We recently had a lot of work done (6 different contractors) to the outside of our 1987 house; cutting back large trees, power washing of the tiled roof, softer washing of the good-condition stucco, treating or replacing termite-damaged exposed rafters, soffits and fascia. Also tore down termite-damaged wooden pergola over the patio, to be replaced with new (pre-painted) aluminum one. Replaced garage's cheap wooden side door with new-standard metal one. So, lots of stuff that needed painting! Juan and his crew are very high quality painters that repaired and thoroughly prepared water-damaged and new and old fascia and soffits using high quality materials. He also did a perfect job using color-matched paint for parts of the stucco that became exposed after old gutters and downspouts had been taken down and before new gutter downspouts were installed. He painted our front door, found and installed new hardware, and went out of his way to redo all weather stripping and threshold sealing until it was perfect; problems the already existed with the door. After the response on my last review where he actually gave me "advice" for not expecting to get a my charger back or the work he was paid to finish, I had to offer my own advise: - Don't take jobs you can't finish - Don't quote a job being done in a few days when it is going to take more than a few weeks. - Don't ask for cash before the job is finished because you don't have capital to pay your workers. - Don't quote a price if you are not experienced enough to know what the job will cost in total. Nobody likes a nickel and dimer. - Charge your price on the quality of the work you are capable of because if the work looks terrible after a few months, you will see more feedback like this review. After he took the money and failed to finish the final job, I realized what kind of "professional" this was. My local law enforcement, Homeowners Association, and neighbors know of this con-man if he or his workers so much as shows up in my neighborhood , they can expect to be arrested for scamming me of thousands of dollars. read more

Wow. What an honor to be the first Yelp review on Juan's page. I called Juan after having a pretty awful experience with another painting company (lack of communication, booking issues). Juan was responsive, gave an estimate based off pictures and square footage, and showed up the next morning to look over the project in person. It was apparent that he had an eye for detail as he looked over our home and helped identify the areas that needed work. He wrote up an estimate that beat out any bids we'd had, and said he could start Monday. Over the weekend Juan was responsive to texts regarding colors, types of paint, and other issues relating to the job. Throughout the week Juan brought his brothers, Hugo and Reuben, out to help and all three of these painting brothers were kind and thoughtful as we navigated working from home while they worked in our home! Juan had an attention to detail that was unparalleled (he told me sometimes the details "keep him up at night"). He noticed areas that needed patching, new vents, and other specific touches that contributed to the perfect paint job. We have double entry wooden doors that have to be refinished every few years. It had been more than a few years and I was asking about a longer lasting fining. Juan spent his time researching the best products to use and the steps to accomplish the job. Juan spent the time needed to do the job as recommended. He completed each step and allowed the time in between to dry properly. After the initial sanding he found several cracks that had to be filled. As I said earlier, we waited too long since the last time these doors were finished. His refilling added time to the job and he finished the extra work beautifully! This job took a few days and the site was cleaned at the end of each day. He kept in contact about when he would be back and what would be done next. Less than 10% down payment was requested to start job. This was not his usual house painting. It was refinishing the double front doors.
