My special order for a matching colored toilet seat did not work out as planned and was given full refund in the end despite toilet seat was used and I lacked original box. The Kohler product did not perform as expected, repeatedly loosening up. Five stars for their patience in dealing with a demanding private customer. read more

Bought all my hardware for my new bathroom there. I wanted a diverter so I could have water coming out of two shower heads at once. I was told I purchased and paid for it. Once installed my contractor said it was not what I expected. It was too late at that point...To make matters worse, my wife wanted a barn door for the shower with custom hardware. The best part about this place is the convenience when you don't want to get home depot quality supplies, but that may be it. Extremely understaffed, and parts ordered either came damaged or missing on the order. I did hear that another company will be buying them out...I hope so and things turn around! read more

I went blackman for the same part, the guy not only immediately told me it is not an item sold separately but he will see if he can find one in the back and he would not charge if he find one. After meeting Kemraj Feddy yesterday, I have changed my mind and do not want to work with Ferguson. Homeowner here, doing a full gut renovation of my bathroom. I left the showroom feeling uncomfortable, frustrated and discouraged. The entire interaction was like pulling teeth, he is very difficult to communicate with, he did not offer suggestions, no help at at. He told me that I needed to do more research regarding a tub drain... isn't that the reason I'm there to hash this out with guidance? I don't see the point of having a showroom if the sales people are useless. I also witnessed how Kemraj treated a customer over the phone and felt like he was very unprofessional. As a consumer, I want my sales person to work hard for me, instead he treated me and that customer over the phone like we work for him. The website makes you think you will meet friendly and helpful sales people, this place fell really short, Kemraj does not exude a great environment were you want to spend your money. While I was there, there was a customer on the phone with a problem. He did not calm that customer down nor attempt to de-escalate the situation. He added fuel to the fire by hanging up on them after they spent over 10k there. (I know this because after a while the customer sent him an email, which he read allowed to me!!!) I imagined him doing the same to me after I spent thousands there. It was crazy to witness! After I left the showroom I called to the store because I wanted a part number. He lied and told the operator he was with a customer, when arrived back at the store, in fact he was not with a customer, but on a personal call. He allowed me to sit and wait while he conducted HIS personal call and did not even acknowledge me there waiting. I finally passed him a note to get the part number! I found him to be rude and he created an environment were I don't want to spend my money. That was my first time at Ferguson, and it left a bad taste in my mouth, I think it's best I use another retailer. read more

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. I heard great things about Blackman Plumbing, so I came here in May for a bathroom renovation. Freddie "helped" me out, if your version of helping someone is being constantly rude and not giving any input or advice. He clearly hates his job, he hates customer service and I have no idea why the company keeps him. I'd love to see his sale records. I ordered a bathtub, sliding bath doors and a toilet. I canceled the toilet and ended up getting it much cheaper and better quality at Lowe's. I wanted to cancel my shower doors too, and Freddie tells me I can't do that because they were special ordered. What? They haven't even been delivered it and I can't cancel? So I had to wait A MONTH for my tub and shower doors. Cool. Now the process to get my money back from the toilet..I made my purchase in MAY and I got my credit back last week..were in December. Why was a simple credit so complicated?? These people are disgusting and rude. The only person who was helpful was Sharoyln. It's a shame bc this place has nice stuff, but the customer service is disgusting, especially Freddie, the person I worked with. You're better off going to Home Depot/Lowe's and getting it for cheaper and not dealing with the crap of this place. 7 months for a freaking credit?? These are the rudest M-fers I've come across. They have zero knowledge of items that are being sold in the store. Seems to me that Paul was in a rush to go home so he sends us across the street to find what we were looking for needless to say what we were looking for was not across the street. We come back he then proceeds to tell us he can't help us because he goes home @ 4pm and lives in Manhattan ?!!!!!!! Who TF cares?! Anyway, we go into the showroom to look around, spoke to a nice professional woman named Grace who provided us with all the information we needed. We go back into the plumbing section as we had left our items on the counter so we'd be able to talk to a different sales person because like Paul said earlier he was leaving @ 4pm. We come across Willie who seems to me to have The Napoleon Complex. We asked him for the items that were left on the counter as we were ready to pay for them he says to us in a disgusting tone. I put "dem" back you better go look for them yourself!!! (REALLY?!!) So the gentlemen I was with obliged and "Willy" proceeded to ring us up but had some serious attitude. He then throws a plastic bag on the counter and says bag it up yourself. Lol. I thought I was being filmed for the show "What would you do" I asked for his name and he shouted it out as if he didn't care. So WILLY shout out to you!!!This is a great place to visit with your high school kids and let your children see what happens when you don't study hard and get your education!!! All of the "workers" here are clearly miserable and hate their job. Blackman company needs to hire people that have some type of knowledge of what's being sold and have some sort of training on how to treat their customers. I wish you could rate this place a negative 5 stars. Walked into the showroom last night and this salesman (an old Indian guy) was sitting at his computer right next to the door. He didn't even take his eyes off the computer to acknowledge us walking into the store. I pretty had to beg him to get up from his desk and give me a price on a faucet. TERRIBLE. I have been driving past Blackman plumbing for 20+ years and seeing their ad. Faced with an old house renovation and working under a fairly strict timetable I stopped by their Hicksville showroom with a list of items. I knew my exact needs and sizes. I was told (at 11am on a Thursday) that they work by appointment only and that no salesperson would have time to meet with me on that day- not for even 5 minutes, not to even answer a few questions. I asked the receptionist if she could call the Mineola showroom, perhaps someone could help me there. No dice. I made an appointment for the following day at noon. I met with one of their salespeople. He sat at his desk while I stood, did not even ask me to have a seat. We compiled a list fulfilling the items that I needed. One of them included a gorgeous medicine cabinet that they had on display. He did not have the specs available and told me that he would email me the specs and a price list for the item that I had chosen. I received the list the next day. He did not include the specs, in fact didn't include that item at all. The prices on the other items, which were mostly plumbing fixtures (showers, faucets etc) were ridiculous. My contractor asked me to ask him if he could do better. I emailed him back- the answer was 'yes' but no specifics. I again answered, asked him to call me and reiterated my interest in the cabinet and asked for the specs. He sent me the details on a different item. A couple of days later I called, anxious to finish, find out the new prices ask about the cabinet again and make a purchase. He was not in and I was told that no other saleperson would or could talk to me. I asked to speak to a manager. Someone called Danny got on the phone, insisted he was a manager but knew nothing about any of their products. I had to beg to get him to simply agree to ask another person to call me back. Four hours later a woman left a voicemail message. Her tone of being ticked off and inconvenienced by having to call be was truly shocking. The total ( without the cabinet) for my items, had I bought them from Blackman at the original quoted price was $2750. If this is how they treat a customer like me I can't imagine how they stay in business. I called a kitchen and bath place in Brooklyn, read them my list. The person who answered the phone helped me with each item, emailed me specs, special ordered the exact Robern cabinet I wanted and came in 30% less. I worked with Feddy in the showroom and had the best experience with him. I am an interior designer and have brought in countless clients to the showroom. Feddy really knows his stuff and makes the process very easy and seamless for me and my clients alike. In the event of any small issues that may arise, Feddy handles them with no problem and always goes the extra mile to make sure that the issue is dealt with easily and reasonably. I highly recommend him and Blackman. The selection in the showroom and the quality they represent is top notch! read more
