My husband and I were seeing another fertility dr in the valley and we felt like it wasn't a great fit. There were a lot of uneasy appts, lack of communication and we felt they didn't understand our timeline. We both understand this journey isn't a fast journey but my husband is an active duty military member and he was deploying for 12 mos. We started this journey a little over 1.5 years and the last office was just dragging their feet and we voiced our concerns since he was preparing to leave last December. I went back to my primary care dr on base and they referred us to Dr Craig. His office is a lot farther from us but to be honest it is 100% worth the drive. From the very first appt with dr Craig in person was so easy and he went into great detail of all the test we did that day and wrote out a timeline txt plan. I really appreciated Dr Craig taking his time and sitting in person with me. The last office, I never met the dr in person. I did not like that at all. We asked for a sit down in person and was told those are phone appts. We did not like that. We unfortunately don't have a little baby running around yet but Dr Craig and his office have been so accommodating with our situation and have been very informative. We are hoping this next round of IUI will stick but overall we have really enjoyed our experience with the staff thus far. I highly recommend! read more

I've been meaning to write this review for some time now. The Fertility Treatment Center has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. After being given a grim fertility prognosis from other clinics in my late-thirties, I went on to have two healthy babies (with my own eggs) at 43 and 49, under the care of Dr. Craig and his incredible staff. This was despite having numerous infertility-related diagnoses. The support and healthy optimism received made all the difference, and will never be forgotten. They were also very flexible with appointment availability around my work schedule. The IVF process was made seamless, despite the complexity and timing of everything that needs to be done. I actually loved going to my appointment, as their building is aesthetically beautiful, relaxing, and they always have good movies playing in the lobby! We also felt everyone at the clinic was on our side, never felt judged for being so old on our journey to begin parenthood. Dr. Craig is excellent at making your treatment options easy to understand, as well as executing them in a way that makes you feel you are in the best possible hands. It is very apparent that he is at the leading edge of his field and is passionate about the work he does. He has created a clinic that works together as miraculously as his treatment regimens. I love this place so much! We haven't gotten the baby of our dreams yet but we've been to 3 other reproductive endo people and the difference is amazing. With the other places, it felt like they were in no big hurry to figure things out and I'm 34 and my husband is 42 so we're in a bit of a hurry at this point and Dr Craig was on top of things from the very beginning and we got started immediately and his staff is absolutely fantastic. Overall, my experience with the Fertility Treatment Center was positive, and it was ultimately successful! I visited the office over the course of about a year (with gaps in between due to travel and other reasons) before we were passed onto our OBGYN office. The number of fertility cycles that we did with the office was 4 assisted cycles before we were successful. In reading other reviews prior, I was aware that you may only meet with Dr. Craig only once (during the first consultation visit), so I wasn't surprised to meet with medical assistants/ultrasound techs for the following appointments. In our case, we actually met with Dr. Craig a second time to discuss IUI and IVF options, but we ended up not needing anything more because we found out we were pregnant about a week later. We both really like Dr. Craig! He speaks very quickly and softly sometimes, but he is very patient in answering questions or repeating anything you may not understand. All of the staff are nice too. I am so glad we went through this office for fertility help. They diagnosed and recommended exactly what was needed to yield the outcome we wanted, and I'm thankful I had the extra blood test monitoring from them when I first got the positive pregnancy test to get onto the necessary thyroid medication so early in the pregnancy, that I wouldn't have known that I needed otherwise. If we ever decide to have a second child, we'll plan on coming back to FTC! read more

