She put in my order ($50 cake) and when I arrived on the day my order was ready. I ordered this cake for a birthday that's immediately after Christmas and I had a hard time finding a bakery that could provide this type of cheesecake (raspberry) under these conditions, so I was very impressed at the professionalism and availability. But then the woman at the counter tried to charge me $75 for my cake even though the ticket taped on the box said in big sharpie letters "my name, $50" $75 vs $50 is a very big difference in price for an 8" single layer cheesecake. I corrected her and she asked me to wait for someone to show up to confirm the price.... But I didn't see her confer with anyone and again the price was written on the order ticket. After waiting about 5min she was ready to take my payment and said $50 was okay but didn't apologize or explain the confusion as to why she tried to charge me more. That doesn't feel good, if it was a "mix-up" then just tell me so I can make an informed decision next time. With no explanation provided it doesn't feel like a "mix-up" or even honest. The cake tastes really great, I love the people who helped me on the phone, I love that this bakery was available and flexible, and clearly they are very popular and well-loved. I have no idea if I'd come back though. I see another reviewer saying that they didn't receive the correct change. I don't understand why such beautiful high quality confections need to have this weirdness attached.

He gave us a sample of a broken cookie, told us about the family business and warmly welcomed us to Cleveland. The cookies all have a peanut butter base, but the peanut flavor is subtle and not overpowering. I considered the chocolate chip to be the ideal size, texture and amount of chips. My favorite was the chocolate chip with salted caramel. $20 for a bakers dozen is money well spent!

This happened on a hot Friday afternoon after school was out--exactly the kind of time when you would expect an ice cream shop to be prepared for customers. There were about seven people waiting in line, all separate parties, and only one employee working the front counter. After waiting approximately 15 minutes, I asked whether any additional help was available. The employee went to the back to ask for assistance. Reese came to the front, but instead of helping serve customers, apologizing for the wait, or even putting a scoop of ice cream in a cup, he explained that he couldn't help because he was making ice cream in the back. What I found frustrating is that he had enough time to walk up front and have a conversation, but apparently not enough time to help reduce the line. On a slow Tuesday, maybe that's one thing. On a hot Friday afternoon with customers waiting and school out, it seems like exactly the wrong time to prioritize making more ice cream over serving the people who are already there trying to buy it. Waiting can be understandable. Being made to feel like your time doesn't matter is not. I ended up leaving without ordering. There are too many places that appreciate their customers for me to spend my money somewhere that doesn't. As for the ice cream, I never got the chance to try it. Based on the service alone, I'll be getting my desserts elsewhere.
