I don't see the hype. The service was just mediocre, the food was alright, the only issue I had with my food was the Brooklyn square was a little overcooked, the sauce dried out.

Speedy & friendly service. Very welcoming by when I'm imagining is the owner who's sitting by the bar. I waitress was very kind and she took care of us the whole night. We ordered a beat salad, which was absolutely gorgeous and very colorful and perfect amount of dressing!!! I ordered the ravioli marinara and my bff fettuccine Alfredo.. We both really loved our pasta dishes. Everything was prepared so wonderfully! Fresh and delicious! Hot! It was a very busy early dinner timeframe. Service was still fantastic. Very thankful to everyone who contributed to an enjoyable time! So many hard-working employees! I'm so grateful for everything! A very full belly! Thank you for a great experience!!

First time here -- everything was excellent -- the service, waiter, food and drinks. Family friendly which was nice since we came with our two kids. They fit us in for a last min 5pm resy. Will come back!

This place might have had the best customer service I have ever experienced. I came here with a group of coworkers. We were a party of 8 early in the evening on a weekday but I was super surprised at how attentive the staff was. The food was great and the place was pretty spacious. The only downside is there is no parking but that's to be expected in downtown Westfield. I would definitely go back

A two-floor Italian restaurant, while the service was just average compared to my prior experiences, we had a big table beside us that was taking up the waitstaff's time and attention. Definitely grab a reservation if you can, the bar had some seating throughout but the restaurant was pretty busy with families and celebrations. Was an empty glass for half the meal. Second floor and outside seating available. Close to the Westfield train station for parking on weekends. Good menu, though the appetizers are a bit small (good for 2-3 people to share each, maybe) - the bread they bring is hot and not completely cut so you have to break it apart with your hands. The bruschetta was good, the burrata I've had softer and creamier, and the meatballs were small compared to Nonna's and other Italian restaurants I've been at. For my main, the short rib pappardelle was delicious, though greasy. I ate far too much -- definitely healthy serving size.

Top Notch in Service, Management, and 5 star quality/quantity in food. We are here from Minnesota. And we absolutely loved it here, Ambiance, Food, Service. Top notch.

I got the chicken parmigiana, which was ok (3/5). It wasn't very crispy or super flavorful. We also got a pizza, which was not that good (2/5); the crust was pretty soft, and the flavor wasn't great. Lastly, we also got calamari, which was good (4/5). Service was ok (3/5). It was a little slow, especially when it came time to get the check. The interior of the restaurant and the atmosphere are nice (4/5).

This spot always catches my eye--right by the train station and always packed. Finally tried it and have mixed feelings. The gnocchi was amazing and definitely worth coming back for. The fettuccine was a bit dry, and the pasta didn't taste homemade, but the meat sauce was solid when I added red pepper for alittle kick. The pizza was good at first--nice crust, no flop--but overall mid w taste. Bruschetta and tuna were decent, not standout but tasty. Drinks were well-priced. My dirty martini came out a little too on the rocks lol (basically just vodka), but they fixed it right away when I asked. Service was a 10/10--our server was so sweet. I'd come back for the gnocchi and the service, and maybe try different things.

Don't know how I missed this one, but Yelp reminded me. I did not realize that I never actually wrote the review for this place. I came here back in late October & I had an amazing experience. I am not big on Italian restaurants, as I find most to be bland from trying to "play it safe." That was not the case here. The food was well seasoned, perfectly prepared, & the portions were plentiful. The staff were very friendly & professional, & they were super attentive, in spite of it being very busy when I went. Large venue with two sides, restaurant side & bar side. Nice old school "Italian restaurant" interior decor. Large bay doors which can open to the outdoor seating area. I was truly impressed, & will make it by business to return. It's in the downtown Westfield area, so there's metered parking around, & a metered parking lot directly across the street. I do not remember the specific dishes & drinks we had, but I still have the photos. I give all of the food that we had an A+.

Recently back to ferraros with a group of 5. Still offers decent Italian food in an upscale setting. We shared appetizers, and my favorite was the burrata. I really liked my chicken dish as well. Good portion sizes

Family friendly restaurant serving up a variety of Italian fare. For my first impression, the restaurant was slightly chaotic and I think I need to come back again to try it on a quieter day. Tables were a bit cramped, children were running around, and there was broken glass at one point that I felt like could have been cleaned up just a little bit faster (I was actually slightly concerned given the amount of kids walking around!). Nonetheless, food is solid, nothing fancy but decent all around. I'd come back with large groups and probably recommend it more for families.

