This was my second time in this restaurant and this time around it was a completely different experience! This time around, I went during a very busy time, Friday 7ish pm. There are two floors, so luckily since we were looking for a calmer space, we were able to get seated up there. I was able to make a reservation by calling, even though online nothing was available. Food was good and enjoyable, but I think because it was busy and there might've been a need for tables, our service felt a bit rushed. The best thing about this menu is the fact that they carry a Hugo Spritz! It was okay, and not the way I remember the traditional version to be, but tasty and a good surprise anyhow! Good food, I would just recommend to go during an off-peak time.

Speedy & friendly service. Very welcoming by when I'm imagining is the owner who's sitting by the bar. I waitress was very kind and she took care of us the whole night. We ordered a beat salad, which was absolutely gorgeous and very colorful and perfect amount of dressing!!! I ordered the ravioli marinara and my bff fettuccine Alfredo.. We both really loved our pasta dishes. Everything was prepared so wonderfully! Fresh and delicious! Hot! It was a very busy early dinner timeframe. Service was still fantastic. Very thankful to everyone who contributed to an enjoyable time! So many hard-working employees! I'm so grateful for everything! A very full belly! Thank you for a great experience!!

I don't see the hype. The service was just mediocre, the food was alright, the only issue I had with my food was the Brooklyn square was a little overcooked, the sauce dried out.

First time here -- everything was excellent -- the service, waiter, food and drinks. Family friendly which was nice since we came with our two kids. They fit us in for a last min 5pm resy. Will come back!

A two-floor Italian restaurant, while the service was just average compared to my prior experiences, we had a big table beside us that was taking up the waitstaff's time and attention. Definitely grab a reservation if you can, the bar had some seating throughout but the restaurant was pretty busy with families and celebrations. Was an empty glass for half the meal. Second floor and outside seating available. Close to the Westfield train station for parking on weekends. Good menu, though the appetizers are a bit small (good for 2-3 people to share each, maybe) - the bread they bring is hot and not completely cut so you have to break it apart with your hands. The bruschetta was good, the burrata I've had softer and creamier, and the meatballs were small compared to Nonna's and other Italian restaurants I've been at. For my main, the short rib pappardelle was delicious, though greasy. I ate far too much -- definitely healthy serving size.

This place might have had the best customer service I have ever experienced. I came here with a group of coworkers. We were a party of 8 early in the evening on a weekday but I was super surprised at how attentive the staff was. The food was great and the place was pretty spacious. The only downside is there is no parking but that's to be expected in downtown Westfield. I would definitely go back

Top Notch in Service, Management, and 5 star quality/quantity in food. We are here from Minnesota. And we absolutely loved it here, Ambiance, Food, Service. Top notch.

I got the chicken parmigiana, which was ok (3/5). It wasn't very crispy or super flavorful. We also got a pizza, which was not that good (2/5); the crust was pretty soft, and the flavor wasn't great. Lastly, we also got calamari, which was good (4/5). Service was ok (3/5). It was a little slow, especially when it came time to get the check. The interior of the restaurant and the atmosphere are nice (4/5).

This spot always catches my eye--right by the train station and always packed. Finally tried it and have mixed feelings. The gnocchi was amazing and definitely worth coming back for. The fettuccine was a bit dry, and the pasta didn't taste homemade, but the meat sauce was solid when I added red pepper for alittle kick. The pizza was good at first--nice crust, no flop--but overall mid w taste. Bruschetta and tuna were decent, not standout but tasty. Drinks were well-priced. My dirty martini came out a little too on the rocks lol (basically just vodka), but they fixed it right away when I asked. Service was a 10/10--our server was so sweet. I'd come back for the gnocchi and the service, and maybe try different things.

Don't know how I missed this one, but Yelp reminded me. I did not realize that I never actually wrote the review for this place. I came here back in late October & I had an amazing experience. I am not big on Italian restaurants, as I find most to be bland from trying to "play it safe." That was not the case here. The food was well seasoned, perfectly prepared, & the portions were plentiful. The staff were very friendly & professional, & they were super attentive, in spite of it being very busy when I went. Large venue with two sides, restaurant side & bar side. Nice old school "Italian restaurant" interior decor. Large bay doors which can open to the outdoor seating area. I was truly impressed, & will make it by business to return. It's in the downtown Westfield area, so there's metered parking around, & a metered parking lot directly across the street. I do not remember the specific dishes & drinks we had, but I still have the photos. I give all of the food that we had an A+.

