As anyone who has moved before will tell you that relocating is exciting, frustrating and an emotional life changing event. I was trying to move my 4 bedroom house from Illinois to the South myself! I was trying to save money and was confident that I could do it myself when Mark and Chris turned my whole experience all around! My initial plan was to pack myself and have ABF transport my belongings. While ABF is a great solution for many, it was too much work and I would have needed a fleet of their trailers. In near tears and ready to make it happen, a friend called Mark who gave me an estimate and they were packing and loading within days of the estimate! The crew arrived on time (punctual), took care to pack everything-small & delicate (personal caring), individually covered every piece of furniture (attentive) secured furnishings (protected & stabilized), loaded, transported and unpacked the precious remnants of my life. My belongings arrived two days later where I was unloaded & re-assembled by a different yet very ambitious and hard working crew! Nothing was broken or damaged! The week I was supposed to move brought bad weather. I had a long gravel driveway and expressed to Eric that his truck may not make it through on moving day and that we should reschedule. He assured me that it would. On moving day they spent in total almost 2 hours trying to get the truck in and out of the driveway. They were not able to take my mower or other lawn equipment on the truck and offered a flatbed at an additional cost. I had no faith that the flatbed would be able to get in/out of the driveway with the snow so I decided to call on a later date for the equipment. His crew cracked my headboard and left cigarette butts at both houses. When I contacted him about moving the lawn equipment in April he did not respond.

Paul, Zach and David were highly efficient and professional. They unpacked all the items as requested and did so much more quickly than expected. When Craig dropped off the trailer, he demonstrated how to use the ramp and how to secure the bulkhead. Before the move, Barry told me the crew would remove and dispose of the furniture we didn't want at no additional charge. However, when the crew arrived, they initially refused to take the furniture and later tried to charge me to move those unwanted items. What made the experience even worse was the customer service. After the move was completed, the owner, Marcus, called me and went on a profanity laden tirade even though I had not spoken with him at all during the moving process. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, I felt I was treated with disrespect and hostility. Overall, the poor communication, attempting to not honor what was promised, rushed work, and unprofessional customer service made this an extremely negative experience. Mattress damaged, boxes accordion like when they arrived - the mover on this end said in 25 years he had never seen anything like it! They wouldn't process my claim unless I paid the extra charges! I agreed to $1000 more then I was in dispute for 6 months with a guy from the company backing me and still they are trying to send me to arbitration. I am hiring a lawyer - not my thing but can't stand this type of corruption!
