This brewery does everything right. The Greenwich site is relatively small (I counted about 20…read moreseats) and charming, the staff are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the prices for the pours and flights are very reasonable. Unfortunately, after sampling a good mix, I could not find a single brew that pleased my palate. I got a flight with a sour, the red ale, a brown ale, and a stout. Nothing distinguished itself to me. That will happen sometime, everyone has different tastes. But based on the fact that this place was constantly full the entire time I was there, and the service everyone received, the beers and the taproom are quite popular. So it's definitely worth checking out. Perhaps if I visit again I'll find beer(s) more to my liking.

Argyle Brewery is your typical hometown brewery/taphouse in downtown Greenwich of all places. We…read morehad previously been to their now closed site in Cambridge and thought it was a good time to stop in to their brewery location and taphouse in Greenwich. The facility is quite small as a bar area where you could sit three or four people and a couple of tables that each could host about four people per table- no more than 16 or 18 seats in the facility. They don't have food, but they will give you pretzels and peanuts on the house which is a nice touch considering there isn't another brewery in the region that does this. Beer is very good no complaints. We tried their stout and one of their clear IPA's, and they were both great. Looking forward to our return.

What's on tap probably changes frequently here. I had checked their list on their website a couple of days earlier, and either the site was a little old, or beers had already changed. There wasn't anything on the current list that matched my regular preferences, so I had the opportunity to select something out of my "zone." I opted for Rosalie, a mixed culture saison. It was very crisp and refreshing, with a prominent but not overwhelming floral palate. Food options are limited to popcorn and snacks plus whatever food truck might be there, so check their calendar of events for that. Also, payment in cash will be 50 cents cheaper per pour than paying by credit.

They had several different types of beers on tap. I ended up trying the Mexican Lager called Campo Libre and my boyfriend had the Spinning Jenny Pale Ale. Both were so refreshing! We grabbed seats next to one of their fire pits and enjoyed music from a local band. They had a wood fired pizza food truck and though we didn't try it, it was a great option for everyone. I highly recommend the brewery to anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy a great brew!

The music, all the art on the walls and overall vibe was very fun and family-friendly. The staff was friendly and upbeat. We ordered a couple of drinks; the Gangster Scientist (a beer my husband was very pleased with!) and a Hibiscus Paloma which I thought was very good as well. For food we got the Smash Burger and the Chicken Sandwich! Both which came with fries. We both rate the fries 10/10!! Battered, seasoned and crispy pretty much perfectly. The burger was delicious, although pretty messy (that's good or bad depending on opinion lol) The chicken sandwich had great flavor, but I thought could have used more sauce as it felt kind of dry. I give it a 7/10, it was good but I probably wouldn't order it again and try something else. But overall we were very pleased with our experience and we can't wait to go there again!
