are all amazing! Great outdoor space by the river, awesome service, and friendly people.

The outdoor patio is right along the Mancos River, under choke-cherry trees, with enough shade & sun (if that's what you prefer)!

We had one tasting along with a pizza and charcuterie board. My husband enjoyed the wines and the food was great. We enjoyed the company of the dogs on the property, they were very friendly and quiet. The service was fantastic and genuine. I highly recommend coming by!

There are vines growing on a pergola, a wood fired oven out on the veranda area. We sat inside as the wind was quite strong that day. There were three in our party. Two of were looking to enjoy a tasting of red wines and one was interested in white wine. Brandon greeted us and spent some time getting to know our likes before we started trying wines. He also let us know about their pizzas, which sounded like it would be a good accompaniment to our activity. The specialty pizza for the day was marinara, cheese, pepperoni, salami and roasted green chile. We put in our order and continued our chat with Brandon. Between my husband and I, we tried their Malbec, Telluride Cab Sav, Merlot Signature, and the Dutton Family Reserve. My daughter, who prefers a white wine, tried their Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay and Amber Wine. The pizza went well with everything. We ended up getting bottles of three of our favorites. This was a lovely experience. I would like to plan ahead more next time and arrange for a tour.

We found Yellow Car thanks to the Harvest Host a program, which businesses welcomes RVers to stay overnight and check out their businesse. It's a better alternative to the Walmart parking lot. Living close to Fredericksburg, TX, the second most visited wine region in the US, we know wine but this place is entirely different. Don't expect a dry wine here! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a tasty wine slushy. We then moved on to a tasting, each of us choosing five pours (a lot of wine!), and we were definitely feeling the effects! While these wines aren't my usual style, we did find a couple of standouts: the Blueberry Hill and the Red Velvet, both delicious enough to take home. The owner Jim and his business partner, Susan, were very accommodating, making us feel right at home. We loved relaxing on the comfy sofa with Cabby, the cat, while sipping on these unique and sweet wines. It's a cozy, divey spot that's a lot of fun. We did try the nachos and zucchini sticks, which were okay, but if you're hungry, I'd recommend holding out for Wild Edge Brewery Collective for your meal. It's worth noting that Yellow Car doesn't engage with social media or reviews, which is a bit of a shame because they don't "mess with that stuff". Pointing out how nice their reviews were. Great Harvest Host destination. There were three RV's that overnighted all together. Yellow Cab gets a total of five stars in part due to the great overnight spot.

We each did a flight of five from what was available. I had the "My Morning Coffee, a "semi-sweet" from the selections of meads. It really did not have any sweetness at all and was quite dry. I tried the Choke Cherry Wine, Feel Better Berry, Baco Noir and Cabernet. Choke Cherry was tart without sweet. Feel Better Berry was cloying. Baco Noir was dry as was the Cabernet, which had a slightly astringent undertone. The ambiance is much more casual than a typical winery tasting room. Flights are served in plastic cups written on in sharpie. We were regaled with stories of the tasting room cat bringing its various conquests back into the building for the owner to find. I don't believe I would return for the products.
