Fenceworks really came thru for me in the clutch! Our company used them in the past put always had trouble with communication regarding specific things on projects. I was told I'd get a call back but didn't. Guy with Fenceworks reached out to the company I work for and said he was taking over old accounts...accounts he felt needed attention. I was impressed by his passion to want to serve general contractors so I gave him a project to bid on. We sold that job and hired Fenceworks for all the fencing and automated gates. They preformed the job impeccably, on time, and communicated on all levels. I will happily keep sending Fenceworks vid invites to all new projects! read more

Sadly, I also had a very unfortunate experience like many of the other yelp users. Miguel came out to measure my fence that needed to be replaced and assured me that he would call me back with an estimate within two days. He never did. I called three times the following week. No call back. I called again about month later and spoke to a really understanding, kind, and friendly receptionist who had Miguel call me back. He left me a message on my voicemail that clearly indicated he had confused me with someone else and then told me that they are not doing residential jobs at all, only commercial. It's unfortunate that he didn't tell me this before he took the time to come over and measure my fence. read more

This company installed partial fencing on a property before I purchased it. I reached out to them to add additional fencing OR just tell me what materials they used so I could have someone else do it, but have the material match. It's been two weeks of calling every day and nothing. LOL not even an offer of setting up an appointment to have someone come out! Seriously, it's like they hate money. Miguel, the owner, is total garbage. He's like if the DMV and customer support line for ATT had a baby. He accidentally took my call once, promised to call the next day, and then hasn't responded or been "available" since (5 days) to take my calls. The receptionist seems to have more of an idea of what's going on then anyone else here. I really hope she finds a new job where her intelligence won't be wasted on the people around her. read more

We received a phone call. My husband answered the phone and made an appointment for today between 12:00 and 12:30. It is now 2:30, no show and no call. That is ok though because we were able to get two other quotes and will go with one of those companies. As I was writing this review they called and said they were busy with year end inventory and was not able to give us a call to let us know he wasn't coming by and wants to reschedule for next week. I don't think we will call, I just couldn't handle the rejection again. read more

If there was less than 1 star, I would have selected it. On 5/8/23 I called Fenceworks in Santa Paula, asking for a quote to add a walk through gate in an existing chain link fence on a commercial property in Fillmore (12 miles from Fenceworks in Santa Paula). I spoke with Manuel Dorado, indicated to him what I needed, and that I would follow up with an email, with details, and so he could reply with the quote. Manuel let me know that he would go look at the site the following day, which was OK with me. I never received a reply to my email, or my follow up email on 5/12, and my phone calls went unanswered, and no return calls. Here we are on 6/6/23, and no quote, and no contact. Among other things at my company, I do estimating, quotes, and bids, and if I did business the way they do it, we would have no work, and I would have no job. I will never use Fenceworks, and I will be sure to share my experience with anyone I hear of that might want to call them. read more

RUN, DON'T WALK NEAR THIS COMPANY!!!! It took them over 4 months to put up one fence and just on two sides of my property. They consistently lie about when they will be there to complete the job. The constant delays forced us to keep our pets and children inside for over 4 months!!!! When did I complain the owner gave me such an attitude, saying the delay was due to the "lousy" redwood I ordered? He acted like he was doing me such a favor to build me a custom redwood fence. A fence which I paid top, top dollar for. The fence spacing on the different sides does not match. They also broke a main pool plumbing line digging a hole that was not even necessary. I wish Yelp offered negative rating stars so I could check the -10. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and pick any other fence company. read more

Commercial and residential need to avoid this business at all cost. Fenceworks installed a portion of my fence with vinyl fencing, which led to several neighbors replacing shared wooden fence. The biggest selling point was the lifetime warranty and the fact Fenceworks stated we could call them anytime to handle any issues that arise because of their "wonderful customer service". Shortly after the installation several lower rails began to sag, which caused a gap between the fence inserts and the top rail. Looking unsightly to begin with we found out that the gap was large enough to have the fence inserts blow into the neighbors yard during windy days. I called Fenceworks and was directed to Miguel who stated that they do not handle residential fencing. When I asked about the "lifetime warranty" and "wonderful customer service" he said he would honor the warranty and provide me with the materials, however, I would have to pick them up and have someone else install them. On two occasions I confirmed the pick up day and revised my schedule in order to pick up the materials. On both occasions I was told that no one knew anything about the situation. When I contacted Miguel he stated that he did not have the materials due to working on a big job, and, not being able to receive a shipment from his supplier. He told me to call back weekly to check on the status of his materials. Miguel has since become uncooperative and no longer returns calls. What an embarrassment Fenceworks is to allow Miguel to tell customers to find some other fence company to replace their defective materials and repair their incompetent installation. Fenceworks knew that vinyl fence sags yet did not install "stiffeners" on the lower rails during initial installation. Fenceworks has "no customer service" and will not honor the contract they sign with you. Find a company that is reputable! read more

Extremely poor customer service. It took 2 1/2 months from the time I emailed plans for a simple picket fence gate to get the product. When I emailed the plans it took 2 1/2 weeks to get a quote. I called over 15 times to talk to Johnny or Enrique and they would never call back with an answer when they said they would. I had to call repeatedly to get answers or to order it or to find out when it would be coming in. They never called me. Unless you have a lot of time to wait for fencing, don't use these guys. They only care about commercial projects. read more

Do not use fence works!!! I highly recommend to go elsewhere. The management and people in the office are very unprofessional. I am a homeowner in Paseo Del Mar in Ventura, CA. The HOA decided to go with this company, what a poor decision. This goes to show, you get what you pay for. We had Fenceworks remove our old back and side yards of 220 lineal feet of fencing, then replaced with a 6 foot vinyl privacy fence. We were very pleased with Fenceworks, from the installers on the job, to sales and office staff who were professional in attitude, workmanship and overall conduct for entire process. Plus we were very happy that our vinyl fence was competitively priced compared to a wood fence, and with our vinyl fence we get the added benefit of the low maintenance of vinyl, with"no more painting". We just had a fence installed by Fenceworks and it was a smooth experience from start to finish. The project was time sensitive as we we needed the fence done quickly to pass county pool inspection. We got the estimate quickly and they were able to recommended a more cost efficient option that we hadn't considered. John was very familiar with fencing requirements for pools and it turned out great. I would recommend them highly. read more
