Hello Fitness Freaks! I have been a Rage Fitness customer for over 10 years and have purchased a myriad of equipment such as kettlebells, barbells, slam balls, rings and many other items. Oh yes, bumper plates too. The equipment has been the highest quality and always delivers on performance. I have found the service excellent every time. Matt Rutledge, one of the inside sales reps, is just great--very responsive and helpful when you have questions either on the phone or in showroom. The same goes for other associates I have dealt with over the years. Finally, if you ever have a problem with the equipment, Rage stands behind it and will repair/ replace as needed. If you've tried to buy fitness equipment during a pandemic you know that there's one word that can be used to describe it: nightmare. Supply chains have been disrupted, which has prevented vendors from restocking the equipment that has been snapped up already. The equipment you can find is often being sold at ridiculously high prices by scalpers. I've been searching frequently, which usually ends with me being disappointed because I refuse to encourage those people selling at outrageous prices. I raised an eyebrow when I spotted exactly what I wanted from Rage Fitness that was not only in stock, but also being sold at a fair price. I actually called them because I was so skeptical. They confirmed what I was seeing. From what I could find online this looked like a well established company so I placed an order. I was told it would take 3-5 business days to ship my item. I was shocked that they ended up shipping it the same day I ordered it. I wasn't thrilled to be paying $33 for shipping, but the total price was still less than what scalpers were charging with "free" shipping. I ordered around 500 pounds worth of bumper plates from them during the pandemic for a fair price. All the items except one 10 lb plate arrived and the shipping time was fast considering the circumstances. Their customer service when dealing with this issue was excellent. Daily replies from emails and questions and they were very considerate and helpful. The quality of the plates are excellent thus far. I will order from them again. read more

Purchased a Rage Fitness kettlebell directly from the vendor. It was on sale and was priced less than on Amazon, even after handling & shipping. It also arrived sooner than expected, an additional bonus. While Rage notes that it is powder coated, it was also coated with a slick coat of either black paint or a clear coat. The handle was a bit thicker than expected and the underside was rough. I used a file to smooth the underside and painted it with metallic paint. It was a good but not great purchase. BTW, mine was made in China. read more

Their equipment quality is great with some of the most competitive pricing in the industry. They don't hide behind the "free shipping" in the inflated costs of their equipment like many fitness companies these days. I like that they offer local Denver pickup as an option. Their quality assurance seems to be much better than competitors such as Rep Fitness which constantly disappoint with no consistency in products. Although I do wish they would expand their equipment offerings, I will continue to have Rage be my go-to local fitness equipment provider for barbells, bumper plates, kettlebells, and accessories. read more

Poorly made equipment. I waited for months (which I expected) then received this piece of crap half rack for benching. After I have altered it, it seems much better but if they were quality they gave that up for demand and gouged for it. I would recommend avoiding their equipment. read more

Piss Poor Customer Service. No option to pick up in person? Shipping direct only? I should have known. Put in an order for some brackets on December 4th, on January 15th I call to find out what's taking so long and I'm told "that person is in a meeting". I get no call back. I call again and am told "we will find out." Again, no call back. I had placed a second order on December 17th, for $2000 worth of equipment. On January 17th I get an email saying my $2K worth of gear will be here on the 22nd. I ask where my first order is and am told "I only see one order." The following day I receive a double order (!) of my original bracket set. However, the brackets came with substantially undersized hardware, which required (2) actions from Gibson before I just purchased the correct hardware myself, as it became apparent they would not. Additionally the rope included was not as described, and branded from a different manufacturer with a new stamp over it. Not impressed. It's now January 25th, still haven't received my order from December 17th, that supposedly shipped out 8 days ago, from 30 miles away. I called the freight company and they said "we haven't been told to pick it up yet." Poor quality product so far, even worse customer service. Take your $$ elsewhere. read more

