The woman who was running the shop was very kind and told us all about each of the products. Everything is made from blackcurrants; they have syrups, gelato, preserves, and wines. We ended up buying one of each of the wines and a bottle of the syrup, all of which are very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through the area.

The grounds go down to Lake Champlain, including where the adjacent Inn and Flower Garden are. Some of the walking paths criss-cross the maple syrup tapping lines. Fun to see and pet their cows plus the big Farm Barn, where the independent organic O Bread Bakery* and Beeken/Parsons furniture maker both operate. (* See separate review.) Although our visit was on an early December Sunday, there's apparently more going on from Spring on and over Summer. Would recommend stopping by Shelburne Farms any time, especially great for kids!

We chose to pick our own. When you arrive, someone will give you how ever many empty baskets you want, and then explain how it works. It's pretty simple, you fill your baskets with strawberries while eating as many from the field as you want and then you pay when you leave. Each basket can contain up to 4 liters of strawberries and costs $9. Depending on the season, you can also pick raspberries, tomatoes, zucchinis or many others things. Québec strawberries are smaller, more red, and extremely sweet, so I really love to picking them myself every year when I can. It's a great getaway from the city and it's enlightening to get your fresh fruits and veggies directly at the farm. If you're going during lunch time, don't forget to pack a picnic. They have a few picnic tables for people to use so you can spend some time there after or before picking your fruits, enjoying a nice picnic outside, and then going to get your dessert directly from the field. :) They are open 7 days a week so you can go anytime you want. Monday to Friday from 7AM to 7PM and Saturday and Sunday from 7AM to 6PM.

It's Sunday and it's known as cinnamon roll day; they are displayed and served in the coffee room, around the corner. We were so early the rolls had not come out yet.
