I used to love it here but I had a really bad experience recently. I walked in and asked for a coffee with citrus in it...my husband had remembered a drink he ordered there and asked me for it and that was the best way I knew how to say it. The lady behind the counter (middle-age, petite, long brown ponytail under a hat) scrunched up her nose at me and said..."we have lavender...that's the closest thing we have to citrus." She looked at me like I had two heads, but we went back and looked at old menus and saw it on there. It was an espresso with orange juice. Anyways, I changed the order and asked for a brown sugar cinnamon latte instead and when I asked her what kind of oat milk they had, she just gave me a look and said "the expensive kind." Then I tried to gently explain that I needed to know because my husband is super sensitive to gluten and sometimes oat milk has gluten and she all but rolled her eyes and said "our entire facility is gluten free." I get that...but no need to be snide about it! I was wearing sunglasses because I had been crying about some bad news I had gotten on the way to the shop and her mean attitude made me feel so much worse. There were a couple people in line behind me while she was making my latte and a sweet teenager walked behind the counter and said, "can I help who's next?" And I said "oh actually I wanted to order a cookie as well" and the lady practically yelled "I'LL GET TO YOU." and told the teen to help the other people, even though they weren't ready to order yet and were just standing there when I was ready and knew what I wanted. Then I asked for a lemon cookie and she tried to upsell me something else and I said no thank you. I was also having a tough time standing for long periods of time that day due to chronic illness and her making me wait made it worse....just abysmal customer service. I don't know if I freaked her out by keeping my sunglasses on inside or what but it felt very personal and I'm disappointed. And that lemon cookie was the worst thing I have eaten there by far. Very dry. Do better! EDIT: response to the owner: No, Michele is not always nice. You just missed it. Please see the attached picture for proof of the citrus coffee drink I was referencing. Very disappointed in my experience there and your dismissive response that somehow puts the blame back on my "bad day." Will not be back. read more

I'm only giving 1 star because I must in order to leave a review. I have been a regular customer here for 4+ years. I go in on a regular basis for coffee, cookies, pastries, etc. I've moved out of the area 3 months ago, but when I'm back, I always run in for a coffee. No different today. Never coming back here again. I'm stunned at the rudeness from their typically pleasant staff. I was having a coffee and brownie, my husband came in to get our car keys and to let me know he had his pizza (in a box) and we were ready to go. The counter people verbally jumped on him instantly. It was inappropriate, rude, and completely uncalled for! We had no intention of staying, AND if any patron did mistakenly think they could walk in the store carrying a purchase from another retailer, the staff could absolute convey that message in an infinitely more appropriate manner. This had been a regular stop for me. Never again. To the owner: your staff should be taught basic common courtesy! Coffee and brownie came to $12.02 and I left a $2.00 tip. My husband comes in the door with a small pizza box, and puts it on my table so he can pick up our keys. The kids behind the counter in an extremely nasty, rude voice started saying loudly, 'NO! NO! YOU HAVE TO LEAVE!' So presumptuous and so rude! We had no intention of staying! And their tone with us...we are probably 55 years older than the kids who work there. I just cannot get over it! I have spent tons of $$$ in that shop, given them glowing reviews, AND we weren't intending to break any of their rules. They were SO rude! I'm stunned! read more

My FAVORITE bakery in the triangle (ish). A short drive from Raleigh and the place to be for gluten free people. I have been here multiple times but have never left a review.. til now. The ambiance is great, counter culture coffee and gluten free heaven. I always get the chocolate eclairs and occasionally a cupcake. The brownies are delish too. Give it a try - time and time again!! 5 STARS!!!!!! Ps. This is a gluten free bakery. If you are non gluten free, congrats. Some of us don't have that luxury. So, thank you Fera'wyn's for being you! Cute little dessert or date spot OR treat yo self. The selection is pretty good and then they have lots of custom things which is cool. The smell upon walking through the door is amazing and I'm pretty sure they could charge admission for a sniff of whatever it was that was baking. We got a latte and some of the chocolates. The salted caramel was my favorite but the peanut butter was a close second. They had a cool dinosaur egg that I really want for my birthday lol. Such a cute little place! Holly Springs has a chocolate shop, welcome Fera'wyn's! I stopped in during their soft opening today and grabbed 4 chocolates for $10- the bourbon, limoncello, bananas foster and simply dark. They will also be selling baked goods; however, their oven decided to fail them on opening day. That was unfortunate. It's hard to pick a favorite as they were all so tasty but if I had to choose it would be the limoncello. I can't wait to check out all of the other goodies. read more