My wife and I were hosting a get together at our house yesterday and needed to place an order. Sadly, we needed the order to be picked up before their usual business hours. Marc immediately offered to have his guys come in a bit early just to accommodate our order. When I got there yesterday for pick up, I was greeted warmly and offered an espresso on the house while I waited. What an experience! There are plenty other businesses in this area who would not do this, ever. Marc appreciates the support and loyalty and it truly shows. Of course everything was a major hit with our guests as well. While the company was great, the restaurant itself left much to be desired, resulting in a decidedly average experience that I'm rounding up from 2.5 to 3 stars purely for the enjoyable evening with my friend. Walking in, the first thing we noticed was how cramped the dining area felt. Tables are placed quite close together, which can make for a noisy and somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere. Our initial table hadn't been wiped down from the previous guests, which was an immediate red flag. We quickly moved to a clean table ourselves. Service was sporadic; our server was prompt in taking our drink and food orders but then seemed to disappear. We weren't checked on after our meals arrived, and getting a refill on water or the check required catching someone's eye. It felt very transactional. A major heads-up for future diners is that Fiamma is a BYOB establishment, as their on-site drink options are limited to water and sodas. I highly recommend bringing your favorite wine or beer to complement the meal. Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag. We started with the Calamari Fritti, which was underwhelming. The main issue was a serious lack of seasoning beyond a heavy hand with the salt, and the calamari itself didn't taste fresh; it had a slightly rubbery texture. I ended up eating only a few pieces and left the rest. For my entrée, I had the Gamberoni Scampi. This was a step up but still had its flaws. On the positive side, the linguini was well-cooked, and there was a generous amount of shrimp. The biggest issue was the sheer volume of pasta; it was an immense portion that overwhelmed the other components. I ate about 30% of the pasta and all the shrimp, but it felt wasteful. The dish was decent, but not compelling enough to make me want to tackle such a huge portion again. Based on this visit alone, my experience was a little subpar. Between the cramped space, inattentive service, and underwhelming food, Fiamma didn't live up to its potential. However, the meal was a firm reminder that good company can elevate any experience. The name of the place is "Wood Fired Pizza," and I clearly made a mistake by not ordering their signature item. I'm willing to give Fiamma another chance solely to try the pizza. For now, my recommendation is, if you come, bring your own drinks, maybe skip the appetizers, and definitely order the pizza.

While both were great, the meatballs were the clear winner, served hot in a small cast iron skillet. Moving to the main course, the pasta ragu was another hit. It had a bit of a peppery undertone, but wasn't spicy, just a wonderful blend of spices that gave it a unique flavor. For dessert, I had an apple-based dish that was a special that night. Funny thing: drinks menu is on the dessert menu not the main menu. We ordered the grilled octopus to share. It had a good amount of char and was tender. The beet salad was decent, a bit overdressed. The mushroom soup was creamy and strong in flavor (a good thing). For entree, we had the entree size lump crab crepe, braised short rib, filet mignon and seafood fettuccine. Depending on who you asked, everyone preferred their dish over the other. The lump crab crepe had enough crab meat and shiitake mushrooms to be filling, and was served in a satiny cream sauce. The filet was cooked to order and served with scalloped potatoes that had a nice parmesan flavor. The braised short rib was very tender albeit a small portion, served with silky mashed potatoes and baby carrots. The seafood fettuccine has a little kick and ample seafood, like mussels, prawns, scallops and squid. Outside of the menu, they also have prime rib and a tomahawk steak for 2. We finished the evening with their special lemon tart - definitely tart and lemony - in a shortbread crust and 2 orders of molten lava cake with raspberry coulis and vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious and we will definitely come back.

Lupa is located in a section of Berkely Heights that has seen a lot of recent construction, so it is very pretty and clean. You couldn't be blamed if you bypassed the restaurant. It is not very flashy looking and that is part of its charm. Be warned, there are not a lot of parking spaces behind the restaurant so you may wind up parking in the bank parking lot next to it (when the bank is closed of course). The staff at Lupa is super friendly and treats you like a regular even if this is your first time. The host was super nice, the waitress fantastic and the chef even came to our table to talk to us when we were done eating! The interior is very clean and modern looking. It's elegant and perfect for virtually any event including dates, anniversaries and family get togethers. We wound up sitting in the same area as the bar, which mostly has 2-4 seater tables and of course you can sit at the bar as well. The other side of the restaurant is where the larger tables are located. Here's a rundown of what we had: CLAMS ON TOAST Baby clams. crispy ham. thyme When I ordered this, I expected to see slices of toast with crispy ham and baby clams on top. Instead, it is two large pieces of wonderfully toasted bread with crispy ham on top. The actual clams sit in a *delicious* broth. Taken altogether these various components form a delicious bite. Be sure to dip that bread into the broth! SQUID INK SPAGHETTI lobster knuckles and claws. broccoli florets. grape tomatoes. Sherry Cream Sauce This dish has a wonderfully deep and earthy flavor. Chimichurri The steak was beautifully cooked (we had it medium rare) and the chimichurri sauce was great. However, the steak needed a bit more salt (and I'm not usually one to add salt to food). The pomme frites were wonderfully crispy and tasty. BROCCOLI RABE lemon. Kilos Broccoli rabe is a simple side dish but it is one of my favorites. It is also one that can easily be overcooked.
