When I called I told them that my insurance will only cover a general eye exam. They said they would call and confirm. When I arrived I told them again the same thing and to the doctor. Sure enough they charged an extra service for photos that I even asked is this part of the exam my insurance only covers an exam. I was assured yes only part of an exam. A month later I received the bill for 87 dollars for an extra service that did. I called and explained the situation with the receptionist and pretty much did not care. Will not be returning back. Service was not exceptional by any means. 4/5/18 Made an adjustment on my initial review. The owner of the office contacted me an apologized for the experience and refunded my card. She was very pleasant and sincere. I wish I had seen her for my initial visit there as I feel my experience would have been different.

They gave me prescriptions for an eye condition that seriously needs to be treated or I would lose eye sight and yet they never bother to work with the insurance to obtain approval for that drug forcing me to see another doctor so I can get treated. Last time they gave me a new prescription (I have stigmatism) that I could not wear. When I look at a square object it becomes so distorted that it is almost a diamond. I brought the glasses back and talk to the manager and they could not do anything. The facility is nice and that's probably the only good thing about it

During my recent visit there was a bonus: an optician I hadn't worked with before provided me with the best assistance I've ever had selecting my new frames. And we're talking about a lot of opticians and a lot of frames! This young man was able to articulate clearly why certain frames were more flattering so I could make my selection with confidence. Lately however, its seem like nothing but problems. The final straw was my recent visit. I had a follow up appointment which was good. The problem was with the optical department. After my appointment, I asked if I could have my glasses adjusted because they kept sliding down my nose. Without a word the woman took my glasses to the back and adjusted them. After getting them back and trying them on, they were now snug but I noticed a bit of a pinch on the bridge of my nose. Take off the glass to look and theres now a fairly large crack on my frames that sit on the bridge of my nose. I pointed out the crack and was told that it was "normal". When I tried to say it they were cra ked before hand I was told "it must have been there before" followed by "I only adjusted the legs". I genuinely could not handle the stress and left. Once I was sitting in my car I could see that the frames had been twisted, the lenses were no longer flat across. The bottom of the right lens was now sitting on my cheek and the top of the left lens was contacting my eyebrow, not something I immediately picked up on as I was focused on them not sliding down my face. Considering I had been up for 16 hours by this point, I figured I might be okay for a couple weeks until I saw my eye doctor again. All week I dealt with the pinching on my nose. After a couples days I found that they were cutting into my skin. Once I realized they were cutting my face, I was going ti call the office, explain whats happening, and hopefully get things taken care of. I didnt get the chance before they completely broke in half, in front of my orthodontic surgeon. If it wasnt for my prescription safety glasses, I would have been stranded at the doctor's office because I would not have been able to drive home. I proceeded to call the office and explain everything. There was a pause and girl came back and told me she spoke to the woman in optical and that she warned me about what would happen if they adjusted me glases. I told her that was not was happened, I wasnt told a thing. I asked what can be done about this and was asked if I could come in. Once I was there I was told to head over to the optical department to see what they could do. Same woman that cracked my glasses was going to help me chose a new pair. When I explained that I wasn't going to pay for their mistake, she said that there was nothing they could do and that I have great insurance. (Even if i used my insurance I would have to pay for new glasses). I explained again, that I was not going to pay for their mistake, and once again she tried to back pedal by saying that she told me about what would happen if they adjusted my glasses and that it was policy. Again I told her, you did not say anything when I came in and reiterated exactly what happened that day when I did come in. Spoke to the front desk again and requested to speak to my Doctor. He wasnt in, so I requested that they call me the next day. Next day has come and gone and still no call. I honestly cant believe how bad this office has gotten in the last couple years and that they wouldn't make right on there mistake to keep a patient.

Was looking for a particular kayak, and Kayak Centre had the boat. I purchased it over the phone,…read moreand was told to call 24 hours before I wanted to pick it up because it was "still in storage, not yet unwrapped by the store", and they would need to retrieve it. When I found the same boat much closer to me I called them to cancel my order and they charged me a "restocking fee" for a boat that had not yet been brought into the shop, or unwrapped. The fee I had to pay, over $260, is the charge when someone buys a boat, takes it home, and then returns it. I can understand a small penalty for "making" them write up a sales slip, but this was excessive.
