Chicken Soup the best in the area.

They have the best chicken soup in the area. Fresh with real carrots celery & chicken. Their delivery guy is the best too. Love this place great prices.

Wow First time here, place is seemed like it would be great. Monica was the cashier girl and she was so sweet! But I waited for 10 min for 1 slice after they told me 1 min but that's not why I'm writing this. The guy puting the orders together grabbed my pizza with his bare hands and put it in the oven, after I watched him deal with 100 other items for other ppl, I politely asked for another slice && he had the audacity to justify his actions by telling me "the oven kills the germs" that shows me that he must do that often and he feels better by telling himself that the "oven kills the germs" I literally came in just for that. I don't like he tried to tell me that like it was ok. I'm so disappointed because I'm a nurse (I was in scrubs) u can't tell me 30seconds in an oven is going to kill all the germs. But it sucks cuz my entire office goes there / order from there well not any more. Place in side does have sitting at least, place is ehhh. But I won't be going back even tho i love pizza.

Never been to Buona before or heard of it. I was doing my laundry up the street and was hungry and wondered in for a slice. Amazing slice, crispy but not burnt, crust was great, pizza was fresh. I loved it.

So their sign on the door says best pizza, we'll let me tell you! The pizza place is my new go to! The crust is so good perfect crisp. The price is right and the staff is wonderful. They have plenty of parking and a few tables inside. They are very busy for lunch but fast.

Hands-down my favorite pizza place in all of Jersey, simply because of their salad pizza. You can taste why this business is an award winner with your first bite - fresh ingredients, simple yet stunning execution with a combination of flavors that leaves you pining for another slice. The only mistake I've made in the past was not ordering enough. I hear their cheese is really good, too. But the salad pizza is phenomenal.

Best pizza, and still has the old school pizzeria feel because of the family own business.

The ambiance was pleasant and there's an option to dine outdoors (not my preference, especially literally on the sidewalk). The service was wonderful, our server answered all of our questions, and made good suggestions. She was knowledgeable about the entire menu, which was great and useful. The food overall was mediocre. We began with Tomato Bruschetta as an appetizer and I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. It was delicious! The bread itself stole the show! I would not have ordered it, so I'm glad that my friend did. We also add the fried calamari, which was excellent. It was crispy and nicely coated. The marinara sauce was watery and flavorless, further proving why I am not a fan of it. However, I did dip my calamari in the mango & sweet chili vinaigrette... AMAZING combo! Then there's the Giuseppe Pizza, good but not great. Again, the bread and crust were the major flavor points. Not over or under done, just right. The chicken and arugula on top, nice touch. Lastly, the mango salad and an addition of shrimp. Overall, everything was just okay. I would not be in a hurry to go back, but we enjoyed our time. Keep in mind, there's an additional charge if you pay with a card. That seems to be the ridiculous trend these days with restaurants everywhere.

After you order, they bring out very nice fresh and warm rolls with butter. My wife and I began with the Bruschetta which was really tasty. Four long toasted slices smothered with a very tasty tomato, onion, etc. I ordered the pasta special with was a spicy pappardelle with capers, anchovies, olives, and sea scallops. The portion was very generous with the right amount of heat. Great choice. My wife ordered the homemade fusilli pasta with crumbled sausage and broccoli rabe. It was excellent. I know because I ate her leftovers the next day for lunch. The prices were very reasonable and the service was very good. There is plenty of parking in the municipal lots and some street parking. Just know that this restaurant only takes American Express or cash. It is mentioned on their menu and there is an ATM in the back of the restaurant. We didn't know until we arrived and ordered. It is on the menu, but if you don't look, you may miss it. Just because of that, I will not return. In my honest opinion that's kind of weird that they only accept American Express. Yes they do have an ATM in their restaurant so you could withdraw cash but I didn't really wanna worry about ATM fees. Luckily a bank I use is close by so I was able to go withdraw cash from there. If I had realized this beforehand, I would have not dined in at this restaurant. Luckily, my sister had offered to run to the bank to withdraw the cash and I'm glad that our waiter was patient while we went to our bank to get cash. As for the food, it isn't worth the headache of having to get cash or worry if you have an American Express card. The Margherita pizza we ordered looked like a cheese pizza. I mean the cheese pizza was good but when I imagined a Margherita pizza, I had a different type of pizza in mind. Unless there are different versions of Margherita pizza. I ordered the antipasto salad which wasn't too bad. I enjoyed my salad for the most part. My sister got the Penne Alla Vodka and our friend got the Alfredo pasta. We all agreed that the food was average and the pricing is pretty reasonable. Overall, would I return? Probably not just because of the American Express and cash only payment option. It isn't really worth it in that case. But I will admit the service was awesome and the people were definitely friendly.

It had been one of the hottest days in the past decade and we noticed upon walking in that the AC might not have been functioning correctly. It was a bit uncomfortable. That should have been our sign. With the entire restaurant at 25 percent capacity, the hostess decided to seat us right next to another couple. I could touch their table. After we placed our order, complimentary bread was provided. It was fresh and devoured quickly. We began our meal with the fried calamari. It was very good and seasoned nicely. No need for additional salt or pepper. Cooked fresh. Our entrees consisted of chicken murphy and baked ziti with eggplant. My chicken murphy was excellent and the portion was very generous. However, my wife received baked ziti with sausage. Did she send it back? She tried multiple times. We could not find our waiter and I refused to have her get up and track him down. The waiter never came back for the obligatory "How is everything?" "Can I get you anything else?" So, she picked the sausage out of the dish and just ate the baked ziti. When the waiter came back to ask if we wanted dessert, we told him about the mistake. The waiter came back and said they took 10% off the check. So, keep in mind the restaurant is very warm and a film of sweat has already started early on after we sat down. Wrong dish, poor service, and warm restaurant. When the waiter brought over our credit card receipt, he also brought over another customer's receipt and gave us both. I walked to a couple of other tables asking if it was their receipt since our waiter had walked away already. There is ample parking on the street and a few public lots within walking distance to the restaurant. The prices are reasonable. If it wasn't for the tasty food, this easily would have been a one star review.

So, I decided to give it a try for dinner. They don't accept reservations. I arrived around 6:30 pm on a Friday to avoid crazy wait times, but still had to wait ~40 minutes. I didn't come with kids, but I saw a lot of families waiting. It was a kid friendly space. The inside was quite dim & it kept getting dimmer as the night progressed. I didn't love this, but it didn't bother me as much either. Pizza was delicious, and the bread tasted very fresh. The pictures show an individual pizza size, which we were told might not be big enough to share, but we made it work amongst 3 girls.
