We discovered that most propane companies have poor reputations, but we decided to give Utah LP a try. They are absolutely the best! As I type this, they are filling our tank on a Sunday, which is unheard of in Utah. They have the best prices (half of what our neighbors pay for Amerigas, cheap tank rental, and friendly staff who go the extra mile. We love em!

Today, I showed up and yet again their card readers won't recognize/read my card (a circumstance unique to Slim Olsen's) and an event so frequent that most of the cashiers recognize their equipment problems as a known issue. After waiting for the cashier to offer me a moments attention, I explain the issue with the card reader and ask him to open the pump. He explains to me that because the card didn't read, he would be uncomfortable letting me get gas. Not sure what level of discernment he's utilizing but i have all my teeth, comb my hair, dress well and have a vehicle that should afford me the benefit of any doubt. So, I left and said that, I won't be back. By the look of things, I don't think I'm the first to write Slim's off; there's just not the customers that there used to be. The reviews speak for themselves. I can appreciate that people may take advantage of a gas station but when you treat a loyal customer as though he's a common criminal you're embarking on a bad and very short term business model. And two minutes later at a nearby Chevron, using the exact same card, at a much lower price, I filled my tank and felt happy about it.

One of the employees just instructed me to leave it on the side of the building and they would email my receipt. Well it turns out the trailer wasn't officially checked in untill past the due back time. This apparently causes Uhaul to automatically bill you for another days rental. So I returned to the store and an employee was able to refund that additional days charge. One thing I did was take a picture of the trailer unhooked and returned. If Uhaul had refused to make things right I would of had evidence of the time of return. I suggest you do the same.

I went to the cabin a day or two later to find our 300 foot dirt lane was totally ruined, ruts up to 18 inches deep, a large tree had been damaged, and the lane was almost impassable. I called Brandon to see what had happened. He said the truck got stuck in the mud and they had to pay a tow truck $1200 to haul it out. No one called to tell me about the damage to our property. Their explanation was that we ordered the propane so they delivered it. They are unwilling to pay to get our lane properly graded and repaired. They claim it was my fault because I ordered propane. The driver could have walked his long hose down our lane to the tank. He chose to drive in the mud. It was dry when I ordered the propane. Chris also suggested that it was the tow truck's fault for all the damage. Really??? The tow truck wouldn't have been there if the propane driver had been smart enough not to drive in the mud. We are definitely changing propane companies as soon as possible. We have felt like we have had good service in the past but this event was totally inexcusable. They would not accept any responsibility for the damage to our property. It will take big equipment to repair our lane. Very unethical. I would not use this company again.

Wood Cross!! My car was towed!! I scheduled and bought a…read moreticket to ride the "St George Express" shuttle. Slim Olson's is the designated meeting place to be picked up for my ride to Mesquite. I parked my car on the gravel behind "Slim Olson's", where other cars were parked. There was no sign of me breaking the law. Afterall, obviously "St George Express" and "Slim Olson's" have an agreement or understanding that cars will be parked here with it being a designated meeting point for riders. My car is a nice car and obviously wasn't a breakdown. It had been parked there out of the way on Saturday Oct 27 at 12:20pm and I returned to pick it up Monday Oct 29 7pm and to my surprise it was gone.

The attended told me that I needed to go park up by the propane tank because "thats where they look for ya". After waiting up at the tank for about five minutes I pushed the call attendant button, I was told that they had already sent someone up, waited another five minutes for the attendant to come up and fill my tank. After he'd filled it I followed him back down to the store to pay. The attendant there barked my total at me and after I'd paid thew my recipt across the counter to me.. I'll think twice before I get anything here again..