I ordered from Rage Fitness through their website. Reasonable prices for equipment and shipping. They gave pretty accurate deadlines for shipping (OK, no one's perfect). I wish I had read some reviews before placing an order. I'd really like to be a satisfied customer but... We placed an order for our small business almost two months ago, on October 10th, and were told that it would ship in 5 days. It didn't. We called and left a voicemail on October 27th asking about our order, and the next day Pete from customer service sent an email and said they were "estimating a 3 week lead time" and that it "may be another day or two." He closed with "I'll be sure to let you know." He didn't let us know. After multiple unanswered phone calls and no response, we finally got another email from Pete on November 10th, one month after placing the order, telling us the "order should ship in the next few days." It didn't. We finally received PART of the order on November 18th, and on November 22nd, after "conducting an investigation" about the rest of the order, FedEx classified the package as lost and said that the shipper would likely ship a replacement and file a claim. Now, December 7th, almost two months after placing the order we still don't have what we ordered. I'm really hoping that tomorrow I can come back and edit this review to reflect that Rage Fitness / Gibson Athletic made things right. =========== *UPDATE*- DECEMBER 8th - We have a response in the form of a replacement being shipped overnight. Now we're keeping our fingers crossed that FedEx can do their job right. Thanks to Pete and anyone else involved in fixing this problem. It is unfortunate that it had to come to this. This companies sales and customer service is awful! I called the sales office 3 times, emailed twice and even posted on their Facebook page. I never received a call back, email or Facebook post response. My business went elsewhere and I've heard from many Crossfit gyms they have done the same. read more

I will second the previous poster. Customer service is sub-par, at best. After calling and "confirming" that they had one of their bumper weight packages in stock, we paid for the package and drove down to pick everything up at will call. When we got to their showroom and nobody was to be found. I poked my head around the back, where their offices are and a couple gentlemen were on their computers with zero interest in helping whatsoever. Instead of helping, I waited for the sales rep that sold me the package. Long story short, after we got the receipt and when we got to will call, they claimed they didn't have two of the plates in stock...keep in mind, they said everything was in stock when we purchased everything on the phone the day prior. Okay. Strike two. "Will you ship the plates for free since we drove all the way down and you SAID everything was in stock"? Nope! According to the rep, we were already getting a discount since we were picking them up. Ha! Discount of not paying shipping, that is. Three weeks later, we still have not received a phone call for the plates that we purchased and never received. Our business will be taken elsewhere in the future. read more

Poor quality merchandise sold through dicks sporting goods! I have 4/ 50 lb slam balls and one 20 lb only one 50 lb hasn't split yet these balls are meant to slam and when they rip the company led me through the bs had me send the ball back and replaced one but refuses to replace the otherseven after I sent the pieces back they requested. My friend had the same issue. The other companies out there give better warranty and don't break as easily .Save your money and a save yourself a headache by not having to deal with their customer service reps who called me about ten times over the course of three months with every excuse in the book and then false promises!!!!!! read more

Getting jerked around! I contacted Rage about some olympic plates on their site that would qualify for some free shipping and was told that they would need to check to see how many they had in stock but would get right back to me. 3 days later I receive an email stating that they don't have enough in stock to cover my order and would need to drop ship them from the manufacturer at a cost of $625. I told them I would like only the plates they have in stock because of the shipping special and they again said they would have to check to see what they actually had in stock. A few days later I again receive an email stating "we are be able to reduce the shipping by sending one fully loaded pallet from our warehouse but we can not avoid shipping directly from (manufacturer) on the items we do not have in stock." I again called to find out exactly how much of my order they had in stock, only to talk to a new rep who states they never carry those in their warehouse and that I will have to pay the $625 to ship the entire order from (manufacturer). After telling him that I was told they could cover shipping for "one fully loaded pallet" he agreed to that but told me they would only allow 150 lbs!!! That would be 3 plates! That by no one's definition amounts to a "fully loaded pallet"!! read more
