Even before you enter, the exterior greets you with Greece visuals and eye pleasing colors. Once inside, the attention to detail is pleasantly overwhelming. From decorative trees, florals, comfortable seating, and charming lighting, which made the experience that much more memorable. We started with an array of drinks, that everyone enjoyed. Mine was a Mocktail called, Son of a Beach (Undone not rum, Jamaican sugar cane, coconut, Pineapple, Club Soda). One thing that stands out about this meal is how our Server, Abdu, went above and beyond with the service. Abdu took a few of us over to where the seafood was displayed and educated us on each one. Aside from that much appreciated gesture, we received extraordinary service and we were not rushed after the meal (we dined and chatted from 6:30 PM until almost 10:00 PM). Our delicious and shared appetizers were: Lamb Cigar Rolls, Grilled Octopus, Naxos Chips (eggplant & zucchini). The entrees were the highlight of the meal and they were: Fagri (Mediterranean Pink Snapper), Day Boat Scallops, Braised Lamb Shank, Lemon Ouzo Chicken, and Filet Mignon. Every item had artistic presentations and each and every one of us enjoyed every bite...in-between accolades. Their business model is clearly focused on takeaway / online orders / to-go, with very little emphasis on dine-in even though they have 6-7 tables that could seat around 28 people. It's just not their priority, it seems. Anyway, I ordered at the counter: Goat Pepper Fry I honestly can't recall having a better version anywhere. Rajni's version comes close, but this one wins in consistency and flavor. Absolutely worth it. Pachi Mirchi Kodi Biryani- Let's not call it biryani--because it's not. But as a dish? Fantastic. It's more like chicken gravy mixed with rice, and it tastes really good. but its miles away from being called BIRYANI. I'm a big mutton/lamb/goat and biryani lover. Most people hesitate to try goat at restaurants due to the smell, but I always give it a shot--knowing I'll be disappointed 70% of the time. This time, it paid off. Overall, I'd give them a 4/5, but: * I'm deducting 1/2 star for hygiene. Even if dine-in isn't their focus, the restaurant still needs basic cleaning. Tables, stands, and doors were visibly dirty. * Another 1/2 star for the paper plates and plastic cutlery. I can't enjoy biryani with tiny plastic spoons--they practically cut your lips. The mixed grill was okay, although the Behari kebab had some serious heat. One bite and you felt the need to drown yourself in water just to survive. . The chapli kebab was good but just wrong meat.... For us, the highlights were definitely the papdi chaat, samosa chaat, naan, and the kulfi (which seemed more like an Indian packaged brand than something homemade). Overall, I'd give it 4/5 for ambiance, 3/5 for food, and 4/5 for price. Service improved when we asked for a few changes, and the staff were helpful. He said that he was "trying to find you to give you my card" because "he did hear about the incident and he feels really bad." No one came back to address the situation, no one offered to make another plate of food for my husband to make up for the food they accidentally threw away. He offered his card, but I declined because I will not be going back. Honestly, poor service and optics for a high-end restaurant, at best. If you're used to high-end haute cuisine and have an eclectic palette, I'd skip this restaurant. I think my son really liked the strawberry cheesecake. I thought the blueberry lemon were great. The pancakes tasted like they used some sort of lemon zest or something in the batter, as the lemon really shined through nicely. My eggs were a little overcooked, but the bacon was pretty spot on. I had also gotten a hot chocolate which I thought was good, although there was some powdered mix that was not fully incorporated in the bottom. My biggest gripe was they automatically added an 18% gratuity to all parties of two or more, and if you were going to do that, just raise your prices and have a no-tipping policy. I am sure there are solo diners, but basically everyone is getting charged the 18%, so just raise your prices so there is more transparency for what you are being charged since there was literally no single diners there when I was there. There was also a few price things on our bill that I wasn't thrilled about. Their menu has listed items that are additional for an upcharge. When I had ordered the Monroe, I had the option to add cheese to it, and they asked if I would like any cheese with it, so I said sure. The little bit of cheese was an extra $1.50, and I feel like being that they have other things that they clearly called out as an upcharge, they should have let me know it was an extra $1.50 for this. Also on the bill, they charged me for oat milk for my hot chocolate. I had to draw this to their attention that I hadn't ordered oat milk. they merely said, "well we mixed it in." That's not the point, it did taste a little off, and I specifically ordered a regular hot chocolate. While they took the 50 cents off, it did feel like they were just nickeling and diming me on some things. Overall, I had an okay experience. The pancakes were good, but the service was friendly. By the time we left, the place was completely packed and people were waiting outside so I think that speaks to how good the food is and maybe I just had a slightly less positive experience.
