Vodka Pie
Ernie C.

There are so many pizza places in Westfield, we often forget about Di Farina - haven't gotten it in years. Ordered it tonight because they will actually deliver a slice. And you know? It was really good. Delivery was super fast as well. Love the fact that the website allows you to customize the pizza toppings by the halves too. We ordered the vodka pie, the calamari pasta in a white wine sauce (and added sautéed shrimp - the shrimp were huge!), and garlic bread. The garlic bread was super crusty and fresh. Everything arrived piping hot and well presented. I do wish they offered rigatoni, but angel hair will do.

Was expecting high prices given the upscale Westfield location--right on the same block as Yestercades--but was pleasantly surprised! A tasty, fresh slice and a 20oz soda set me back just $5.33. Great value, especially for the area. The staff was super friendly and served everything with a smile. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

We had our three young granddaughters and they wanted pizza for a mid-afternoon lunch after a busy summer morning and zoo trip. We ate in and the service was good as was the large cheese pizza. They recently moved to Westfield and we thought this was a nice family place to dine. We will return.

The food was great and the pizza amazing, the staff was great and they made you feel so welcomed and that's a plus in my role. Ambiance is your classic New York feel and the music set the mood as you're either watching sports or a movie at the same time and you won't miss a play they have a TV in the restroom! Thank you for being genuine people

Slices

Di Farina Pizza is located along the bustling East Broadstreet. Its location is perfect to serve people that get hungry while shopping in Downtown Westfield. The staff was friendly and service was quick. The pizza could use a bit of work. The Sicilian had a great, soft, fluffy base with a crisp crust. The cheese was decent, but the slice could benefit from more sauce (or perhaps a thicker sauce). The plain was greasy with a soft base and bland sauce. The cheese was meh. The saving grace was the crust which is quite good with a fluffy interior and crisp exterior. The grandma slice was the best of the bunch. It featured an excellent sauce with fresh garlic and a crisp base with a crunchy crust. If the slice had more of the excellent sauce, it would have been even better. -@BoroPizzaHunter on Instagram

The first time I ever got this pizza it was so good that I could only think about it when someone mention pizza at all I've gotten it multiple times since then and it varies to be honest I want to give this five stars however, it seems like the dressing that they use varies every time I order some consistency would be nice otherwise great pizza place and this is a good choice if you like pan, pizza or barbecue chicken pizza at all

I never thought I would find New York pizza in Jersey! This place is absolutely amazing. Their margarita pizza is a family favorite in our house. Thank you Di Farina for always getting our pizza right.

a pizza in a box

Disappointed tonight. I'm a regular ordered at DiFarina. Ordered for delivery and pizza showed up looking like this. Contacted store and was told I could get a refund or bring the item in and they would add toppings. No option to redeliver. I'm not one to post reviews often but the service tonight was really lacking. Food has never disappointed until tonight.

a platter of sliced tomatoes and cheese

Normally my go-to spot, my family probably spends over $1000 a year there on dinners, parties, etc. I love the web based ordering system and knowing that its in prep/out for delivery. Last night we said what the heck, lets get the 'fresh' mutz and tomato only to find out its sliced deli cheese. My Italian grandfather must be rolling in his grave. Charge more if you have to but never let this leave your establishment. We had friends coming over and a refused to serve it out of embarrassment. The pie, zeppolis, and salad was on point though. It's misleading for anyone who enjoys caprese.

This review will focus more on the owner and his staff. Last week I reached out directly to Marc, the owner, as I've done in the past being a loyal repeat customer. My wife and I were hosting a get together at our house yesterday and needed to place an order. Sadly, we needed the order to be picked up before their usual business hours. Marc immediately offered to have his guys come in a bit early just to accommodate our order. When I got there yesterday for pick up, I was greeted warmly and offered an espresso on the house while I waited. What an experience! There are plenty other businesses in this area who would not do this, ever. Marc appreciates the support and loyalty and it truly shows. Of course everything was a major hit with our guests as well. You can pizza many other places, even in the former Nola's location coincidentally. What you can't get is treated like family. Thank you Marc, Steve, and the entire crew!

