I had hardened stuff on a wooden floor and the guy helping me out directed me towards a better scraper and it worked wonderfully without scratching things up. I didn't catch him name but younger guy with longer hair, thank you!

I haven't felt this at-home since Thanksgiving '98 when Grandpa and I road a tandem bicycle to Olive Garden and filled our bellies to the brim with bottomless salad and breadsticks! (He's passed away now - gluten allergy) When walking into the store, you may shed a tear, because at this Ace hardware, you're family. The kind staff and I always hold hands as I browse about the store...and NO it's NOT because they're concerned for my safety!! Stop being silly, ya silly goose...Maybe a wrench, maybe some rock salt, heck maybe even just a random bottle of hot sauce...the options are endless! They have everything, at very reasonable city prices. Once I've satisfied my nearly insatiable craving for browsing the aisles of doorknobs and extension chord, I check out, exchanging a knowing smirk with the cashier...and on my way home I KNOW I'll sleep better tonight..:because "Like a good neighbor, Ace Hardware is there"!

We actually found them by accident last Christmas when we needed an emergency Christmas tree stand, and we've been coming back ever since. What keeps us coming back is the experience. It's not just that someone asks if you need help when you walk in. Throughout the entire time you're in the store, multiple team members check in to make sure you have what you need. You never feel like you're interrupting someone or that you're on your own. It's a level of service that's become incredibly rare. One visit really stood out. We brought in some hardware from a project because we weren't sure what screws we needed. Instead of sending us to an aisle and wishing us luck, a team member took the time to match the exact size and type we needed. We were able to head home and finish the project that same day. The best way I can describe this place is that it feels like shopping in a different era - in the best possible way. Everyone genuinely seems to care that you have a great experience and leave with the right solution. That's not something you find very often anymore. We're lucky to have them in the neighborhood.

More than not good. Have tried repeatedly to shop there, same basic experience…read more First, large employee turnover. Obviously a journeyman position until the person finds something better with more pay. Never the same person when I come in. Now, on to products and service. Came in today for a spark plug check. First thing was to check the gap, go back, start the machine. I suspected the plug was bad, but started with this. Well guess what, they sell spark plugs, but don't have a gap tool! I commented to the person every machine is different, it does not come off the assembly line correct with this. She just looked at me like I was more than crazy. Did not even offer to help me find a replacement plug. Popcorn hour for the staff? I went to the auto parts store, simple gap tool for reasonable price. If I need building or hardware, I just go to Lowes or HomeDepot. The problem is they cannot connect the dots on a project. Part of that is they don't keep good staff, and that is what I come here for, advice and direction. And, they are frequently out of needed items. Correction - what I used to come here for...