Phenomenal care! We can't speak highly enough about the team at The Fertility Treatment Center. This is a little bit about our fertility journey prior to finding Dr. Craig: My wife and I are both 40. - 3 previous rounds of egg retrieval (1 in Los Angeles, 2 in Phoenix) - 3 previous implantations that did not succeed (all in Phoenix, ultrasound literally broke during one, positive pregnancy tests after 2, neither of which were viable at first ultrasound [i.e. no heartbeat]). - Not a great experience at the previous practices due to overall poor communication and fees that made us feel like we were being "nickel and dimed". This is what set The Fertility Treatment Center apart from the previous practices: - Communication: When you call the office, there is an actual person who picks up the phone during business hours. It was rare that we ever had to leave a message. When we did have to leave a message, it was rare for us to wait longer than an hour before receiving a call back. Emails were returned within 1-2 hours during the week (sometimes even on nights and weekends). Equally as important, Dr. Craig and his staff were all on the same page with regard to our protocol. We never received contradicting instructions from different staff members. If you are new to the fertility journey, communication is of the utmost importance because the medications themselves and timing of medications changes frequently. If communication is delayed or inconsistent, it can affect the likelihood of successful treatment - Up front, itemized pricing: There weren't any extra fees outside of the list provided by The Fertility Treatment Center at our initial consult. IVF is expensive and usually not covered by insurance, so it is very helpful to know what you will be charged prior to starting the process. (To put this in perspective, at our previous practice, after our third implantation didn't lead to a sustained pregnancy, we were offered a video appointment with our physician. After spending tens of thousands of dollars at their practice, we were later billed $200 for this 10 minute video appointment. For lack of better expression, we felt this was in poor taste.) - Amber Lee: She was the medical assistant who helped to coordinate our care. Amber Lee was outstanding in every way. My wife had frequent questions, and Amber Lee always responded quickly via email or phone call, even on Friday nights. (We once emailed Amber Lee at 7pm on a Friday, and although we didn't expect it, she got back to us at 10pm the same night). She was truly incredible, and we were lucky to work with her and the other staff members (all of whom were also great). - Dr. Craig: My wife gave birth to healthy twin babies this April. Dr. Craig and the team at Fertility Treatment Center are great! I spent about two years with them and they never gave up on me. We started with IUI and a lot of different testing to see what my issues might be. We found a slight hormone imbalance and my husband had a slightly low sperm count (although not a big deal when you are doing IUI/IVF). We did 7 rounds of IUI before making the big decision of moving forward with IVF. My coordinator, Maggie took care of me through the whole process of stimulation/egg retrieval and of course the big transfer day. The second transfer was a success and I am currently about 9 weeks pregnant. I was very nervous about moving forward with IVF as that was not something we were planning to do but I am do happy we ended up taking the leap. Few things to note: your coordinator will be able to answer all questions in detail if you missed anything with your consult with Dr. Craig. He does speak very fast and is very statistical --so if you have questions, write them down to make sure you get them answered. He is brilliant and his plans are detailed and custom to you but the meetings with him go very fast. If you realize you forgot anything, the coordinators and clarify anything you need. Just wanted to share how absolutely amazing this team is. We have been seeing DrCraig as well as the rest of the staff (Kristina, Becca, Angelica, Veronica, michella,) And they have all been so kind and caring. We have not had success getting pregnant (YET!, currently starting out 3rd IUI) but have been seeing this team since June and everything has moved smoothly. I might be their most annoying patient since I message in the portal every other day (yes you can easily chat them from an app!) they always reply within 12 hours (more like 2!) or call me back from their on-call number. Love this office! Dr.Craig truly is the best at what he does. Everything he discussed at our first session with him did come out exactly how he said. He didn't see us much, however he was always in the lab working on what to do next. The staff at this location are awesome. I understand many people have mixed reviews on this place, just for the sheer fact that it's a tough situation to deal with! Everyone is different when it comes to treatment, as for my personal experience, I think it was great. I have read comments that they didn't get to see Dr. Craig that often. That is very true. My husband & I saw him once with the first consult. He talked VERY fast & sort of mumbled, so you have to listen closely. I saw him again for a small procedure that took 5 minutes. I waited in the waiting room for an hour & a half for the 5 minute so that was kind of annoying. We conceived on our first IUI. Kristina is so caring, sweet, compassionate, & really listens to what your concerns & feelings are. She explains everything in depth & doesn't beat around the bush. Shannon is such a great person. She's also so compassionate & such a great person. Whenever I call worried, or whenever she calls to let me know results of something, she talks to me like a friend, in a professional manner, but still not just like another patient. Susan is very neat, too. She is so nice to talk to & tells / shows you everything on the ultrasound. She always prints plenty of pictures & very compassionate as well. These 3 ladies are really the only ones we have been around constantly. They are all amazing & definitely keep us at ease. Not many cons, Except for the wait, as stated above Dr. Craigs not speaking clearly & too quickly I went in once for a blood draw & someone I hadn't ever met before blew my vein twice & I had a bruise on my arm as long as a banana. Another is, sometimes my calls didn't get returned for a while but if it's an emergency they will answer right away. That's one thing that really irritated me. In conclusion, it definitely can be pricey, but truly in the end it in worth it. As far as insurance goes, it's not really considered "medical". They try their hardest to bill your insurance as much as they can. Be sure to call your insurance and get the billing code, etc. From Mishella before you go & expect it to be paid for!! You will be in for a rude awakening. Just be prepared and not expect everything to be covered. Usually only 50% of it is, but they definitely do as much as they can. read more