After you order, they bring out very nice fresh and warm rolls with butter. My wife and I began with the Bruschetta which was really tasty. Four long toasted slices smothered with a very tasty tomato, onion, etc. I ordered the pasta special with was a spicy pappardelle with capers, anchovies, olives, and sea scallops. The portion was very generous with the right amount of heat. Great choice. My wife ordered the homemade fusilli pasta with crumbled sausage and broccoli rabe. It was excellent. I know because I ate her leftovers the next day for lunch. The prices were very reasonable and the service was very good. There is plenty of parking in the municipal lots and some street parking. Just know that this restaurant only takes American Express or cash. It is mentioned on their menu and there is an ATM in the back of the restaurant. We didn't know until we arrived and ordered. No big deal for us and we paid cash. I'll try to get back sooner than 11 years.

It is on the menu, but if you don't look, you may miss it. Just because of that, I will not return. In my honest opinion that's kind of weird that they only accept American Express. Yes they do have an ATM in their restaurant so you could withdraw cash but I didn't really wanna worry about ATM fees. Luckily a bank I use is close by so I was able to go withdraw cash from there. If I had realized this beforehand, I would have not dined in at this restaurant. Luckily, my sister had offered to run to the bank to withdraw the cash and I'm glad that our waiter was patient while we went to our bank to get cash. As for the food, it isn't worth the headache of having to get cash or worry if you have an American Express card. The Margherita pizza we ordered looked like a cheese pizza. I mean the cheese pizza was good but when I imagined a Margherita pizza, I had a different type of pizza in mind. Unless there are different versions of Margherita pizza. I ordered the antipasto salad which wasn't too bad. I enjoyed my salad for the most part. My sister got the Penne Alla Vodka and our friend got the Alfredo pasta. We all agreed that the food was average and the pricing is pretty reasonable. Overall, would I return? Probably not just because of the American Express and cash only payment option. It isn't really worth it in that case. But I will admit the service was awesome and the people were definitely friendly.

We were greeted quickly and invited in for beautiful seating options. Once seated they presented themselves and took drink orders. Our surface continued they presented their menu and the specialist of the day, but you're absolutely enticing. Ultimately, we had an Italian carbonara tortellini with chicken and a chicken franchise with linguini. They provided bread service with homemade bread to get us started. We each tried the amazing pasta fagioli soup. After offering to fill the table, they presented our main dishes of which every one of them work very welcome here. I've got so carried away with how it was. I forgot to photograph! Definitely a nice evening with a good friend or your sweetheart. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It had been one of the hottest days in the past decade and we noticed upon walking in that the AC might not have been functioning correctly. It was a bit uncomfortable. That should have been our sign. With the entire restaurant at 25 percent capacity, the hostess decided to seat us right next to another couple. I could touch their table. After we placed our order, complimentary bread was provided. It was fresh and devoured quickly. We began our meal with the fried calamari. It was very good and seasoned nicely. No need for additional salt or pepper. Cooked fresh. Our entrees consisted of chicken murphy and baked ziti with eggplant. My chicken murphy was excellent and the portion was very generous. However, my wife received baked ziti with sausage. Did she send it back? She tried multiple times. We could not find our waiter and I refused to have her get up and track him down. The waiter never came back for the obligatory "How is everything?" "Can I get you anything else?" So, she picked the sausage out of the dish and just ate the baked ziti. When the waiter came back to ask if we wanted dessert, we told him about the mistake. The waiter came back and said they took 10% off the check. So, keep in mind the restaurant is very warm and a film of sweat has already started early on after we sat down. Wrong dish, poor service, and warm restaurant. When the waiter brought over our credit card receipt, he also brought over another customer's receipt and gave us both. I walked to a couple of other tables asking if it was their receipt since our waiter had walked away already. There is ample parking on the street and a few public lots within walking distance to the restaurant. The prices are reasonable. If it wasn't for the tasty food, this easily would have been a one star review.
