I wish I could give 10/5 stars, but I'll wait until after my dog's surgery to update. . Today was my first visit to Fenton River. My dog tore his ACL a week and a half ago. I spent all last week on the phone with tons of vets in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Nobody could even see him for a consult until October. My husband and I are small business owners and I mentioned it to one of our employees. He had ACL surgery done on his dog at Fenton River and highly recommended them. I still called all over the place because at that point I was looking to get him into whatever place would take him first so we could start on recovery and put this behind us. I had already booked an appointment and a tentative surgery with Fenton Hill but continued to call others. I believe that fate brought us to Fenton Hill, along with a little help from Saint Francis! Our consult appointment was today, (still the earliest time of all the phone calls). Although it took us almost an hour to get there, I am so at peace now. I love, love, love this practice so far! We were greeted kindly and professionally, from the start. Checking in took a nano-second. We were brought right into an exam room, and waited a very short time to meet Dr. Heidi Morey. She introduced herself immediately, examined our dog, confirmed the torn acl and explained our options clearly. She answered all of our questions and took all the time we needed to answer our questions and concerns. I am thrilled with the visit, Dr Morey, and the rest of the staff!! As I told our son, who lives out of state, "I hope she walks the walk because she certainly talks the talk." He too is feeling a huge sense of relief based on what I told him about her and what the plan is. I'll update, as I said, after his surgery. He's a big dog and I know he will have a lengthy recovery time, but I feel totally comfortable with our decision and with leaving our beloved Tucker in the care of this facility for his surgery.

My husband and I were visiting the area and needed to seek emergency care for our chihuahua. From the initial phone call booking the appointment to the interaction with clinical staff went exceptionally well. The entire office is extremely kind and empathetic. Kristin the vet tech took her time and listened patiently to our concerns. Asked appropriate questions and relayed all info to the vet. From the moment Dr. Morey walked into the room I felt relieved. She's smart but conveys info in a manner someone non clinical can understand. Our little baby is doing great. All thanks to their fantastic team. Definitely recommend!

We recently brought our precious Bichon, Phoebe to Fenton River Vet in Tolland, CT for a 2nd opinion. The vet took x-rays and complete bloodwork to find that our baby girl was very sick. We brought her home in the hopes that she would get better with medications that were prescribed. Five days later, we brought Phoebe back to Fenton River because she was failing quickly. Dr. Samantha Francis and Kate the technician were so very kind, caring and compassionate to my husband and I during this painful time we were going through during the process of having our baby girl put to sleep. The two receptionists were kind, caring and compassionate as well. Fenton River Vet is immaculate unlike the "factory" that we were bringing Phoebe prior to that.

I went in for my ferret and it seemed like they know about them, a lot of places in my area don't take in ferrets. They seemed like they care. Handled my Loki bear with care. Really nice beautiful place, looks like a pet spa(Stamford springs). Front desk nice, vet techs nice, doctors nice.

Neglected extreme weight loss in my cat. She's dead now. Only 1.5 years old. Didn't do blood work until her kidneys were already failing.

Morey now sees her via home visits, given her aversion to going to the vets office, after so many bad memories.

I have observed countless positive attributes as to her approach to her work, which most definitely contributes to this field of practice. Dr. Roy has an incredible ability to treat a variety of conditions that our animals have had over the years. Some of the diverse health conditions that she has treated include poly arthritis, ACL tears, kidney failure, heart sarcoma, unusual tongue tumor (calcinosis circumscripta), IBS disease and more. She is wonderful at explaining and treating these unusual conditions while bringing a sense of calm and understanding to each medical situation. It makes all of the difference as to how she communicates with us about our animal's conditions. She truly listens and gathers information about the vast array of symptoms that our pets have. She works with us to figure out what steps to take next and provides follow-up assistance to be certain that our pets are responding well to treatments. Dr. Roy goes above and beyond in the medical care of our pets. For example, we currently have a chorkie that came to us as a puppy with several unique medical conditions. Over the course of almost 9 years, Dr. Roy has used her expertise and skill set to treat these various diseases and genetic health problems that our chorkie has in order to help her to thrive. I am certain that it is because of Dr. Roy that our chorkie is alive and well today, and for that we are so thankful! In summary, Dr. Roy helps pave the way for all of our pets to have the best health possible. She helps us find the best way to meet the needs of each of our pet's health conditions for every stage of their lives. She consistently meets the challenge of helping us care for even our most high-need pets with fragile health conditions so that they may have a good quality of life. We feel very fortunate to have Dr. Roy as our veterinarian and we are so grateful for all that she has done for our pets! Sincerely, The Francis Family
