I tried a few of their wines which were very good, but settled on a glass of Girls Are Meaner, which was a light white wine with great flavors. We ended up getting three bottles of wine to take home with us. They are going to be perfect for having at Christmas time and also when we want to relax. Talking with the ladies there they said that they do events in the summer with music outside. It's definitely a place where you can come relax and have some great wine with some great people.

Even though the town was covered in a new snow, Dustin made the Cidery warm and inviting. He took us through a tour of all 10 ciders and gave us the history of Fenceline. We have tasted most every cider in the Grand Valley and none were as delicious as any of the Fenceline ciders. Dustin not only gave us a tour of the ciders but talked with us about the Mancos area and introduced us to the power house women who get together there every Monday night! We found Yellow Car thanks to the Harvest Host a program, which businesses welcomes RVers to stay overnight and check out their businesse. It's a better alternative to the Walmart parking lot. Living close to Fredericksburg, TX, the second most visited wine region in the US, we know wine but this place is entirely different. Don't expect a dry wine here! Upon arrival, we were greeted with a tasty wine slushy. We then moved on to a tasting, each of us choosing five pours (a lot of wine!), and we were definitely feeling the effects! While these wines aren't my usual style, we did find a couple of standouts: the Blueberry Hill and the Red Velvet, both delicious enough to take home. The owner Jim and his business partner, Susan, were very accommodating, making us feel right at home. We loved relaxing on the comfy sofa with Cabby, the cat, while sipping on these unique and sweet wines. It's a cozy, divey spot that's a lot of fun. We did try the nachos and zucchini sticks, which were okay, but if you're hungry, I'd recommend holding out for Wild Edge Brewery Collective for your meal. It's worth noting that Yellow Car doesn't engage with social media or reviews, which is a bit of a shame because they don't "mess with that stuff". Pointing out how nice their reviews were. We each did a flight of five from what was available. I had the "My Morning Coffee, a "semi-sweet" from the selections of meads. It really did not have any sweetness at all and was quite dry. I tried the Choke Cherry Wine, Feel Better Berry, Baco Noir and Cabernet. Choke Cherry was tart without sweet. Feel Better Berry was cloying. Baco Noir was dry as was the Cabernet, which had a slightly astringent undertone. The ambiance is much more casual than a typical winery tasting room. Flights are served in plastic cups written on in sharpie. We were regaled with stories of the tasting room cat bringing its various conquests back into the building for the owner to find. I don't believe I would return for the products.
