The loss of our mom was devastating to the family, but Greg helped ease our situation and was very supportive.

After two years of concerns and disappointment, I honestly wasn't sure anything would change. Today, I met with five members of the Fairhaven team, including management and grounds personnel, to discuss the issues. I am pleased to say they took my concerns seriously and turned a very negative situation into a positive one. They explained the steps they have taken to correct the problem, including repairing and replacing sprinkler lines, addressing irrigation issues, and replacing the dead grass surrounding my father's gravesite. Most importantly, they listened. They acknowledged that the condition of the area was unacceptable and took responsibility for making it right. Losing a parent is difficult, and having confidence that their final resting place is being properly cared for means a great deal to families. I left today's meeting feeling reassured that Fairhaven is committed to maintaining the grounds and preventing these issues from happening again. Thank you to Stephanie Alvarez and the Fairhaven team for responding professionally, meeting with me personally, and taking action to address my concerns. I will continue to visit my father's gravesite regularly, but I am encouraged by the improvements that have been made and appreciate the effort to restore my confidence. The attached photo shows the condition of the area today.

To be fair, most of the employees we encountered were kind, and the makeup artist did a beautiful job preparing my dad for our private family visitation. Unfortunately, that is where the positive aspects of our experience ended. After our initial planning meeting, communication became extremely frustrating. My mom had questions throughout the process but rarely received return phone calls. She also had to repeatedly request a copy of the contract after being told it would be emailed to her. On the day of the graveside service, our family arrived early to spend a few private moments with my dad. His wishes were simple: military honors followed by a brief eulogy. As my mom and I waited at the gravesite, one of the attendants asked whether we wanted to remain for the lowering of the casket. This had never been discussed during the planning process and asking my mom to make that decision while sitting at her husband's graveside was heartbreaking. That conversation should have happened well before the day of the service. The attendants were pleasant, but they provided very little guidance. No one explained what to expect or what would happen next, leaving awkward pauses throughout the service. After the eulogy, we simply sat waiting until the grounds crew arrived with carts and equipment to lower the casket. It felt disorganized during one of the most emotional moments of our lives. What was especially upsetting was that less than a week after we buried my dad, the cemetery representative called my mom to schedule an appointment to discuss her own funeral arrangements. While we understand that preplanning is part of their business, the timing was incredibly insensitive. My mom was still grieving the loss of her husband, and that phone call added to what had already been a painful experience. In the end, our biggest disappointment wasn't that the staff were unkind, they weren't. It was the lack of communication, responsiveness, and compassion in guiding a grieving family through an experience that can never be repeated. My mom still talks about how cold and impersonal the graveside service felt, and that is not the memory any family should be left with.

Parting is such sweet sorrow... We got there 30 minutes early and we were just a bit lost on where to go. There was no greeting upon entry. Everyone was busy on the phone, trying to be busy or actually being busy... The MEMORIAL SERVICE HALL is actually quite peaceful and beautiful in its own way. The ambiance is not church like but, more like an open space for many services that doesn't have to be religious... VALUE: My sister in law found this place and I think it's a wonderful and lovely spot for my father in law. Since we live in the Inland empire and my in laws live in LA county we can both visit my father in law conveniently... SERVICE: Overall the staff did a great job setting up the flowers and organizing the service... My father in law loved singing and he would enter and win many singing competitions!! His favorite singers were FRANK SINATRA and ELVIS PRESLEY... I'm very sad I never had a chance to call him DAD. Instead, I always called him Mr. Tsai out of seniority and respect... REST IN PEACE Dad. Heaven is lucky to have your beautiful voice in their choir!

I visited beforehand to familiarize myself with the layout of the land. The receptionist used highlighter & a paper map to clearly point out to me Bob's designated resting place. I was surprised and honored to be included in Professor Papamoschou's chronicle of Professor Liebeck's legacy. He mentioned many of Bob's students who continued to graduate studies at prestigious schools. One of them continued further to design and analyze military equipment. Rest in peace, Professor Liebeck.
