If you're in the market for incompetent design associates and to be berated (literally screamed at) by the bald manager in the middle of the showroom, then this is the place for you. If you expect to be treated with respect and decency, then this is not the place for you. Pro tip: if for some reason you still find yourself at this dated showroom, steer clear of Wendy. She should be put out to pasture. Each time we met with her, she acted as though she had someplace better to be (guess the $7.50 an hour isn't worth it to her). She would go for days without responding to emails, would not answer calls - communication is not her strong suit. First time there. Wendy helped us. Let's just say she puts on a great show. She knows her stuff. But that's where it ends. She was condescending when it came to deciding whether we wanted quartzite or granite. She said "no one uses granite, what do you still serve peanut butter and jelly sandwiches?" She then said "quartzite is not that much more in price" That was totally uncalled for, assuming we wanted granite because it was cheaper! We returned the following week to look at some more stones and she had no clue who we were! She is not very friendly. In the end we choose not to use RAI because of Wendy! What is amazing about them is their selection of quartzite countertops. They have a beautiful and large selection to see in their office and let you take samples with you. My best friend bought her countertop there and they did a good job installing it. Unfortunately, there biggest flaw is customer service. She found one of the sales ladies to be quite pushy and so did I. I also had a negative experience with one of the other sales people. He was more interested in joking around with the other sales people than helping me with my project. I found him to be very impatient and a bad listener. They need to work on training their sales people on how to provide better customer service. read more

We recently renovated a kitchen and went to RAI for the backsplash tile. I was impressed by the many choices and displays but the young girls who work here were not very helpful, quite rude at times and honestly very difficult to deal with. My designer followed up with them on the tile I chose but kept running into issues getting fair pricing. They were not communicating via email systems and not honoring any quotes they gave. I have been coming to RAI for many years but this will be my last. While the selection is beautiful, the customer service is atrocious. I dealt with a snot nose kid named Victoria, who was rude, unfriendly, uncommunicative and unprofessional on every level. I found the exact same tile a reputable website where I could have saved money but chose to purchase through RAI because it is a neighborhood store that I want to see succeed during these tough times. The best. Period. Vinny has supplied the tile and countertops for 6 of our bathrooms and 2 kitchens in two different houses. His selection and design eye are incredible. No BS when it comes to pricing - he knows how to treat a customer and won't try to upsell (he regularly suggests that we go with a lower-priced alternative when we are deciding between two options). Ordered tile for our bathroom wall and floor. The service was pleasant enough and they had a nice selection of tile. The wall tile we wanted was in stock, so we went to the warehouse and picked it up same day - I like the tiles and the warehouse folks were professional and courteous as well. If this had been our only order, I would've given 4 or 5 stars. However the floor tile needed to be special ordered. We were told Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week (2-3 business days). As we hadn't received a call by the following weekend, we drove to the showroom to inquire. The associate told my husband to go to the warehouse to pickup but when we got there, they said they hadn't received the order yet but promised they'd look into and get back to us. Which they didn't. I call back just now (10 days after ordering) and they promise me they will receive in 7 days, but no guarantees. I'm not sure what happened (it seems like the supplier didn't receive the initial order) but am disappointed and frustrated, especially considering the GC is coming Monday to start the bathroom remodel. My recommendation: don't trust their timelines - especially if you have a deadline to meet. I feel like the lady who placed our order bullshit us a bit - both on the day we ordered and the following week when we followed up in person. It doesn't matter how helpful your sales associates seem, it doesn't mean anything if you don't provide what we paid for. I don't think I will shop here again. read more

We were the easiest sale to close, but the head manager, who was a middle aged, blonde and blue eyed woman, became frustrated and impatient after 7 minutes of showing me options. I went in twice and was helped by two different people and they really couldn't have cared less about me. The service is horrible. Like the other reviewer said they are very impatient when you're trying to decide what to get. It's not an easy decision especially when you're spending a lot of money. The blonde lady helped me the first time too but the second guy was just as impatient. Unfortunately, they were the only ones who had the tile I wanted so after trying numerous other places I had to buy it here. I really hope I don't have to go back. I probably should have written this after my renovation is done but I don't want other people receiving this kind of service especially when renovations are stressful as it is. read more

My husband and I did our research and visited multiple marble/granite companies to request a quote for our kitchen. Once we provided the exact color and SQ FT we received an immediate quote from the salesman. The quote we were provided was doubled from any other quote received on the same piece of stone from other companies. We obviously didn't chose RAI for our countertops, but make sure you do your research and don't get overcharged. The showroom was beautiful, but way too overpriced. read more

I had a terrible experience dealing with them. After spending hours looking at slabs of granite for my bathroom. My wife and I picked one and they put our name on it. When we went back they sold our slab and tried to substitute a cracked one instead without telling us. The reason we knew they switched the slab is because I had taken a picture of the original. They tried to convince us they didn't but once I showed the picture they admitted what they done. I recommend to not go there. read more

On the recommendation of my contractor, I came to RAI Marble and Granite. I put a deposit down for tiles for my upstairs hall bathroom, powder room and master bathroom. When I called back a few weeks later to speak to the sales person about finishing my order of my kitchen backsplash and countertop, I was told the sales person no longer worked there. No one bothered to notify me that the sales person left the company and no one had any recollection of my order or was following up on it. I find this company to be very disorganized and unprofessional. I would not use them again or recommend them. read more

I did two bathrooms with RAI 10 years ago and did not bother to go anywhere else for our kitchen project because we were so happy with the bathrooms. We purchased quartzite counter tops and carrera back splash. I gave them my Amex to pay the 50% deposit and at first they did not want to take my Amex ... I pointed out they have an Amex sign in the the window stating they accept Amex... there was a managers meeting...etc... they told me they would do me a favor and take amex one time but would refuse on the balance...very odd. When we went to template the counters they lost (or sold or the tags fell off) the slabs we selected after the Amex fiasco. ....we picked two new slabs and they cut, sealed, delivered and installed the counter (After I paid with a non Amex card) all went well. My contractor installed the backsplash and everything looked great...within a day of use, rings and etching started to form...we could not put anything on the counter without it etching. A glass of water causes a mark. We went back several times over the next few months and they gave us a "free" bottle of cleaner and sealer..did not work...went back again and they said we must not being cleaning properly. They did sent a tech out who admittingly said he had never seen anything like it before. Their suggestion was that after 4 months of use I needed a full stone restoration at my expense and gave me the name of a company they use...the guy never called back. After several calls and a call with the manager, RAI did send their tech back and he buffered the counters...better but still etching all over...no warranty on the finish and have not heard from them since. They did not even bother to call to see if buffing worked...now 8 months out I have to pay 2k to have the stone restored and everyone I had in to look at it said the sealer was not done properly and you should go back to the seller to have them refinish it...no such luck...cheaper to pay for the restoration than take them to small claims...I guess they figure I won't be doing any kitchens or baths in the near term. I should have known better when they tried the bs with the Amex and then lost our slabs. Be weary of these folks, once they get your money, they have no use for you read more