I loved this place!! Every single person in the office from front desk - blood draw nurses- ultrasound techs & billing were amazing! My husband and i tried for 2 years with 1 miscarriage and were pregnant with a baby girl within 3 months & 2 trys at IUI. After we "graduated" and went to our OB it was tough going from weekly ultrasounds & treated with such care to "normalcy." I can't say enough about this place ! I was nervous to go at first because I was scared of the outcome, however from my first consultation to my last appointment ( I graduated !!) it was amazing. I was told my options at my consultation, and I was scared because I choose medicated timed intercourse that I wouldn't be taken care of that great because it's not a money maker, however my thought was wrong. I called probably once a week with questions or concerns and was always answered back in a timely manner. I was blessed to only have to do one cycle and get pregnant, and with my anxiety I called them and told them I'm concerned about hcg levels they were happy to ease my mind and give me another blood draw. Everyone is super welcoming from the front desk ( blonde hair gal forgot her name ) she always greeted me with a smile all the girls who drew my blood and my ultrasound technician everyone was great! Do your research, I wish I had. Meet with multiple doctors and multiple clinics. Research as much as you can about fertility treatment and options available. If Dr Craig and FTC is a good fit for you then great, it wasn't for us. The nursing staff is great, especially Alexis, and does their best trying to keep you positive and give the warm fuzzy feeling I would expect in this situation but you won't get any of that from Dr Craig. Our treatment was impersonal and I honestly don't think Dr Craig knows anything about me except the number from the blood tests he orders. We are waiting for results on a second FET because FTC had our other embryos and it was included in our payment, we're not very hopeful it will work, and we definitely won't be returning to FTC. read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Craig, Dr. Toa, and the entire office staff at FTC. I switched to FTC after working with another Dr. for two rounds of IVF. These rounds were not successful and it didn't seem like my DR was to date on the latest developments or protocols. I went with very low expectations as I was already 41 years old and told multiple times by my previous doctor that my chances were very low with my own eggs. It was a whole new ball game with Dr. Craig. From my first meeting I never felt any pressure or any doubt. He calmly reviewed my information before I got there. (Meaning he actually read my file that took forever to fill out). Then he explained my options and the percentages of success given the information he had on me. It was clear concise and understandable. Most impressive was that Dr. Craig was not afraid to use my eggs. He did not force donated eggs on me to up his stats. I wanted to try with my own eggs and he supported me. This is not the case at other facilities. They will push you into situations you may not be comfortable with yet to safe their stats. We went through 3 retrievals with them and utilized PGS testing which Dr. Craig supported even though he didn't recommend it. My husband and I pushed for it. We did one transfer of two embryos and are now the delighted parents of the cutest little 1 year old. Keep an open mind, If you have never worked with another Fertility Clinic before you may think the Dr. should be meeting with you all the time and super personably etc. Well I had one that was all sweet and she couldn't get me pregnant. Dr. Craig is like a mad scientist. I would rather have him in the lab looking at my numbers, adjusting as needed and focused on getting me pregnant that visiting each week. The office staff does that. And they do a wonderful job at it. Again you wont be disappointed with this facility. read more

I am currently 15 weeks from my 1st IVF and embryo transfer with FTC. Everyone from the receptionist, to the coordinators, to the embryology lab to Dr Craig were top notch. I give 3 starts because staff is great, but I would have preferred more one on one time with the Doctor himself. Tamara is who I worked with on a weekly and sometimes twice weekly basis and she was amazing. Patient, positive, and took her time answering all of my questions. I had Dr. Craig and be prepared when you first meet with him he talks extremely fast and it can be hard to keep up with him. Bring a list of questions and be prepared to stop him to clarify what he is saying. He is very thorough, but very fast. After 3 failed IUI's and only seeing him for one appointment, I had to request to see him to discuss my treatments. I think that there should be more interaction with him, especially since it is such a costly and emotional process. But thankfully the rest of the staff was so nice! Although their treatments did not work for me, I felt that they kept trying and always had a plan. read more

Dr. Behera has the best personality of any doctor! She always makes you feel welcome and takes the time to answer questions and explain procedures. She seems to really care about all her patients. She's beautiful, pleasant, patient, and hugs her patients. Dr. Behera and Dr. Craig even have a family celebration every year where they invite all patients to bring their families for an afternoon of fun. The staff had told me they look forward to that event every year because they get to see all the babies that come into the world from their efforts. We attended this year and stood in line for a half hour just to let her know we were having a healthy pregnancy and have our picture taken with her. The staff is also awesome. They are not always as cheerful (after all they are drawing blood which I am sure gets boring). But, they perk up right away if you start a conversation with them and are very pleasant. The only complaint I have about this business is the wait time. I would go at lunch to get blood drawn and it was not unusual for my total time in the office to take 30 - 45 minutes. The blood draw only took 5 minutes. Early morning visits tended to be quicker. read more

