Super friendly service, a cool laid-back, almost divey vibe, Elvis pictures on the walls, and quite possibly the best freaking burger I've ever had. When we walked in, my kid looked around and told me there was absolutely no chance she would have ever picked a place like this on her own, but that it was clearly perfect for me. Fair. Then she ate the burger. By the time we finished, she was just as thrilled as I was and informed me, "This is why I keep you around." High praise from a daughter. Phillips Grocery is exactly the kind of place I love finding. No frills, tons of character, friendly people, and a ridiculously good burger. We'll be back. And apparently I get to stay in the family a little longer.

Our server was prompt and attentive, the food was decent quality and really reasonably priced, the restaurant was clean and there was plenty of room for our large party. The portions are HUGE, so it's definitely something we can share and have plenty to eat. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. I've also ordered the kids' chicken tender meal before, and honestly, it was more than enough food for me. They recently moved to a new location and now have an indoor golf simulator that you can reserve, which is a fun addition and makes it more than just a place to grab something to eat. Definitely one of our go-to spots in Oxford!

Plenty of meat and the fries were hot, just how I like them. The service was good, nobody actually waits on you, you order at a counter and they bring you your food. That's it. You police your own trash when you're done. Overall, this really wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for a locally owned mom and pop type place. Something that didn't have the chain vibe. This is kinda a sports bar with food ish. They have some golf simulators and televisions. While the food was good, for me, it's a pass on a second visit when I come back to Ole Miss.