My friend got me a box of chocolate chip sandwiches for a Christmas present and OH MY GOODNESS. I'm obsessed. Soooo good. It's good cold. And it's even good warm. I missed the opening day to try their cocoa and coffee yesterday but today, I got to go. At the first look of the place, I recognized where Sub-zero used to be so I wasn't expecting much inside. However, it was gorgeous inside. It was classy and not cluttered. There ar few tables so patrons can have a little gathering if they wishes too. I am reviewing this place based on my current condition, pregnant so no liquor, and what I experienced today. The menu is located to your right, opposite the counter. My first reaction towards the price is, why too expense? There is a good answer! She uses French chocolate and it takes a long time to make truffles. I know from experience that it normally takes at least two days to make some. It's very labour intensive. Also, have you seen the gloss and design of their chocolate? They are absolutely gorgeous. The taste of the truffle is spot on! I had the dark flower truffle. It is not overbearing with sugar, it is very satisfying. The ganache is silky and very decadent but not overly rich that it chokes you. I got a bar that I think my teacher will love. Also, if you are suffering from gluten, this is the best place for you when it comes to chocolate since the owner has celiac. All of her products are GF. However, if you do have a nut or tree nut allergy, this is not a place where you'd lick the counter or table. They do make truffles with nuts or tree nut. If you are looking for something made local with excellent quality ingredient in Holly Springs, you have found it! Next time, I'll need to try the coffee or lattes. Right now they have egg nog if you like that kind of drink. ;) read more

I've had this place bookmarked for a while now and finally got around to trying it when I realized it was in the same plaza as the UPS store. I walked in and unfortunately with two people behind the counter, no one greeted me. I walked up and said hi while I glanced at their offerings. It was the end of the day so I wasn't sure if that's why the selection was slim. I decided on a 4 pack muffin and a few eclairs. They were all good but I wouldn't go out of my way for them. I do appreciate that everything is gluten free for those who need it. I was turned off by the service from walking in to leaving and felt like the guys didn't want to be there or bothered by customers. The woman who appeared to be the owner was on her way out while carrying a convo with the employee assisting me (she wasn't happy about something). My family was so disappointed today ( Mother's Day 5/10/2020) when they bit into their cupcakes and cake pop. They complained about how dry the cake pop was and how tasteless the cupcakes were. I ordered half a dozen cupcakes , and two cake pops -$28 down the drain. Walmart makes better cupcakes , on their worst day. Also , Grub hub & Fera'wyn's Artisans Chocolate - it would be helpful for the restaurant to list their ingredients for each product, and if the restaurant is gluten free or kosher. I also ordered the 9 piece chocolates , which was okay. However, there wasn't any description of what chocolate that you were eating. It would be helpful if that was included. We usually have a good experience here, but today, the staff members were quite rude. They kept rushing us. We probably would've ordered more if they hadn't done so. Also, one of the men said what I consider to be profanity in front of my child. I would suggest wearing gloves to get orders out of the case as well. Brand new chocolatier in Holly springs that will also sell baked goods and also has coffee drinks. I stopped in recently to check them out. Their chocolates look like works of art and are bite sized. I tried the mint, peppermint bark and dark chocolate. They were delicious. It was $10 for 4 pieces of chocolate maybe the size of a silver dollar. They would be good to give as a unique gift. This place is great, to my knowledge it's the only place where you can find vegan and gluten free desserts, and guess what... the food is amazing! We've tried literally every vegan-gluten free thing they make here - all wonderful and I'd challenge anyone to tell the desserts weren't gluten free. Stopped in and had a negative experience with the staff person on duty... asked for my drink, was told they could do it iced "if we have to," then he made it hot in a hot cup (steamed and everything) so I said well nevermind on that... then he said "I'll just add a lot of ice!" ... well, then it's watered down, friend... no, thanks. Just wanted a coffee and hopefully chocolate, but I wasn't going to pay $3 for one small piece. Then at checkout I got a diatribe on how I inserted my card incorrectly, yet it worked, when I said "well it's working" he said "oh you must of gotten lucky it's a special card" Or I can read how to insert my card? Really awkward. The coffee itself tasted overroasted or overbrewed so I didn't get to enjoy it anyway. Super sad. read more

The shop inside is really beautiful. The interior gets 5 stars. The selection of baked goods is small, however, the owner has stated that will soon expand. I've been twice and tried both baked goods and chocolates. I thought the baked goods were a little on the dry side but my younger kids loved the cupcakes and cookies they had. I don't know that I would try the baked goods again. The truffles are very pretty and the flavors are good, however, they are not the best chocolates I've had. They are also very expensive, so not sure I'd get them for a normal chocolate fix. I do think the chocolates would be great as a gift, when one is open to spending a bit more. I've yet to try their coffee, but I'm looking forward to trying. My son had their hot chocolate and he really enjoyed it. I also love the passion and creativity behind the store's origins and I appreciate that everything is made in-house. I'm giving a lower rating because the items are too pricy for average/above average taste of the baked goods and chocolates. Children will probably love their products, a foodie might not. read more

This place is wonderful! Delicious desserts and I love that they have gluten free options. Cute atmosphere, too, but a bit pricey. Admittedly their treats are delicate and delicious and hand crafted, but just a little more than I wanna spend on small treats on the regular. Nice people, too, just saw a couple uncomfortable interactions behind the register both times I went. Hopefully they'll get the new shop kinks out of the way and the staff chemistry will improve. read more

This place is awesome! I have celiac disease and a bit of lactose intolerance. The whole place is gluten free! And they have a decent amount of vegan chocolates.