They were completely unprepared for my tipped uterus during our embryo transfer. (Why they were unprepared, I don't know. I had countless IUIs/ HSGs and examinations where every single time they had to grab another tube/ device/ speculum to accommodate it.) I would have never in a million years thought they would be unprepared for an embryo transfer. So....my only good embryos sat out for 45+ minutes while Dr. Craig attempted to physically turn my uterus. You can imagine how painful that was...and I've had a child before. Not shocking, they did not implant. Nor did the next frozen transfer of lesser-quality embryos. He never took ownership of that botched procedure nor offered any refunds. But he was more than willing after that to sell us into other things (more money). The 2.5 years in this practice completely turned my husband against all fertility doctors. So, six years later after my experience at this practice (and ten years of an infertility journey, we are at the end of our fertility journey with no additional children. Thanks Dr. Craig. read more

Welcome to being a number in a fertility shop. Long waits. High prices. We felt like numbers on a paper and people who needed to be fixed. The providers couldn't ever seem to coordinate. Dr. Craig would give an order and then the nurse would do something different or be clueless about it. Ugh... I don't question Dr. Craig's competency...there's no question he is a qualified physician...but I do question the execution of his business. For as much as we spent on (in)fertility (all out of pocket, of course) they just didn't meet our expectations for care. read more

Left the office in tears and was extremely discouraged. Dr. Behara came highly recommended, so my fiance' and I decided to go to her. I really wanted to try to conceive naturally, after an evaluation, she dashed my dreams of that. She gave me all the horrible statistics for someone "my age" (43). She told me I have only a 5% chance of conceiving naturally and also that my chances of conceiving a healthy baby were only 30%. I am a fitness competitor, younger than most my age physically and I am usually guessed at about 33 years old. While this doesn't mean everything in itself, it does say "something"! I had blood drawn for AMH levels and scheduled an appt. for a 3 day FSH test. After deciding to find a different specialist due to being in tears for 2 days, my records were sent to him. He explained the numbers to me and told me my FSH was already tested in the labs they did and he is not worried about my conceiving naturally at all. So why all the doom and gloom and why would she try to charge me twice for FSH levels.......she wants money and tries to push her patients to ivf. Less work for her, more money for her. I will not refer anyone to Dr. Behara, nor will I give her a good review. read more

I came to FTC in 2007 after having two miscarriages in a row trying for child #2. Most OB-GYN do not recommend going to a specialist until after a third miscarriage, but I was being pro-active, especially after making it to my 8 week ultrasounds, finding heartbeats, being reassured that everything was fine, only to miscarry. I didn't want there to be a devastating third. Without going into too much detail, I was never able to achieve a pregnancy through Dr. Craig's office despite many frustrating years, countless IUI's, and one failed IVF. While under Dr. Craig's care, I was able to get pregnant on my own, but for some reason couldn't make it past that 6-8 week pregnancy. What I commend Dr. Craig with is he always had a plan and never gave up on me. Every time I would get pregnant, the office would bring me in right away and start me on Dr. Craig's list of medications he suggested. The plan would always change with each pregnancy and we used it as a learning tool. I always knew what the plan was, he clearly wrote them out, counseled us on them, and we received a copy. Before my IVF, my FSH was high for some reason. At that time the NP took it upon herself to diagnose me with peri-menopause. She suggested that I use donor eggs and schedule a visit with Dr. Craig's (at that time) partner; that physician has since left this practice. Dr Craig assured me this was not the case that something else was going on with my hormones. I stayed loyal to Dr. Craig and never forgot what that nurse told me because when you read the end of this, I know how wrong she was!!! I'm glad she left the practice, because this office is better than her and her flighty opinions. Also, I should mention that Dr. Craig is able to think outside of the box. I like the fact that some things he suggested were unique to my case. I don't think that every patient is the same and should necessarily go through the same fertility treatments. After my IVF (the IVF was during a 3 year stint of unknown infertility after having a total of 6 losses), I decided it wasn't meant to be and finally gave away the last of our baby items after 6 years of trying. Sure enough, 2 weeks later and just a few months before my 40th birthday, I was mysteriously pregnant! I called Dr. Craig's office right away. After 2 years of not hearing from me, they got me in within the hour, on a holiday weekend, and started me on my meds. Everything progressed perfectly. I began seeing a peri-natal specialist at 6 weeks on my own accord. I am now holding a healthy baby! As I stated above, I was never able to get pregnant as a patient of Dr. Craig, but he never gave up on me and never once said it's not possible. read more