Recently back to ferraros with a group of 5. Still offers decent Italian food in an upscale setting. We shared appetizers, and my favorite was the burrata. I really liked my chicken dish as well. Good portion sizes

This review will focus more on the owner and his staff. Last week I reached out directly to Marc, the owner, as I've done in the past being a loyal repeat customer. My wife and I were hosting a get together at our house yesterday and needed to place an order. Sadly, we needed the order to be picked up before their usual business hours. Marc immediately offered to have his guys come in a bit early just to accommodate our order. When I got there yesterday for pick up, I was greeted warmly and offered an espresso on the house while I waited. What an experience! There are plenty other businesses in this area who would not do this, ever. Marc appreciates the support and loyalty and it truly shows. Of course everything was a major hit with our guests as well. After you order, they bring out very nice fresh and warm rolls with butter. My wife and I began with the Bruschetta which was really tasty. Four long toasted slices smothered with a very tasty tomato, onion, etc. I ordered the pasta special with was a spicy pappardelle with capers, anchovies, olives, and sea scallops. The portion was very generous with the right amount of heat. Great choice. My wife ordered the homemade fusilli pasta with crumbled sausage and broccoli rabe. It was excellent. I know because I ate her leftovers the next day for lunch. The prices were very reasonable and the service was very good. There is plenty of parking in the municipal lots and some street parking. Just know that this restaurant only takes American Express or cash. It is mentioned on their menu and there is an ATM in the back of the restaurant. We didn't know until we arrived and ordered. It is on the menu, but if you don't look, you may miss it. Just because of that, I will not return. In my honest opinion that's kind of weird that they only accept American Express. Yes they do have an ATM in their restaurant so you could withdraw cash but I didn't really wanna worry about ATM fees. Luckily a bank I use is close by so I was able to go withdraw cash from there. If I had realized this beforehand, I would have not dined in at this restaurant. Luckily, my sister had offered to run to the bank to withdraw the cash and I'm glad that our waiter was patient while we went to our bank to get cash. As for the food, it isn't worth the headache of having to get cash or worry if you have an American Express card. The Margherita pizza we ordered looked like a cheese pizza. I mean the cheese pizza was good but when I imagined a Margherita pizza, I had a different type of pizza in mind. Unless there are different versions of Margherita pizza. I ordered the antipasto salad which wasn't too bad. I enjoyed my salad for the most part. My sister got the Penne Alla Vodka and our friend got the Alfredo pasta. We all agreed that the food was average and the pricing is pretty reasonable. Overall, would I return? Probably not just because of the American Express and cash only payment option. It isn't really worth it in that case. But I will admit the service was awesome and the people were definitely friendly.

It had been one of the hottest days in the past decade and we noticed upon walking in that the AC might not have been functioning correctly. It was a bit uncomfortable. That should have been our sign. With the entire restaurant at 25 percent capacity, the hostess decided to seat us right next to another couple. I could touch their table. After we placed our order, complimentary bread was provided. It was fresh and devoured quickly. We began our meal with the fried calamari. It was very good and seasoned nicely. No need for additional salt or pepper. Cooked fresh. Our entrees consisted of chicken murphy and baked ziti with eggplant. My chicken murphy was excellent and the portion was very generous. However, my wife received baked ziti with sausage. Did she send it back? She tried multiple times. We could not find our waiter and I refused to have her get up and track him down. The waiter never came back for the obligatory "How is everything?" "Can I get you anything else?" So, she picked the sausage out of the dish and just ate the baked ziti. When the waiter came back to ask if we wanted dessert, we told him about the mistake. The waiter came back and said they took 10% off the check. So, keep in mind the restaurant is very warm and a film of sweat has already started early on after we sat down. Wrong dish, poor service, and warm restaurant. When the waiter brought over our credit card receipt, he also brought over another customer's receipt and gave us both. I walked to a couple of other tables asking if it was their receipt since our waiter had walked away already. There is ample parking on the street and a few public lots within walking distance to the restaurant. The prices are reasonable. If it wasn't for the tasty food, this easily would have been a one star review.

Lupa is located in a section of Berkely Heights that has seen a lot of recent construction, so it is very pretty and clean. You couldn't be blamed if you bypassed the restaurant. It is not very flashy looking and that is part of its charm. Be warned, there are not a lot of parking spaces behind the restaurant so you may wind up parking in the bank parking lot next to it (when the bank is closed of course). The staff at Lupa is super friendly and treats you like a regular even if this is your first time. The host was super nice, the waitress fantastic and the chef even came to our table to talk to us when we were done eating! The interior is very clean and modern looking. It's elegant and perfect for virtually any event including dates, anniversaries and family get togethers. We wound up sitting in the same area as the bar, which mostly has 2-4 seater tables and of course you can sit at the bar as well. The other side of the restaurant is where the larger tables are located. Here's a rundown of what we had: CLAMS ON TOAST Baby clams. crispy ham. thyme When I ordered this, I expected to see slices of toast with crispy ham and baby clams on top. Instead, it is two large pieces of wonderfully toasted bread with crispy ham on top. The actual clams sit in a *delicious* broth. Taken altogether these various components form a delicious bite. Be sure to dip that bread into the broth! SQUID INK SPAGHETTI lobster knuckles and claws. broccoli florets. grape tomatoes. Sherry Cream Sauce This dish has a wonderfully deep and earthy flavor. I've had squid ink pasta before and this was a wonderful example of it. The sauce was perfect and it was cooked beautifully. HANGER STEAK Truffled pomme frites. Chimichurri The steak was beautifully cooked (we had it medium rare) and the chimichurri sauce was great. However, the steak needed a bit more salt (and I'm not usually one to add salt to food). The pomme frites were wonderfully crispy and tasty. BROCCOLI RABE lemon. Kilos Broccoli rabe is a simple side dish but it is one of my favorites. It is also one that can easily be overcooked.
