Finally got to try Flippers. The small pizza and salad offer is what got me there. It is a seat yourself establishment wiith waitress staff. They have booths and tables. Its a very comfortable restaurant. I ordered the small pizza and you get the option of 5 toppings along with a caesar of Italian salad. I was going to go with Caesar but the waitress recommended the Italian so I said ok. My better half ordered smashed meatball sandwich which is served on a pizza crust just folded in half. It was good but I wish they stated it was in a pizza crust. Hubby loved it so no big deal. Here's what happened. While cutting the caesar salad (although I ordered Italian) a waitress said oh I gave you the wrong pizza. I said well you can't serve it now. She handed me my pizza and I kept the mistake pizza too. Mistakes happen so no big deal but I would not want to be served a pizza that was given to someone else. Anyways pizza is top notch!! We will totally go again and try the full size pizza. We wish they were in Brownwood Square because having a pizza while hanging out in the square would be great! read more

Visiting from Alabama and when your Chicago friend says she knows a great pizza place you just trust the expert! She grabbed Flippers Pizza on her way over and even after our drive it was still hot and absolutely delicious. The crust was just right, the toppings generous and every bite tasted fresh. Well, I'd have to say probably some of the best pizza here in the villages all the ingredients for fresh. The place was very clean. The waitresses were super accommodating when I went from a to go order to a dine in order. Definitely highly recommend and I will be coming back. read more

Was worried at first. We sat and waited about 5 minutes for a waitress, she came and took drink orders without menus. We ordered beer and water, came quickly then menus. We ordered the $11 special , salad and pizza. They told us it would be 30-40 , the pizza came within 15 minutes . Pizza was fantastic!! The Italian salad was good and plentiful. The Caesar salad was quite small and was half the amount of lettuce as the Italian salad. I would recommend this Flippers!! read more

I gave flippers at this location in A+ for its pizza. This culinary endeavor is such a hard thing to come by in this area. The area itself just leave so much to be desired and I could probably guess 1 million reasons why. Yet, I am Always nicely surprised when I find a place like this. A friend of mine had ordered it one day along with a Mediterranean salad and they were both delicious so I returned only to find that the pizza was just as good and they were all out of the Mediterranean salad (if that speaks to how good it is). I wasn't looking for much ambience just a really good slice of pizza and Flippers didn't disappoint. The waiter was also very personable and the atmosphere was casual. I will return. read more

First and foremost I'd like to say the food was excellent. But the cooks are incredibly rude. Visited there today as soon as my food hit the table a employee yells from the area where pizza is being made "cash out table 3" myself And my husband are located at table 3. Again he repeats cash out table 3 every 5 minutes for the next 25 minutes. I finally asked For a box for my food so i could leave and they could cash me out. I'm unsure as to why i was asked to pay my check 5 times when others in the restaurant weren't told at any time to be cashed out. did you guys think we're going to run out of the restaurant? I was very offended when leaving this restaurant i hadn't even eaten any of my meal before making me feel like i wasn't wanted there. Maybe this employee should learn how to use his inside voice? Maddy was our server and she was wonderful. I had the artisan lunch which consisted of a mini pie (9") and half Italian salad. Why don't they fry anything in Florida?!? Pizza was very good, Garlic Knots were good, wings, not so much. The flavor of the wings was pretty good, but zero crispness. Would definitely have their pizza again, probably garlic knots, but would pass on the wings. Did get it quicker than expected, so the service was good. read more

Had a family "pizza party" at the Flippers Pizza near Brownwood in the villages. My 1st time, while everyone else had been before. We started with garlic bites which were warm, soft and covered in garlic, oil and cheese. Yummy. Most ordered pizzas and I did a sandwich. Each pizza was done to each individuals likes / dislikes. Most had pepperoni and 1 did veggie. All said they were good. Sandwich was roasted veg on focaccia and I was disappointed. The focaccia had rosemary and nice flavor. The disappointment was less than 1/2 the veg filling was the "roasted vegs" (more likely sautéed) and the majority of filling was salad greens. Most tables and booths are set up for 4 or less, when we arrived it was not busy so we pushed 2 tables together for our group. Room became very noisy as more diners arrived which made conversation tough. Large parking lot outside, including Village golf carts ( a village idiot parked so close to my car I couldn't open my door properly out of concern of banging cart). read more

We went here for dinner, and it wasn't that crowded, but we waited FOREVER for our food. When it finally came, they were missing one of the three items we ordered. They never came to refill our waters. Maybe they were understaffed, I don't know. They did comp our missing pizza. We were so hungry by that point that we couldn't wait any longer, so we shared the food we got and took the missing pizza to go when it came out later. Great food. The cheese bread was amazing as an appetizer. The Cesar was a great salad. The brick fired pizza was great. My wife and I split a 16" which was too much food. We took home half a pizza. They allowed us to split the toppings and did a 50/50 Quattro formation and All meat. The toppings were fresh and the e cheese was never ending. Loved it. If we lived here we would order regularly.
