Great location it's so nice to have something on the side of town. Cute house transformation. There crust is one of the best I have had, I eat every piece which is not normal for me and pizza. #NoCrustLeftBehind. I enjoyed it all the flavors we purchased, and while the crust is some of the best, the toppings are never super hot, the cheese doesn't really bubble, thankfully, it wasn't as cold as last time. Not a ton goes into the service part they just give you your pizza. The ice tea is delicious !

They accommodate everyone. I have some food allergies and the owners both came and checked on me. The food is great, and a lot of options.

If you want a great wood fired pizza this is the place for you. It sits in a rustic old house (that's what it looked like and I don't know the actual history of the building). It is operated by a local family. It looked like a lot of locals eat lunch here which is always a good sign. Everyone was so friendly and came around checking on everyone. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day. The pizza came out in about 5 minutes and was hot and fresh. It was truly wood fired and had a great crust. I had the barnyard and added Buffalo sauce. The chicken was very fresh. My wife had the Alfredo and it was just as good. If I'm back in Oxford, MS you can find me at Fergndan's Pizza Cafe!

The pizzas were ordered for pickup and were ready on time. The pizzas were quite delicious. My favorite was the summer lovin' pizza was delicious and refreshing! The cheese sticks with the mozzarella I would eat again. The other pizzas were delicious! We all split 4 pizzas and they were gone in less than 10!

Heard we had to try Ajax, the diner, not the soap. We stopped in for lunch before heading to Nashville airport to come home. The diner is about what you'd expect inside. Old, kitschy and full of decor. We sat in a booth an were greeted by a waitress promptly for drink orders. Cokes and waters. They deliver the coke in a neat Ajax cup. I ordered the chicken fried steak. Wife ordered the chicken and dumplings and step son ordered catfish. Everything arrived very quickly and everything was hot and southern deliciousness, except the corn bread. The corn bread was dry and not very good at all. Pretty sure it was yesterday's leftover bread or someone needs to pull it 5 minutes sooner from the oven. Unanimous at the table, Everton e had garb corn bread. No big deal. The chicken fried steak was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Gravy was great and the red beans and rice side was awesome. All great flavors. Wife loved the chicken and dumplings, good flavor and tender chicken. She got a side of sweet potato casserole and loved it. I had a bite and it was delicious for certain. Step son had the fried catfish, he is not a big seafood eater but he absolutely loves the catfish. I had a big piece and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great as well. The staff was outstanding, the service was great and the food was excellent sans the cornbread. Ajax is a neat little diner in the heart of Oxford. It's a little pricey as is everything in this college town, but it was worth the visit.

She said this was her passion and wants to make sure her guests are taken care of. I insisted I pay and explained I was there on business so I wasn't paying for it myself. After several time trying, I just said "thank you and I wished everyone cared as much." That was by far the most sincere service recovery I ever encountered and it was at the cost of the associate. Manager never game to the table. I don't recall seeing anyone that fit that description either. This is a mid to upper tier price point "nice" establishment so expectations should reflect that. Julie owned it and took one for the team. I felt horrible she felt she needed to do that. I hope she doesn't do this often. Experience not so good but I experienced worse. Food was okay to good. Julie was outstanding. I don't carry cash but I gave her everything I had. The only response I need to hear that would make me change my mind is if Julie was refunded for my check. As for the matcha matcha latte, it was a 3/10 for me. There were clumps of unmixed matcha powder at the bottom. My friend got the same latte and she had the same experience. So I would skip on this, not worth the 7 dollars in my opinion. Overall, I'm going back for the food when I can afford it!! It looks exactly like how it is pictured on Instagram and it's organic. Guys have to wear a shirt with a collar, which we knew. A group of us tried go on a non-busy weekend. 3 girls and 2 guys. Both guys wore a shirt with a collar and jeans. As we walked up, a guy walked out of the establishment in jeans and a T-shirt and proceeded to vomit 4 times by our feet. We then knocked to get in and gave the appropriate password, but we were told we could not get in because the men were not in slacks. We told them we just saw a guy come out in jeans and a shirt, and he also got profusely sick. It's not like there was any ounce of class or sophistication...They said it was a mistake letting that guy in and that they still would not let us in. They were extremely and shockingly rude about it and slammed the door in our face. Then another guy walked out also in jeans and a tee!! We went and spent our money elsewhere on the Square and enjoyed ourselves. Later, we saw them let a group of clearly intoxicated people go inside, and the guys in that group were wearing jeans. We are so confused. We will never try to go here again. Plus the alley reeks of vomit.....thanks to their "classy" customers. This is a polite version of our disappointment. We have now spoken to other people in The Square about this place, and apparently it is a common thread. We will continue to make sure others know not to come here.

They said they were open today and no need for reservations. As soon as I walked in, they were a few others waiting for a hostess that never came. One customer finally went and asked a waitress to come seat us. She told me to go upstairs to sit at bar. But, once at bar. They said they serve pizza and beer only. I didn't want that. So, I went all the way back down stairs so I could order some real food off the lunch menu. Once again, I found myself waiting to be seated at a restaurant that had no hostess. A waiter finally told me I could sit at a table along the wall. So, I finally got a seat after 15 minutes of waiting and given the "run around". My waiter did bring me my sweet tea. But, it took a long time for him to take my order. During this time, he did bring me some complimentary bread and melted butter. It was pretty good. At one point, I over heard him tell some customers that they have no dishwasher, no hostess and some other people that didn't show up. They finally brought me my spaghetti with 2 meatballs with marinara. They didn't put enough marinara on my spaghetti. So, it was a little dry. But, I ate it anyway. Even though the portion of spaghetti was a little small. Final thoughts: I wished I had eaten at Olive Garden in Tupelo earlier today. But, I wanted to come to the Oxford Square as it had been years since I have been down here. I think it was the mid 90's when I was down here the last time. Anyway, I don't think I'm coming back to this restaurant again. I was down here too long.

I actually spotted it from the bookstore balcony across the street, which made for a great first impression. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, offering thoughtful recommendations from the menu. Since I was dining solo, I grabbed a seat at the bar, which worked out perfectly. I started with a small Caesar salad. It was definitely on the smaller side, but surprisingly flavorful--especially if you enjoy a strong garlic profile. For my main dish, I built my own pizza: pesto base, mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, red tomatoes, and a hot spicy honey drizzle. The flavor combination was outstanding--really well balanced and memorable. The only drawback was the crust, which was a bit soft and seemed slightly undercooked. The wait time was reasonable, around 15-20 minutes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot, especially if you're with a group. It does get a bit loud, so it may not be ideal for a quiet date night. I visited on a Friday, and they closed at 8 PM due to a live band, which added to the lively atmosphere. This is a place I'd gladly return to the next time I'm in Oxford.