I LOVE FTC. I see a lot of reviews about how fast Dr. Craig speaks. BUT, he wrote EVERYTHING down. I have all the papers from every time I met with him. We saw him at our first consultation in which we waited about a half hour and he apologized profusely for our wait (totally fine cause I wait longer at the dentist). We met with him again after our first timed intercourse and he wrote everything down again. After meeting with him each time, we met with a nurse who explained everything and answered the million questions I had. At our first meeting after speaking with Dr Craig and the nurse, we met with the finance department who explained exactly how much everything would cost. There was never a time when I was blindsided by my treatment. My treatment was successful after my first iui. And I felt cherished from the second I walked in to the second they called me with my test results. Everyone knew me by name upon me walking in, not just by looking at the sign in. And when the girls called with my results they were just as excited as I was! I will also say that I called a dozen clinics before choosing this one and my first appointment at any of the other clinics would be the end of March. Basically I'm already pregnant before my first appointment at the other places. read more

Very disappointed in the treatment we received at FTC. Not only did we see the doctor only twice in 3 months, our treatment felt like a one size fits all. Dr. Craig talked extremely fast during our initial consultation and the nurses were not much better at making sense of the treatment ahead. My first month of treatment I felt pretty lost and it never got better. My first visit I was left waiting for 30 minutes before being seen. My first IUI appointment I waited over and hour before reminding the receptionist I was there, and was left waiting yet again over 30 minutes after the procedure because I was told someone would come tell me when it was ok to stand and leave, which they didn't. With the exception of the ultrasound tech, none of the staff seemed to care about how emotional of an experience this is for patients. If you are never going to actually see the doctor, you would think at least the staff would be more helpful and caring. We decided to go to a different doctor after our experience with Dr. Craig and I can say that the difference in treatment was night and day. I had a full hour consultation with our new doctor, saw him over 6 times in one month for ultrasounds which he did himself (Dr. Craig's office only performed one each month), was able to come in on a Sunday for treatment because it was necessary with my cycle, and was never once left waiting to be seen. We did not hear back from Dr. Craig until our current doctor sent a request for my medical history nearly 3 months after we stopped going to FTC. Not only is our current doctor more helpful but he is more affordable and has given us an all around better experience. I highly recommend doing your research before coming to the Fertility Treatment Center, I wish I had! There are better, more affordable alternatives out there to help you make this difficult experience a little easier to handle. read more

Dr. Craig and his team are top notch. They were able to diagnose and correct my fertility issue quickly and within 2 IUI sessions I was pregnant. It all happened faster than expected considering my husband and I had been trying for over a year and a half without success. Once I was pregnant they monitored me closely to make sure all my hormone levels were correct, and if not adjusted them promptly. They also monitored my baby each week with an ultrasound to make sure she was healthy and developing properly. It was great to hear her heartbeat and see her move each week. I really missed that after the transfer back to my OB. Dr. Craig, his PA, nurses and ultrasound techs really took great care of me and my baby and I know they are the only reason that I was able to get pregnant and successfully get through the first trimester. read more

I don't know where to start, we've had such an amazing experience at FTC. My husband and I had been to another clinic and had a terrible experience. We went through an IVF cycle that resulted in only one embryo. An IVF cycle with Dr. Craig resulted in 15 embryos!!! Our treatment was far more individualized and the results speak for themselves. At FTC we finally feel taken care of, but also cared for. I've never met a kinder and more compassionate staff. I've discovered that a few if not many of the staff have been involved in fertility treatment themselves in one way or another. The empathy is apparent. I've been hugged, comforted, and cheered on, all while receiving high quality, modern, and evidence based treatment. read more

Dr. Patel Has no bed side manner and is very expensive. He is also not very nice to talk to. My gut told me he was not the doctor for me. Interviewed dr. Craig, not the doctor for me. I felt like I was a number. Did ivf with dr. Couvaras and failed. Again, not the doctor for me. And now I'm with dr. Gunnala and she is wonderful and I'm so happy I listened to my gut. Dr. Mark amols is also caring and his prices are the best in town he truly cares about each of his patients. I still chose dr. Gunnala because she is an expert with endometriosis and that's the main reason I have fertility issues. Good luck everyone.
