The setting reminds me of a country style kitchen that serves everything with sweet tea. The staff was soooo friendly and inviting. The pizza was a shocker!!! We didn't expect it to taste SOOOOO AMAZING!!! The sauce was flavorful, veggies super fresh, basil cooked in and not on top( is the best way to eat it), and the crust was soooooo soft and the right amount of char. Cute little family owned spot just outside of Oxford. Plenty of space to park. They have seating both inside and on their patio out front. Wide variety of traditional wood fired pizzas, some bakery items and beverages. I had a pepperoni pizza which was very good! We liked this place a lot, especially sitting out on the deck with our BYOB wine and beer. Order inside at the counter and then as another reviewer has indicated, pizzas will be delivered to your table as ready. At our table of 3, there was only a couple of minutes between pizza arrival times. The pizzas were delicious; I had a Barnyard and both my wife and son had a build your own. Excellent crust on both regular and GF. I had to deduct a star, however, because I emphasized to the person who took our order that my wife had to have the tomato sauce not the marinara because of a garlic/onion allergy. But when they brought out her pizza they said, "And here's your marinara." I'm glad they named what they were bringing, but it could very easily have resulted in my wife having a bad reaction. Fergndan's has some of the best pizzas you can get. They're as good as anybody else's, but the crust, if you specify it, is made out of cauliflower. I'm gonna tell you I cannot tell the difference between a cauliflower crust and a regular flour crust, except the calories. The majority of the calories that come from pizza are in the crust. And if you can get rid of those, you can eat a lot more pizza. And as a Type 1 diabetic, it really helps maintain a steady blood sugar. read more

There crust is one of the best I have had, I eat every piece which is not normal for me and pizza. #NoCrustLeftBehind. I enjoyed it all the flavors we purchased, and while the crust is some of the best, the toppings are never super hot, the cheese doesn't really bubble, thankfully, it wasn't as cold as last time. If you want a great wood fired pizza this is the place for you. It sits in a rustic old house (that's what it looked like and I don't know the actual history of the building). It is operated by a local family. It looked like a lot of locals eat lunch here which is always a good sign. Everyone was so friendly and came around checking on everyone. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day. The pizza came out in about 5 minutes and was hot and fresh. It was truly wood fired and had a great crust. I had the barnyard and added Buffalo sauce. We are from out of town and tried Fergndan's at lunch. It was nice sitting on the shady porch and the pizza was served very quickly. However, my husband and I did not care for the pizza. It was very tasteless. It lacked red sauce and the little sauce on it was not very tasty. When we walked in, there were about 6 employees and no one welcomed us. We left downtown Oxford in search of some quality brick oven pizza and found a bunch of five star reviews for Fergndans so off we went. It's about 3 miles from the town square so not too far off the beaten path and located in a non-descript white building that looks like someone's home. Parking is plentiful. We ordered a pepperoni and a white pizza with chicken. The chicken that comes on the pizza is sliced deli (a la Boars Head) chicken and not chunks or fresh chicken, which I found a bit odd. The crust is very good and can be eaten alone. The pepperoni was good but I would've loved some higher quality pepperoni. Still, it was a nice meal and the pizza is above average. I have been waiting to write this review for a long time. Fergndan's pizza is truly special. Fergndan's is the best pizzeria in Oxford, and serves the best pizza I have ever eaten. I came here with a great group of people and had a fun time sitting out on the porch. The owner/manager came to the porch and spoke to us a couple times which was a nice and friendly gesture. This place is pretty new, but I think the restaurant could benefit from adding some decorations (and a menu) to the walls and some music playing would be nice too. I plan on coming back soon to this place. Edit: Talked to Mr. Ferguson on my last visit here. He showed me some artwork that they were planning to hang on the walls soon. He said he was also planning on adding speakers outside. It's pretty awesome how dedicated he is to this restaurant. I can't wait to come back read more

Mediocre - pizza not very flavorful. Very thin crust is black on bottom while veggies on top are uncooked. The older lady - maybe an owner(?) is rude and kind of short with customers. The key word they don't get is "customer" This lady brings one pizza to the table and there are four of us and she acts completely put out that we asked for plates. I'm sorry we want to eat our food on a plate. I would bet a lot of the five star reviews are their family. read more

We're so glad we found this place! The food is delicious and service is excellent. They have indoor and outdoor seating which are both comfortable and relaxing especially for large crowds. When we were there, masks were required and social distancing. Another wonderful thing to know is Fergndans also make awesome desserts!
